I’ve noticed that for me it’s the eating that drives the weight loss and exercise is a nice complement but not needed.
:iagree: Exercise just makes you feel better about everything.
Well done, Pam! You are doing so well. :)

... Still can’t actually believe I dropped under 200! I feel great. :)
This is so good! Bask in that victory, amiga! :)
And enjoy the exercise, too, because it all does help - I'm enjoying a long walk-and-explore kind of exercise myself, today. And saying that, I'd better get on with it! Have a great weekend, and I look forward to hearing the next update - down through the 190s! :seeya:

Oh, down through the nineties indeed! Look at you, getting close to the 180s - and look at you in the pictures! - that is such a major difference. Really great going, Pam! :hurray:

Hope you don't mind the intrusion, but this really clearly shows the difference. Don't think I have to date the photos, the progression is pretty clear.

Yes! 34 pounds so far — the numbers are starting to add up and the pics are starting to show it. Can’t wait to see what another 3 or 6 months will bring! Thanks for the encouragement!

Well, I sort of fell off the wagon. Getting used to a work schedule and my workouts kind of fell by the wayside. Then, there’s been the problem of the donuts. I put them out fresh every morning and they call to me. My diet has been atrocious.

Luckily I haven’t managed to gain any weight, and yesterday I was back on board full keto. I’m so proud of myself for losing the first 30 lbs — this has been huge for me — and now I’m poised to watch the next 30 go. This is going to be fun ... I’m really psyched. So I need to recommit one day at a time to eating properly, and find a solution for regular exercise over the winter. Nate and I decided on a treadmill, and it’s getting delivered on Thursday. This will be great for him too because he hasn’t had regular exercise beyond gym class since the summer. So we are excited for that.

thanks for checking in! I hope to post some new numbers sooner than later, I’m at 198.4 this morning.

Glad you're still with us and ready to rumble!
Definitely still ready to rumble! I’m looking at it as taking a bit of a breather. I haven’t lost a pound in a month and it’s probably been good for my metabolism, though most days I’ve been in range. It’s been good to reflect on what went wrong and what went right. And the weight loss is addicting — having the first 30 lbs gone feels huge to me. I think I’m ready for the next 30 lbs, and perhaps I’ll pause and reflect at that point too before the final leg of this journey. It’s all been good!

Hey Davis, good to hear from you, and that you are "ready to rumble" as LaMa put it, great line.

Letting your donut fling go and focusing on eating right today is the thing to do. The treadmill sounds like a good idea, and great to here that Nate's still with you on the exercise thing. Are you still going to the gym?

That next 30 lbs will be gone, no doubt!

Absolutely agreeing that the pause-and-reflect time is probably good for the metabolism, and (my fervent hope) for the skin to shrink a bit, to adjust to there being less filling inside! Cheers for the next thirty pounds! :)

Hey Davis, I see that you looked at the forum today, so I am pretty sure you ain't dead yet. Let us know what's going on, bad and/or good.

Hey Davis, its been a while, how goes the rumbling?

I miss seeing your posts, it would be good to hear from you. Hope all is well.
Hi Rob it has been a while! Slow but steady — hoping to have new pics to post in the next couple weeks. I am coming in at 187 today and I’ll post new pics at 183 ... hopefully sooner than later! These last ten pounds really made a difference, and I’m down 40 overall and boy can I feel it. Psyched for the next 40!

Hey Davis, good to hear from you, thanks!

That's great news!! And doesn't sound all the slow to me, 40 lbs down is a big deal. I'll bet you do feel better.

What have you been doing diet wise?

Looking forward to the new pictures.
