Well y’all, I didn’t jump straight back on the wagon. I’ve really struggled with binge eating. Here’s what happened:
What’s one to do? Got a major source of inspiration over the past month from my sister Sandy — she started the keto diet with me. With us feeding off each other’s inspiration, we were able to lose 23 lbs combined our first month together. It wasn’t easy. The first couple weeks my cravings were out of control. Now I’ve kind of hit my stride, and I’m used to waiting until mealtimes to eat and my cravings are more easily controlled.
This time, my goals are a bit loftier. I’d like to lose more weight then I did the first time. And I’d like to keep it off. The Healthy Wage challenge really helped — I went down to 171 before “winning” led to “taking a break”. At that time, they offered a “Keep it off” challenge that let you win $ by just keeping it off, and in hindsight that would have been great for me.
HealthyWage was gracious enough to allow me to sign up for another challenge even though I’d already lost and regained the weight. Here’s where I’m at:
They DO payout when you lose the weight! If anyone would like to try their own challenge, please USE MY LINK: Paid Link Removed and they will boost both our prizes by $40. I am on a very low income, so this cash is a motivator for me.
So when I hit my goal of 144 and win my challenge, and I’m confident I will , I am now acutely aware that my “diet” is not going to change. I remind myself every day that the way I am eating right now is the way I’ll always eat. And I feel good about that.
Take care everyone and thanks for reading!
