Club 200 Plus

Hi all

Welcome newbies. I can't believe how this forum has exploded it seems over night. We had over 500kms to travel and now we are almost half way to Banff. It's great to see everyone out there becoming more active.

Aside from the challenge we are here to support eachother so we can get out of the 200+ club.

I just want to put this question out there for who ever wishes to reply. What has been your biggest challenge this week?

Mine is the fact that I have an out of town guest that I am entertaining and cooking for. We have been walking which is good but drinks and munching on goodies in the evenings have been my challenge this week. Just when things were starting to turn around.....Grrrrrrrr.

Oh well tomorrow is another day!

I've walked 6kms in the last couple of days which leaves us with

344.6kms

challenge

My biggest challenge has been avoiding the scale. I gave in once, but I am determined to leave it alone until the 4th. Still, it is SOOOO tempting! I think I need to send it to work with my husband!

hey guys,

sorry i've been gone for a so long. i've been moping and meeping about stuff. Family life. Financial issues. Health issues. Career issues. The works. But I didn't give up and I never fell off the wagon. Just didn't feel very social lately. Sorry if anyone worried. *hugs to Jenn and Lee for the support while I was away*

Welcome to everyone new. I guess I got alot of reading to catch up on. ^__^;

Biggest challenge for me... was not letting my depression and despair catch up to me and making me forfeit completely.

happy!

C - you're back! I am so HAPPY!!!! I was worried about you. I am so glad you are back, and I hope you are feeling at least a little better. Depression is hard. My prayers are with you!

C - it's good to see you back and posting! I hope this difficult time passes for you, and GOOD for you for sticking to it during it all.

As for challenges for me, it was the BBQ on Saturday, and I'm going out with my girlfriends tonight to celebrate a couple of birthdays.

THAT will be hard ;)

KMS For The Day

8.3 KMS for the day

time 1:04:04

C - Can't be easy, hang in there you have alot of stuff going on. The only thing I can relate to is Financial issues (after all it is all about the money) even though some people won't admit it. Thats hard enough to deal with without your other issues.

Hi everyone! I'm new to this thread and new to the forum as of two days ago. I definitely want to belong to The 200 Plus Club! It looks like this thread has really taken off. What have I missed? Are you going to start a new journey soon? It feels so good to be with friends who are traveling the same road as myself! :)

jump in

Jump on into this journey, Dgilly. Just subtract your km walked from the latest total. :) See you around!

FYI - conversion for miles to km... multiply your miles times 1.6 to get km.

Hi dgillygal,
Welcome to the club! It is nice finding people traveling the same journey as we are!

Last night, I got together with my girlfriends to celebrate one of their birthdays. I was pretty worried ;)

I didn't have any alcohol, did have a pineapple juice and had beef terriayki with fried rice served tapan-yaki style. So I saw how *little* oil was used ;) I ate the vegies first and brought home half the rice and meat!

It was much better then I thought it would be!

I haven't done any 'extra' walking this week though.

Tomorrow I will.

I hope everyone is doing well!

Hi, M2M! Good for you! Birthdays can be so tricky, especially when all of your girlfriends are eating lots. Sounds like you made an excellent choice of meal, though. You go, girl!

Today's not going as well as I'd like. Not good, but not really bad either. I've still got my walking to do, and tomorrow WILL be better. :)

Yesterday I walked 1.5 miles or 2.4 km. I think the total now is 327.5 kms.

KMS for the day

6.4 KMS for the day - time 50:24 I think I'm nuts it was 99 degrees when I ran. It was the only time I could do run today.

Hi Everyone :)

OK, so I made ok choices at the girl friend's birthday, but I had pizza last night (3 slices!) and a hot dog today with mayo AND about 3 sausuage links...

I've had my share of fat grams (and then some) in the last 24 hours!

The good news...

drum roll...

233! I'm down 3 lbs this week!

Troutman, all your kilometers amaze me!
I'm down for 8 kms this week.

Which brings our total to...
305.9

Congratulations, M2M! It's alway great to see the pounds come off.

I didn't do too well last night. Went out for dinner and didn't make a very good choice for my meal. Too much fried food. I have such a hard time when I eat out. Didn't get my walking in either although I did do some weight exercises. Today has been better, though.

Keep up the great work! :)

Hey, M2M! You caught me. We are the same weight now. Okay, nothing like the thrill of the chase. I gotta kick it up a notch! :p

ACK!! The pressure! I didn't even realize how close we were!

I'm just so excited to have more than ONE pound a week come off!

Whenever I'm alone, I start fantacising about where I'll be in 10 pounds, in 20...
I keep visualizing the day my dh actually *notices* that I've lost weight - 24 pounds so far and he still hasn't noticed - maybe by the time I hit 30 ;)

Someone's signature really hit home with me...
"Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels"

I want to feel that - and I think about it every time I put something in my mouth. Sometimes, I say it's 'ok' I do want to eat this, but I'm aware now of the total overall daily intake, so I'll make a healthier choice next time.

I had a hot dog today, those things are riddled with fat - I spent all morning cooking at food stand at my daughter's swim meet today, I also had at least 3 sausage links. In the past I would have eaten a breakfast burrito (huge! eggs, cheese, hashbrowns, 2 types of sausage) in the am and a hot dog or cheeseburger in the afternoon. So I'm making little steps and not feeling deprived ;)

dgillygal, I definitely recommend eating an apple before going out to dinner - that has helped me from 'over eating' even when I make less healthy choices. Having the grapes on the counter for 'snacking' is helping me too.

Also - knowing I'm coming here, to this site, makes me feel connected to a larger group who KNOW what I'm going through.
