Wow, I hit 183.8 just in time for the holidays! This was a little short term goal for me and I’m happy I did it, although a bit surprised too. This means that new pics are coming soon!

I’ve been pretty faithful with keto at about 1200 calories a day. Unfortunately I have been going to the gym rarely, preferring to stay home and use my treadmill. I keep the treadmill at a fairly significant incline so it’s really worked on my lower body. I’ve also been working out with a kettlebell and I’ve discovered a move with it that really works on my abdominals.

Hi Rob — got busy and haven’t made it to the gym yet to take fresh pics. Soon, I promise! The weather has been nightmarish here, quite a few snowstorms and I am already ready for spring haha. I hate the winter.

I can absolutely relate to that, I could do spring right now. I suspect your snowstorms have more snow than ours, but its all kind of the same, cold.

Finally made it to the gym. Had a nice soak in the hot tub and took this pic:

Starting to have a lot of loose skin and that will get worse before it gets better. But I’m hopeful that over time, it’ll get better. Thanks everyone for tuning in.
 
Oh also found this pic — this is at my heaviest — 245 back in May of 2018 and that is the same bathing suit, although now faded quite a bit:

Thanks Cate and Rob! My goal was for 100 lbs from my official start at 227. I think that’s too much, but I’d love to get down to 150 and see where I’m at.
 
Hi everyone — hope you are all well and staying safe. I’ve hit a major challenge here in my weight loss journey, so I want to share it and begin regular updates in the hope I can get back on track.

After hitting a low of 173 at the beginning of March, my mental health was suffering and I had to start a bunch of new medications. I am doing so much better with the new meds, but unfortunately my appetite has been out of control. Between that and eating the “standard American diet” instead of keto — it was just easier than keto what with food uncertainties — my weight this morning comes in at 190.6. How does one gain almost a pound a day? I don’t know, but I’m putting a stop to it now before it gets worse.

Today is my first day back on keto and intermittent fasting. My strategy is a higher protein/very low carb diet combined with eating only between 12 pm and 6 pm. I will also begin tracking everything in MyFitnessPal again. I hope to start seeing some weight drop off again soon. Here is my plan for the day:

How does one gain almost a pound a day?
A lot of it is probably water that will come off once you get back on the diet. Don't worry too much about it.

Now that's what matters! Good for you.

Are you able to do anything for exercise in this day of the virus?
