well, I havent been on here for awhile, so much happening. I've decided to redo cohens, with a new contract. I find it too hard not having blood tests and consultations. That's what helps me to be strict, knowing I'll be answerable to these people, and being monitored. It's pretty hard trying to do it without that believe it or not. It's great seeing so many newbies starting out. All the best to all of you. Hang in there, and dont look back.

Thanks for the info!!

Thanks for that about the biscuits! I like salada's better too! I wonder if we can have wholemeal??

Ahhh that great feeling when the scales only have 2 digits!!! The last time I was in double figures was when I was 18-19 I think, I'm turning 30 next year! I'm loving Cohen's, The journey sometimes trying but the results are great!
Good on you guys who only weigh every week or month. Me, I'm weighing everyday, and sometimes it gets very discouraging when they stay the same. I've tried to do it weekly, but that lasted a night. Oh well! I love it when one day your 1kg heavier then the next its gone!

All the best for a great week - Those of you in WA with kids all the strength to you on the school holidays!!

Mitmary:)

Ready to loose

Wow: Ready to loose great photos. Congratulations on the new shape. I think you should rename yourself All ready lost !!! Good Luck with the last bit and look forward to hearing about refeed.:)
Salada biscuits. How different are the salada and salada lites in nutritional value. It seems strange we can have either.

Just a quick check in!

LOVED the photos!! Before and Afters really help. I'm a visual person so seeing is believing!

This weekend was my first time struggling - my family cooked broccolli and I LOVE broccolli (I know I'm weird) so I broke down and ate one bite of broccolli - stopping eating wasn't easy. I could have gone for a whole bowl.
Veggies have always been a weakness of mine. Believe it or not - one of my hardest struggles on Cohen's is limiting the veggies.

Speaking of veggies - anyone know what a hubbard squash is or looks like. It's on my list but I am not familiar with it. I would like to try it - but I haven't been able to find one. Is it a winter or a summer variety?

Am experimenting with different types of mushrooms and tomatoes. Finding some ones that have interesting flavors. Having limited ingredients is helping me get creative! it's a lot of fun! And I am seing myself shrink before my very eyes. Life doesn't get better than this!

Loving every minute of Cohen's!
Momma Pajama

P.S. Can't wait until I have a before and after picture!!! The last program I went on - I took a before picture then 3 months later took my after picture - and I couldn't tell which was which!! Looking for a better result this time!!

Hubbard Sqaush

Hey Pajama Mama - did a search on hubbard squash and this is what came up with:

HUBBARD SQUASH
Hubbard is a tear-shaped squash comes in several varieties: green (true), golden, blue, and baby blue. It ranges from dark green to orange and weighs from 5 to 50 pounds. Because of its size, hubbard’s popularity has decreased over the years. However, pre-cut portions of green and orange hubbard can be found in markets. Green hubbards are thick, sweet, and dry. Golden hubbards—a smaller squash than the green or blue—are fairly sweet, but have a bitter aftertaste.

Also found that it was a "cheap" replacement for pumpkin stating that it was a winter squash.

I looked for it in the store this weekend and could not find it - guess we will have to wait a few more months to see if they have it here since it sure is not WINTER right now.

Been enjoying reading all the posts, went away for a couple of days to celebrate our anniversary.

Getting into the eating pattern now so looking forward to weighing in later. I'm usually a daily weigher so I've decided to weigh weekly for now.

Will work on getting my ticker in my signature soon.

Well it is happy day for me! GW2 done 104.5KG has been broken, I am the lightest I have been in 10 years and past the "failure point" for previous diets!

For recently the cm's/inches have been dropping off my waist line, the belt is really too long now (44in belt), I have it on the lowest notch now, a notch that has never been used and I have owned the belt 10 years.

Strange at the start of the program my face and neck, legs, even fingers all got smaller, but my "spare tire" (tummy) didnt lose that much at the start, but now every week another notch in the belt.

There has been some "frank and open" discussion at my house about broccolli and my "refusal" to eat it, "How can you possibilly be allowed to drink diet coke and eat steak but cannot eat broccolli?".

Whilst I wouldnt say deviation is OK, my basic feeling is that a bit of broccolli is not going to impact the diet terribly much, a bit of broccolli is not the same as a X-large portion of french fries  , whilst both are deviations they probably are not in the same ball park in effect to the ongoing weight loss. Broccolli is on the refeeding documents and french fries are NOT! :)

My wife's grandparents and her parents as children experienced true starvation (after the war) so it is very very much entrenched to my wife as a child that you should never waste food, so me cutting a tiny bit of meat off a steak or triming away some fish away when there is nobody to eat it (ie triming 5grams off a 135gram steak to 130grams when it is just over the allowance) has caused tears in the house; "if you dont eat it all then buy under your stupid allowance". My response is that I was killing myself with too much food and I need to eat exactly my allowance so I cannot just purchase smaller amounts, but it just doesnt work.

Lessfatty Congratulations on surpassing the "Failure Point"! Well done! I can relate to where you're coming from with your wife's comments about the xtra 5 grams.... i was brought up with a dutch household who had also been through the war, and it was expected that you eat every thing on your plate, then the sign of respect (to the cook)was to have seconds..thirds....! When i weigh my veges and i have to shave off 5-6 grams i feel a bit wastefull, but i give it to the horses and they think it's a great treat!
8-2much haven't seen you on here for a while.. did "things" get back to normal & is all o.k??
Chelsea Your "deep & Meaningful" was great, inspiring and so true.
Momma Pajama you make me proud... i don't know you at all, but i can get a real sense of who you are and how you are travelling on your Cohen's trip... you go girl!
i am on my third day in, am not too hungry, although i definately know when it's meal time! i also find i feel a bit nauseas after eating.
This morning i couldn't help but notice that my watch has become really loose so i'll have to get some links removed, which is pretty cool.
Big Positive Happy Weight Loss Thoughts!

Hi all, I have not been on the forum for ages and have let slip a little with Cohens.
I have been so hungry that I could eat everything and anything. I don't really know why I've been so hungry so I'm putting it down to missing my husband, who has been away for three weeks and gets back on Saturday, I think I may be an emotional eater!
Anyway, I haven't been too bad, just not perfect! I have been stuck on 79 kilos for two weeks and I think that is getting me down a bit aswell.
I really want to lose another 10 kilos before Christmas, 15 kilos would be ideal but I'll be happy with 10.
Hopefully when my husband comes home I can get right back into it.
I haven't really read back through all the posts so I hope you are all doing well!

Princess Oz!!!!!!!!

I have been WAITING for you to come back on to see how you are going?

And after what you have just said.. well im very happy to let you know that we are now EXACTLY in the same boat!

I have been stuck on 79kg's aswell for the past 1.5 -2 weeks and it is really not good..

I fell off the wagon last week... i had an Uncle Tony's Kabab, a 30g Kitkat, 3 Jatz with Sweet Chillie Phillie dip.. and a corn chip (just one hehe) and i skipped 3 meals as im just not hungry on weekends!

Now.. this has me thinking..

This is why i have been stuck at 79kg's... STUPID ME! Shouldnt have deviated and by now i could be at 78 or 77?..

Anyways, thats water under the bridge, im back on the road to size 12 :)

I am also hoping to have lost my last 15kg's by xmas.. now xmas is 12 weeks away.. so fingers crossed!

WE WILL DO IT PRINCESSOZ, we have eachother & this forum to help us!

Please email me anytime you are having trouble!!! xx

Bam

Hello Bam, I have missed you!!!!!

I really believe this forum keeps me on track.

You made me laugh with what you have eaten. I too have needed the odd chocolate and I hate to admit it, seeing as we are all on Cohens, but the pink Tim Tams are an absolute delight, they are DEVINE!!!! My kids wanted to try them so of course I had to have one aswell, I could have devoured the whole packet, mmmmmmmmmmmm. Sadly, I won't be buying anymore Pink Tim Tams, I'll do my bit for Breast Cancer research by way of cash donation in future.
I also had a small amount of KFC, very bad I know. But, did not put on any weight, just have not lost.
I need to get moving again because I am becoming very disheartened by it all.

SO GOOD TO HEAR FROM YOU. We must MSN again soon

BAM & Princessoz

Hey!! I think we are of the same weight trying to lose the same amount of weight... Well i stop at 79-80kg for nearly 2-3weeks.. although I have no deviations... but well.. I have got over it.. and I am very sure you ladies will get over this mark very soon.... All of us have this forum to support!!!

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all well. Congratulations to those of you who have had the opportunity to move the ticker. Way to go!

I have been lying low for the last few days as I have had Dr's appointments etc. Not to mention my heart in my mouth regarding pregnancy. But I am not pregnant. For me that is a good thing. Four under four would possibly do my head in! That said - I LOVE my babies! I have been triple blessed already. And I would not have been overly upset if I was pregga's but I had just got my head around the idea of getting my body back. So, onward and upward.
Just to let you know though, my Dr did say that weight loss of more than 1.5 kilos a week can cause a disruption to the 'cycle' so to be very careful! Things usually sort themselves out eventually. (Unless you have an eating disorder where upon you need to see a Dr.) Thanks for asking after me.

Lessfatty - congratulations on such a significant achievement. It's great to know your hard work has paid off. Well done to you.

Chelsea - thanks for the motivational talk. Never NOT needed on the forum!

Hope all the Newbies are coping alright. Just a bit of inspiration...I was racing out for an appointment the other day and thought I didn't have anything to wear until I remembered a pair of black pants that I haven't been able to fit into for over 18 months and low and behold THEY FIT!!!! Keep going and you'll be in your old clothes before you know it.

Have a great afternoon.
