Weight-Loss Falling Off For Fall Challenge!!

This sucks. 170 today. It seems that fall off for fall has turned into gain for fall *sigh*. Last night I was upset about everything and my fiance and I are going to promise eachother we will go for a walk every night no matter what.

And oddly enough, I was telling him how I think I'll join Curves when we move into our new house (which is in a central location and would make going to Curves easier) and just found out today that the local chapter is closing. But oh well, I have my workout dvds and with this walking in our evenings I'm sure to take a reverse soon and start losing pounds. I hope anyway! This is the most I've weighed in my entire life. Trying not to lose hope here.

PS- I also hope everyone else has a better weigh in that me! It'd be inspiring to see other people's results here. I think today I'll check out some profiles and see if there are other women that have dropped 30-40 lbs and try to get some inspiration.
 
Hello all, well I only lost 1 pound this week! :( I am grateful for the loss but sheesh I was enjoying losing atleast 3 lbs. It's crazy, once I started jogging it seems like I am losing less weight. I hope everyone doesn't give up, "you only fail when you stop trying". So let's keep at it. We can do it, ofcourse it's going to take time. I wanted to be 275 by the end of Aug, and I will! Oh by the way, I believe I met my "fall off for fall challenge". So even though the small things don't seem to be going well. the Overall picture shows different! ( well I actually need 1 more pound to go to meet my 25 lbs loss goal for the challenge)

I get on the scales a couple of times a week and so I notice any real change in my weight but this morning I got on and it said 207 :eek: I feel like a big swollen whale today too. I am sure that when I get on the scales tomorrow it will be back down to the 203 it has been all week....at least I hope so:cry:

Hey everyone, This is our last month of the fall off for fall challenge. Let's make it our best month thus far!
 
I am doing miserably compared to my goal!!! :) Anyway, I think my scale needs new batteries, that is why my weight has not changed??? Holding on to threads here!!
Ok, last day of July. August here we come and will do a lot better!!!
 
Since my weight has actually gone up since starting this challenge *gulp* I'm going to readjust my goal. I like Shyjesta's comment about making this our best month thus far- so if I can lose 5 lbs that would be awesome! Let's see if I weigh in at 165 on August 31. *takes another drink of her water*

Shyjesta our own team cheerleader or mascot or whatever you want to call him!!:) And I mean that it a good happy loving sense not a mean or sarcastic one so please don't take it that way!:) I need some that encouragement too!!:( I am going nowhere with this challenge. If I exercise or not seems to make no difference. If I pig out on chips and dip or if I eat all my veggies instead seems to make no difference. I am going to weigh 203 FOREVER:cry:
 
I agree, I trully hate to jog all week and wind up the same weight. Yet I guess one way to look at it would be to say, yeah I may not have lost weight but if I sat down and ate chips and junk food the whole week, that wouldn't be helping the cause. Take it one day at a time, we can do this! We just have to keep at it, because who knows maybe the next week will be our greatest?
 
My weigh in day is today. I think the scale and I have a battle of wills. All week it shows me 165.5 (I even saw 165.0 briefly one morning) and comes weigh in day: 166. I just upped my exercise regime to two times a day on Monday, no results so far but too early to see yet.
Anyway a loss is a loss right? At least I can go and adjust my ticker!!!

ok this week sucked for me weighed in this morning at 204:flame: I am not liking myself right now. All I ask for is to at least hit 202 that would be a nice change.
 
Darn it!! 172.4. I've gained like 7 lbs this month. Very frusterated. I've been quite active- lots and lots of swimming - but I guess not active enough. Calorie counting just doesn't work for me. Grrr. Well, I can't wait until we have our house and I can exercise to my workout dvds and have 100% control over my diet. Plus, I'll be walking to work every day.
Not to sound like I'm making excuses and pushing my weight loss goals ahead... but it makes it so tough to live in this cabin and not have my own kitchen and an actual livingroom.

Anyway, just frusterated. I want to get really into the calorie counting again, but back when I was doing that I didn't lose any weight. Though I have gained weight since I stopped, but my diet is exactly the same *sigh*.
 
ahhh! I am mad! yesterday I weighed in at 278 and today I weighed in at 280?? Hmm I did eat some KFC but wow 2 pounds? sheesh I hope it's water or something, because that is brutal either way

It's official I have met my Fall off for fall challenge!

My goal was 25 pounds and I have lost 26! ehh should of been 28 but i'll still take it!

I am so proud of you! I wish I could say the same thing about my own goals but I will get there soon hopefully!!

Shyjesta congrats on reaching this goal already. You have done amazing. And there are still four more weigh ins, you should be so proud of yourself.

I have been unfocused for the last two weeks. Was sick for multiple days with a UTI, then the HP book and some overtime. Then reclaiming the house with all the kids and pets......finally calming down a bit.

Four days in the last 1.5 weeks I have at least got some walking in. Also have done a bit of jogging. This is real slow starting. The track behind my house is 1/6 a mile. The goal now is to complete one full lap jogging and then walk/jog half a lap each the rest of the mile. I want to be able to jog a mile by the end of October. The funny thing is that my body wants to jog after a few miles of walking and is getting more accustomed to the exercise. This is nice since I hate the elliptical machine. My goal is 166 for Fridays weigh in, TOM bloating if finally gone and was 167.5 today.
 
One of the best things you can do is to set goals! When you write down your goals, your much more likely to achieve those goals. I agree with taking small steps, one day you will look back and say "wow I took a lot of steps"

Remember each time you fail you get one step closer to success! 4 more weigh-ins, alot can happen and I wish everyone the greatest success! We can do this!
