Cool! I've always wanted to do a high altitude balloon. Are you going to use a video camera so you can post it online for us??

Coolness. I watched Felix Baumgartner skydive from up that high (just under 120,000 feet IIRC) and it was kinda cool.

Some nifty stuff you're doing.

Your 14 days no soda has inspired me. I will try to part with it tomorrow as I've already had some today. I drink almost entirely diet, but it still stimulates the appetite and increases cravings for refined carbohydrates. Not to mention it's chemical garbage that does none of your body any favors. Thanks and keep it up!

Don, we'll have a camera on it taking pictures at some time interaval (probably every three seconds). If we get the camera back, I'll try to make a time lapse video.

Mr. Vee, this is probably my favorite picture of 2012. Look at that gorgeous conical shock wave! /nerdgasm

Quercus, I wish you luck! It's difficult for the first week, but then you don't think about it as much.

---------------------------

So, it's snowing. In April. It means my fitness classes are cancelled. I'm not sure what I'm going to do tonight for exercise. I certainly can't go on a hike or a walk and my apartment is really small and on the 3rd floor (so no jumping). I might just take a rest day. I hate that because it'll be the second one I've had this week, but I did two classes yesterday and I'm definitely feeling them. I hate not to get the exercise points for the challenge though.

I've done well with food today. I had cornflakes and grapes for breakfast, leftover spaghetti squash with asparagus and half a chicken breast for lunch, and for dinner I'm going to have leftover Mexian lasagna and a salad. My brother bought me a cherry cheesecake milkshake. I didn't really want the calories, but it was really nice of him to get it for me. Plus, it was delicious.

I didn't say anything about it yesterday, but I'm soda free for 2 weeks now.

Congrats on being soda free for 2 weeks! That is a big accomplishment. Hopefully it is getting easier and easier to live without it?

Sorry about the weather...:( I am praying for no more snow around here...ha. You could always try doing something with less intensity/noise (I feel your burden, I live on the 2nd floor of my building)...like stretching or yoga/pilates. I've never done this but I imagine Youtube might have yoga workouts to follow along to. Just a thought! That way you can still rest from the intense classes yesterday, yet still get some exercise in :)

Hope the rest of your day is great!

I thought about yoga or pilates, Camila, but I did both of those for about 3 hours yesterday. I'd really like to give those muscles a break. :p Yoga makes my wrists sore because I'm so heavy, so I try to leave a few days between those.

That shot of Felix makes him look like a mach 2 ballerina.

You could walk up and down the 3 floors of stairs or combine that with stretching and body weight exercises that are quiet like squats wall pushups etc.

Don, we'll have a camera on it taking pictures at some time interaval (probably every three seconds). If we get the camera back, I'll try to make a time lapse video.

That'll be cool, Cory. I hope you get it back.

I really think this photo should be become your avatar, depicting your weight as it plunges downward. :)

Hey, rest day for me too! Snow? Still? I m pretty sure spring has been canceled this year...

I live in a tiny apartment too - 2nd floor - the only thing I can do without jumping is body sculpting - pretty stationary - but yoga/pilates sound cool too.

Ok, so I managed to make myself do some body weight stuff. Squats, push ups, etc. It is SO HARD to make myself exercise outside of the classes I take. I don't know why.

Hey Cory!

Great job doing the workout at home!! I know it is hard, I think it's because there isn't anyone there but you,...if you get to the gym even if you are not feeling it you see the other working out make you want to join in! Plus no couch in the gym lol! I do all my workouts from home, and it was easier when I could go to the gym! I always keep free weight and resistance bands around when I have a 5 min here and there I use em mostly the resistance band free weight and little kids feet bad mix!!! Keep going you are doing so great!

Good job on working out at home! I feel ya. It's so much more motivating to be led in class or as others have mentioned observing other people at the gym working hard and motivating you to join in! Even when I lived at home with my sisters and we would do an exercise tape together it helps. Power in numbers!

I know what you mean....working out at home just isn't the same. But hey, you got it done so feel great about that :)

Have a great weekend!

I couldnt agree more... classes are so motivating ... I find it hard to do my hour of exercise every day.
Well done!!

Happy weigh in tomorrow! :)

Hey Cory, just catching up on some diaries. You are doing fab with the no soda - well done! LUUUUUUV the pic you posted, really exciting project!

Lost a pound this week. I can be happy with that. At first I was disappointed, but a pound is a reasonable amount to lose. Now that I've been doing it for a few weeks, I probably shouldn't expect those huge 5 or 6 pound losses every week.

Some weeks it will be a pound, some weeks three or four. Unfortunately some weeks it will be none. The overall trend is obviously what's important. Keep up the good work.

A pound is a pound Cory. Its a loss - take it, you are heading in the right direction. You are doing fab hun.

Cory - we seem to be losing the same amounts...first week 3lbs, this week 1lb...
slowly but surely it's going down.

I hope you have a great week!
