Club 200 Plus

Friday

I think I will do Friday. I see my parents most Fridays, and that's a good day for me to either brag a little or get support if I need it. There's also the new FSD - Friday Scale Day club. You can still post Saturday, if you want. That would give you a whole extra day to shake your booty after I show my cards. :) This will be fun!

LOL!

I will take you up on that - having an extra day will make ALLLL the difference ;)

I saw the Friday Scale Club, and decided against it, Saturday is much better for me, since I tend to eat REALLY healthy on Fridays :D

I used to weigh on Friday - but the full weekend ahead, really hurt the progress, then I'd spend the week getting back to where I was on Friday.

It sounds ridiculous, but whatever mind game I can work on myself, I'm taking!

So girl, you're on!

Oh wait, when did you last weigh and get your 233 total? We might have to wait until this Saturday to start if you have two weeks of losing to my one ;)

One week

I weighed one week ago today. I was trying to wait, but couldn't seem to stay away from the scale. I made it 28 days at first, but I don't think I can go that long again without seeing what progress I am making. But I still want to avoid weighing every day because of the self-inflicted emotional abuse. UGH! We do things to ourselves that NOBODY could get by with doing to us. No beatings today, though! :D

OK - so we're good to go :) Your Friday to my Saturday!

As for the abuse, I have to say, the scale works as a guide for me, I don't beat myself up over the little differences, but it does keep me focused.

Thank you!!!

M2M and twinmom,
Thank you so much for the support...seeing the numbers drop and having someone to tell really does help! I'm so glad that you're here giving me the extra motivation I need to keep going!

It sounds like you two have quite the rivalry going...No matter who wins, everyone wins by losing ;) hehe

Good luck to you both!!!

lines84, I'm glad you found the club, it really is nice having a place to come and share :)

It definitely holds me a bit more accountable!

And you're right about whoever wins, so long as we're losers we win!!

I look forward to being where you are now :D

welcome new members. :)

sorry I've been away during the weekend. father's day and all...
Oh. Happy Belated Father's Day to all father's out there!!

Ended making my dad a homemade pop-up card. I had no idea what to give him so I gave him cash and lotto tickets sealed in a Chinese red pocket envelop. I think he liked it. :)

Still at the same weight... 274. Damnit. I think I plateau-ed. Damn.
Welp, least I got some exercise done...

Saturday - 1 km Walk
Sunday - 1.6 km Eliptical
Tuesday - 6.4 km Bike

That's a total of 9 km this weekend. So subtract mine & Troutman's... That's

264.3!!

What are you eating?

I've realized that a lot of my problems in the past, stemmed from skipping breakfast, skipping lunch, snacking all through the dinner cooking process then eating too much, and too late for dinner.

I'm really working at eating something about every two hours throughout the day.

For instance, this morning around 7:30am, I had a yogurt, around 9:30 I had a pria bar, at 11:30 I had some mandrain oranges & an apple at 1:30 I had a small burrito etc.

I'm finding by always eating something, I'm not binging.

What are you guys doing, and what are you eating? I need more ideas :D

M2M, You have to do what works for you. It doesn't matter what we all say. This is what I do 1. calories 1,200 - 1,700 try to keep it at 1,500. 2. Drink only water until noon. 3. No Sugar, which means to me no candy, cake, ice cream that sort of thing. 4. not eating after dinner unless its planned in advance. 4. Run at least every other day. 5. If I blow a meal or a day, I don't try to make up for it by cutting calories with other meals, or beat myself up.

Really very simple. I call it the 2 week diet plan. Which I'm not going to get into.

cereal

I had the same bad habits of skipping breakfast and sometimes lunch, then snacking through the afternoon and evening and eating a way-too-big dinner. Now, I try to eat breakfast every day, and if I start feeling hungry at mid-day, I stop and eat some lunch. I realize now that I was just not taking very good care of myself before.

One thing I have done that helps a lot is I have made my breakfast fun! I have been getting those little single-serving boxes of cereal that come all packed together. The portion size is already measured, the calories are right on the box, and with 1/2 a cup of milk, my breakfast simple and delicious! Sometimes I have had fruit instead, or even small blueberry muffins (about 230 cals apiece from Wal-Mart bakery). But I have been having things for breakfast that I like and look forward to eating in the morning.

I agree, we do need to be eating things we enjoy and look forward to.

I was simply looking for different ideas. I get stuck eating the same things. I was also looking to hear how others are combatting their hunger, ie., for me, it's eating under 100 calories every two hours.

I meant this thread simply as a way for us to share what we're doing. I know we all need to pick and chose what works for us :D

new ideas

I like hearing new ideas. Especially surprisingly yummy snacks that are not loaded with calories. My best 100 calorie find so far has been the ice cream sandwiches from Blue Bell that I eat almost every other day!

Oooo...what is Blue Bell?

I just had my once a week mega sandwich (at least 50 grams of fat) so I'm thinking my snacking for the day needs to be over ;)

I don't count calories, but I do keep an eye on fat content (I'm lazy), so I figure I'll have a salad for dinner around 5ish - it's 1:30 now, and then some fruit around 7ish.

Blue Bell

Blue Bell is an ice cream company. They make these mini ice cream sandwiches - 100 calories apiece - that are about the size of 5 Oreos and really, really good. I love ice cream, and these satisfy my cookie craving AND my ice cream craving!

I'll have to look in to those :) I normally don't buy ice cream, since my husband has NO will power or sense of self control and will eat a half gallon in one sitting, but it might be nice to have on hand for an occasional snack :D

Of course, I'm full right now, so I have TONS of self control!

M2M, Why do women always think it their husband, its all of us men. What can I say.

I'll have to google blue bell ice cream. Hopefuly they will have sugar free. Thanks for the tip. Maybe I could have a whole box ice cream sandwiches, that would be when I'm having self control.
