I had a plateau too, it took 3 weeks to get rid of. :mad:

Hi all. I too am one of those who faithfully comes back and edits my original post but doesn't really post on here.
I do my Friday weigh-ins though. May weigh in today instead, as I think my Fridays turned into Thursdays.
I find this board keeps me in line. It also inspired me to start a blog:
I weigh in here every week and write random entries, as well as put my measurements in. Feel free to check it out and comment and what not. Maybe we have similar weight loss goals and you can pass on advice or find some motivation in there (if I ever lose anything that is!).

I digress, I'm still here!
 
Yeah I have noticed a few have been updating their weight, thats great! However it would really be great to get people posting comments aswell. This forum has helped me by communicating with others I hope it continues.

Unfortunately this is the problem we've always long challenges - people lose interest pretty quickly :)

you can still join the july 2lbs a week challenge, ,an the august 2lbs a week challenge will be posted pretty soon...

well I don't plan on stopping this challenge even if I wind up the only one! haha anyhow 1 pound loss, it's frustrating but it happens, I didn't over eat, I did jog a few times this week, but thats about all. Hmm goodluck to everyone
 
Well, I like this challenge. I personally use it as a way to account to the group that I'm weighing in and devoted to falling off for fall. I find reading other posts aren't really motivating for me as much as just logging in on Fridays and weighing in. That's just me though :) So hopefully nobody closes off this challenge!

HI All,

Just stopping by to say keep up the good work.!! I kind of feel like PaintedDaisy. I log on an enter my weight faithfully and do look through all the pages of this thread to see other weights logged to keep myself accountable. I am happy for all who are losing and wishing loss to the ones with the plateaus. My motivation is coming from seeing all those lbs coming off on everybody's ticker and comparing it to mine!!
I try to run 6 days a week 3-4 miles at a time and also going to the gym twice a week for strenghtraining. I just came over a 3 week plateau that was not fun.

Hi all
Sorry I'm one of those whose is not posting much, just logging whenever I get the chance and seeing how your all getting on. Unfortunately I'm doing really badly, have stayed static for a few weeks and now am creeping up again. I'm not really watching what I eat though so its my own fault. I really need to get back to where I was at week one, when I was enthusiastic and motivated. At the moment I'm just feeling fat and lazy, its been raining here for 5 weeks so it just doesn't feel like summer!
Ok enough moaning from me! I'm going to be really good this week and see if I can make a difference.
So here's my objective for the week:
- Go to the gym every day
- Eat healthier
- Log on every day and post more :p

Sometimes trying to get back at it can become so hard, There are many times I just want to give up! Yet this time I feel like that would be the dagger in my heart! When I started this May 17th I told myself this would finally be the time I would lose all the weight I need to, there are days when I just briefly estimate my calories and there are also days when I can count it up to the calorie, but it's so true what some have said, even if you mess up just don't give up and start again on the next meal ( not the next day) I wish everyone the best of LUCK

Unfortunately I'm doing really badly, have stayed static for a few weeks and now am creeping up again.

I found it the hardest to stick with it when I don't see a loss. I had a hard 3 week plateau and was about to give up. Then somehow I just kept thinking: I came this far, look at that ticker, don't give up, keep on going. Somehow I overcome. But brutally honest: IT WAS VERY VERY HARD. There was one day when I mentally broke down to my DH about it and cried like a baby. He of course thought I was crazy.
Stick with IT!!! You will see the difference. It might be hard at times, but it will all worth it in the end.

Shyjesta: looks like you got the right idea. I can't say I am so good with every single meal either!! I have some "off days" but I just pick myself up like you and keep on going. Keep up the good work.

Tomorrow is another weigh in, how has everyone been doing lately? It's becoming tougher and tougher each week, not for the temptation to eat but for the pounds loss.

I am with you there a 100%


My weigh in was today, and sad to say no good results. No gain but no loss either. I am bummed out by it and seriously considered giving up. If you look at my trend, there are just too many no loss weeks for me to keep my motivation going. And I don't ever fall off the wagon, so I don't understand why one week is so different than the others.
Ok, so I need to post a positive thing right!!
So, I wish for everybody's weigh in tomorrow to be a lot more successful than mine!! :)
