Dry & Eric: The Green Mile

If you lost 3 I would call you a p***y for not losing 4, its a lose - lose, until you reach your goal, so hurry it up or you'll get shelacked until the day comes.

Did you get to the gym yesterday? What'd ya do?

Yesterday's workout was glorious. I enjoyed it way more than I expected to.

I did my FBW1 and followed it pretty well. I modified it a bit by doing 2 supersets with 3 exercises each. I felt great, was soaked with sweat and determination. I did a small 5 min HIIT session on the rowing machine (killer) and a 30 min random mountain program on the bike, about 8KM with an average of 15MPH...it was great...I felt like complete dynamite afterwards.

This workout was the best I have ever had to date...

I will be doing these workouts every 2 days from now on, so...one day in and one out...no exceptions.

If I can't make it to the gym for some reason, I will do my usual home DB routine with some cardio, possibly with my DDR pads or something....

I did not keep track of the weights used yesterday but I kept myself in the 8-10 rep range with last reps inducing near-failure.

My nutritional menu isn't even done yet...and I haven't even started. I am losing weight consistently at the moment...I wonder what the results will be if I do indeed take the time to REALLY work on my diet.

I haven't studied in a week. :azzangel:

Tonight I will put the same amount of time I put into the gym yesterday into my studies (1:30-1:45).

This will be my goal...studying every day is not something I want to do with 45-50 hours of work per week.

I didn't bother checking my weight this morning...My 34" jeans are starting to feel hollow. I never thought I'd be wearing jeans this small to begin with...now they are getting too big for me, hehe.

Good day

Eric

Awsome post man, the studies are just as important. Perhaps you can record yourself speaking the important points of your studies and play it on a loop on your ipod while working out, drilling it into your head AND getting your workout. But no matter, great workout.

Today I set a personal best with the leg press, hitting 5 reps at 540lbs. I'm feeling it now pretty good. Also set a personal best in calf raises at 8 reps at 630lbs. but I really have trouble with them, my calves are very small and disproportionate...

I am hopefully going to make it both Saturday & Sunday this week, which will put me at my 4 days / week that I aim for since I skipped both Monday and Wednesday...

Hey Eric DDR is a very fun way to incorporate cardio... one of these days I'm going to give my best shot at that Burpee Challenge in the challenges section... I am happy with the moves the Yankees have made, I think we've got a legit shot...

Awesome idea, I actually want to ask the people at ISSA to see if they have some recordings to do just that, if not I will do what you said...it's a very good way to REALLY make my workouts efficient.

My legs haven't gotten used to lunges yet, still very sore and won't be working them tonight.

Taking a day off then?

P***Y!

Get in there and work something else, sore legs or not, your body needs to be used, or else you will deteriorate and fall back into your old self at a weight you're unhappy with!
At least go use that cardio rower for 15 minutes to break a sweat.

Get moving!

No.

I told you - I will never skip.

I'm just not doing legs tonight. I will do the rest with the same badassery of kickassness of intensity I always give out.

The rest of my body is totally and completely used to working out now, no soreness at all in the next days - just the legs. One more week, I'm guessing, and my legs will be used to working out like this.

Quick note:
My waiting time for my ankle operation is now 14 months. I was told it is an average of 12 months. I am getting anxious, I want this stupid ankle fixed. I can't trust it worth ****. If I am ever going to run or skip rope I'm going to have to get this done soon...I might look into it and find an athletic ankle support for now...stupid thing.

I have yet to find what caused this old injury - I have a slight remembrance of a very sharp pain in one of my ankles when I was sprinting in high school...that might be it...or maybe it's when I jumped down the 20ft high house when I played hide and seek with my cousin...or maybe god punished me while I was in my sleep (damn him).

You gained 2 pounds, I lost 2.

Nice work :D

As I am losing weight I just noticed something: My left side of my upper body is smaller than my right side. I will be correcting this by remaining in the 8-10 rep range for my left side and going into 15+ reps for my right side. This will allow my left side to catch up. I will keep doing this until I am convinced that both sides are equal.

It's hard to notice just by taking a quick peek but if I look at it in the mirror and compare lifting capabilities, the imbalance is pretty obvious. I wonder why my right side is stronger...

Ah, I have the same issue, except my right arm is bigger and my left pec is bigger. My guess is whenever i've moved things in my life i focused the weight on my right bicep and left pec, for balancing purposes. I'm ok with the imbalance tho, as it isn't noticable except when I flex, and I try not to do such childish things.

I will happily take a lb of muscle gain for every lb of fat you lose...

I got in three times last week, 2 uppers, 1 lower. This week I'm aiming at getting in four times, since I am now settled into my new apartment, and without a roommate who nags me to hang out, things should be a lot easier.

Here is a question I pose... I do three sets of max chinups. The first and second week I was able to do 24, this past week I was able to do 23. I thought I was getting stronger, however this would appear otherwise, unless its possible that the few pounds I've gained (2 or 3 lbs) over 20+ reps is wearing me out faster? Anybody with insight?

Have you guys ever heard of some women have a disproportionately larger boob than the other? This was new to me...

Good stuff in here, keep it up dudes.

155 bench press, 50 lb db press, 35 lb db fly, 50 lb cable fly, 125 lb barbell row, 20 lb db power cleans, 75 lb db shrugs, 35 lb db curls

3 sets working up to these weights, 8 reps per set.

I really wish I had a spotter, my bench press would be a lot more comfortable and heavier.

Normal leg day today, put in some good reps on the abs too. Don't know the details but know it was a good day.

Weight is up at 163. I'm starting to lose definition in my abs when I flex them, getting me scared to have to cut again. I suppose cutting 15 lbs will be easier than 35 when the proper time comes....

Eric? You out there? You lost another lb yet? Cuz I gained one...
