It sounds like an excellent day Cory. Things are starting to really click. Dance classes are great.

Seems like it, Cate. I'll be honest, getting back on the wagon this time has seemed more difficult that it usually is when I slip up for a bit. I think I'm getting back in the swing of things though.

I don't have it in me to read through your entire diary, but I have looked through the last few pages and I just wanted to say that you're doing great. Getting back on the wagon is often one of the hardest things to do, but the fact that you're willing to get back on despite the setbacks speaks volumes about your dedication and resolve. It's a road trip, not a race, and it's okay to take detours so long as you find your way back to the main road. :)

Unstoppable: I don't blame you for not reading the whole thing. It's pretty much just 5 years of my ups and downs. I appreciate the encouragement!
Lama: I think trying new workouts with friends is the best. :p Actually, it's kind of nice. Since I moved, I've made a lot of friends who are pretty invested in fitness and actually like the idea of spending time together that doesn't revolve around food.

Yesterday was a struggle. I pretty much felt like binging from the moment I got up. That feeling stayed with me the entire day. The worst part was that there's this restaurant close to my job that offers a nacho bar during happy hour. Not a cheap one either. It has good toppings and everything. I thought about hitting up that restaurant literally all day. Just going there and eating 2,000 calories worth of nachos and enchiladas instead of my planned food. Miraculously, I made myself go home. It didn't help that I didn't have anything active to do. No dance and I'm taking a hiatus from lifting for another week or so. I've noticed that I tend to be less bingey if I know I'm going to the gym that day for some reason. I went to bed in a pretty good mood though because I was so happy that I actually maintained my plan (for the most part). I conceded on eating a little extra spaghetti and some strawberries. I'd say an extra 200 calories is better than an extra 1500+ calories.

Food:
Breakfast: chia pudding - 257 calories
Lunch: veggie curry and basmati rice - 679 calories
Dinner: spaghetti - 799 calories
Snacks: strawberries - 64 calories
Total: 1799 calories

It's really hard to fight off cravings so you did a super job. I've heard that each time you fight off a craving it gets easier next time.

Been a busy few days, guys. The Highland Games was fun, although I came in last place and wound up sore, bruised, and sunburnt. Really exhausting. We started at 8:30 in the morning and didn't get done until 6:30 at night. Then of course there's an after party. I spent most of Sunday sleeping and trying to do a few chores. Food on Saturday was kind of a train wreck. I think I clocked it around 4000 calories, but I'm not going to let it bother me because it was a pretty active day and fun time spent with friends. Sunday was more reasonable at 1718 calories.

Yesterday was REALLY good. Went and did M's dance class followed by another class done by two girls, C and T. They tend to do more hip hop type stuff. I don't know if people are just happy because the weather is turning nicer or what, but folks were feeling slutty and the energy was just fantastic. Made for a really enjoyable two hours. Best classes I've had in a while.

Food yesterday:
Breakfast: skipped
Lunch: Indian buffet - 1620 calories
Dinner: Sugar snap peas, grape tomatoes, pickle, ranch dressing, and strawberries - 294 calories
Snack: chocolate ice cream - 190 calories
Total: 2104 calories

Exercise:
2 hours dance fitness

Still soda free! I think yesterday made 78 days.

I'm still here! Just been really busy. In summary, last week's food was kind of mediocre. On average, I ate more than I generally do, but I somehow still managed to lose a pound. I'll try to be around more this week.

Checking back in, FINALLY! I've missed this place. Things have been nuts for the last month, both at work and in my personal life, but not in a bad way. I'm finally starting to make real progress with moving into and training for a new position at work that I am incredibly excited for. Unfortunately, it means that I have to still get all my regular work done while they work to hire someone to take my old spot AND also accommodate the training for the new job. Been getting a lot of stuff done at the house too. Lots of folks coming out to give me estimates on getting a heat pump installed, some general maintenance, having some brush cleared out, and having a big dirt pile filled with stumps, rocks, broken glass, and bees removed from the property.

Haven't made much progress on the weight front, but I haven't backslid either. Things are starting to calm back down a bit and I'm ready to get back on this horse with a vengeance. Hope everyone is well!

Thank you Lama!

Forgot to mention that I'm still soda free. I've lost count of the days, but I have to be up over 100 at this point.
