Firing-Up the Spirit Between Members

I'm interested in training, but i'll be a challenge to whoever wants to take me on.

Hotel gyms and airport food are not easy catalysts for progress, i'm welcoming anyone who wants to cater to that though! PM if you're willing to deal with it.

Alrightttttty then......

:( I was hoping for the 1st Annual World Fitness E-Partner Lottery Draft...

The only thing I see is that we wont have enough trainers. It seems we will have an overwhelming response for people who want in as participants. Also this is now becoming a challenge between trainers, something along the lines of a Physique Clinic. I dont really like that idea.

It should be more about the participants who are trying to reach their goals, not which trainer can have a better group, ya know?

What if each trainer still gets 5 people (or however many), but the people are judged by their individual progress rather than as a team.

So they're evaluated based on individual progress, not on the team's progress...and the trainer is almost irrelevant (we're not in it for the kudos)

I don't mean to sound like I'm harping at you. But I don't understand the point of someone having X number of people vs other trainer having X number of people vs etc. if you're judging each person individually.

Here's my view-

This sounds like a really good idea. The problems I see depending on choice of set up are:

If it's trainer vs trainer, then you need to have pretty equally knowledge trainers. Trainers would need to be somewhat in understanding of how to achieve their person(s) specific goal(s).

Both the lottery version and the specific paired up idea sound fun. However, it wouldn't be too fun if someone got paired up with someone that was less knowledgeable and they made no progress on a program that they knew wasn't set up very good. As an example, I would not want someone training me that had me doing an arm/shoulder day for all sorts of volume and then turn around the next day and do 50 sets of chest and 900 sets on back.

I will say that I'll extend myself to this openly-
trainer, trainee, judge w/Mreik

I just thought the aim of this was to partner up, and compete basically. Whilst sharing your progress, knowledge, give tips, etc.

I think a draft is a cool idea!

I think if possible, we could hold a draft, and after maybe 4 weeks or so, possibly do something like switch trainer and or trainees.

Something like this will help out the people being trained greatly. And with this, the restults should be enough to give the trainers of satisfaction. Not only knowing that their methods work, but also knowing that they helped one person dramaticly change their lifes! Sometimes there is no greater feeling

But here is a situation why I think there should be a draft and then maybe a trade halfway through....

Team 1...Trainee is seeing great gains/and losses...trainee has learned a great deal about what works for them and what doesn't work.

Team 2...Trainee is NOT seeing great gains and losses...although they have been filled with knowledge, maybe its not what they need yet or maybe it's just not working for them.

Team 2 and team 1 end up swapping trainer. There is a great possibility that what Trainer of team 2 was training his partner in, will work with the trainee from team 1, and trainer from team 1 can now fill his new partner with more knowledge that helped his old partner see greater gains.

I think it's great to get more information! Now granted, if the teams after the draft is working great for everyone and there is no need for a trade...then GREAT!

And, here is my journal with a couple of nasty pics for people to check out! http://training.fitness.com/journal/justin-s-path-glory-34338.html

I didnt think we had to change to doing someone else's provided routine.

I thought it was just more of a competition between two members, in aid to share knowledge and improve motivation etc. Like maybe setting targets which are agreed with each other and racing to meet those.

I want to train Tom, I'd have him up at 6am every day to take advantage of those higher T levels :yelrotflmao:
