Maybe I should start weighing in everyday... I am so not motivated this week. UGH.... and I am soooooooooooooooooooooooo close to my GW. Just not feeling it.

lol wishes, me too :D I hop on the scale two or three times a day...i know ridiculous, but it keeps me on my toes :)

2 or 3 times a day? ok thats more than me
I stick to when i first get up in the morning, anything else weighs in too heavy lol.

Ive cycled another 90 minutes today anyway in hope.

Walked a total of over four miles, and had an hour strength training at the gym: squats, deadlifts, narrow handle lat pulls, plus warm ups.

in just a week? or just today?

I missed my cycle today again *grr stupid weather*
But i hit the gym for an hour then swimming for another 30 mins. And ive done exercycle for 90mins for 35km or so each day this week.

Ok wishes I have been away for a few days refresh my memory
when is weigh in day's?Thanks Tammy

Its the 8th....

Daily Fitday Stats.

Calories burnt: 5158 (I don't believe that!)
Calories consumed: 2135

3 mile run with Wolfy
1 mile walk.

how the heck can you burn that many calories in a day from just a 4miles?

how does fitday break it down?

Its exactly the question that I keep asking, and no-one here seems to be able to answer! Here and here for example.

Today:

Total: 5158
Basal: 1531 30%
Lifestyle: 773 15%
Activities: 2854 55%

Activities included my 8.5 hours of night shift. It was hard work, a lot of it rushing around outside in the frost - tool work. So I scored it with Fitday as 'Construction, outside, remodeling'.

Ahh - your job is an everyday occurance so you should change your BMR to 'active' or something rather than sedentary and then not log your work hours.

Thanks Wishes - I've decided to do the opposite - describe my lifestyle level as sedentary, and instead, log each shift according to how hard it was as an activity. I think that would be the most accurate system, as I often have long stretches of rest days to make up for my long hours. I don't like describing my lifestyle as 'sedentary' though ;) Sounds ok?

For today, that gave me:

Total: 4214
Basal: 1531 36%
Lifestyle: 190 5%
Activities: 2493 59%

That makes my average calories burnt daily over the past week as: 3154 cals.

But on rest periods, I would expect much lower.

Thanks again, sorry for being so thick...

Hehe Yeah i generally have a sedentary lifestyle, sitting in front of a computer all day :/

Anyway , i guess doing that much makes it easier to loose it eh :)
On another note, im trying to eat more veges and fruit and less garbage again. Old habits sneak up on you until you realize you havnt eaten decent food (even if you did stay in the calorie range) in a few days.
Unfortunatly i just finished dinner and realized im only up to 680 calories for the day at a stretch. Weetabix for breaky with milk, chicken salad at lunch, hamburger for dinner plus a couple plums for snacks. Im totally full - i dunno how im gonna bulk out the calories :/

Start Weight = 259lb

Week 1 = 259
Week 2 = 259 (0)
Week 3 =
Week 4 =
Week 5 =

Finish Weight =
Total Lost in Feb = 0

well at least I undid the damage done over the weekend - arghhhhhh

It's not looking too good for me for this week. I'm not sure what I am or am not doing?!?!?! I have counted the calories and have exercised, and the weight loss that I had seen doesn't want to stay off. UGH.. maybe things will be different for the actual weigh in tomorrow. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Yes, I suppose that doing this calorie counting thing this time has explained to me why I find it so easy to lose weight - I use a lot of energy. In the bad old days, I would eat a load of crap in order to fuel it - a little too much. Now that I have switched to healthy food, I can eat quite a bit without putting on weight - also explains why, when I tried to bulk, that I couldn't increase my weight. I think that the key is healthy food.

There you go! I tend to feast on nutritional articles and books, then go out and buy more healthy stuff. Recently, I have been eating lots of green leafy stuff, berries, and tomatoes. I've also cut down on meat. I eat a lot of fish and poultry breast meat - but I've halved my meat portions since trying to lose more weight. The result: we will see tomorrow, but I just took a sneaky peak at the scales and my diet appears to be going very well even with my present daily consumption of 2,200 cals.

Not looking forward to Thursday weight in, I was bad bad bad last weekend so I am sure that the scale will not be moving down but probably up....Damn Super Bowl weekend....atleast the Colts won!!

lol.. I weigh 5 lbs more than I did last week.. I'll probably manage 7 lbs by tomorrow...

Eekk thats not good
