KMS for the day

This tread is really getting busy, thats great.

Ran 6.4 KMS in 47:55 a new record for me, only by 5 seconds yet it is a record. It was 96 degrees today with a hot wind again, just to keep me warmed up. Ate good today. Just a really good day.

KMS For The Day

Got up early today to run since I was going to be at the office answering phones all day. Left the house at 5:30 AM (I'm Nuts) & it was 78 degrees. I was a very unhappy camper. A lot better than 95 though. By the time I was done it had cooled off to 76.

10.4 KMS in 1:28:05

cant wait till i get small enough to start running. Right now it would be wayyyy too much weight on my knees. So thinking about getting a bike instead.

I Popped The Tire

hillbillylee, A bike is a great idea. When I got my bike out, I popped the tire (Yes My Weight) (How Embarrassing). So I got a heavy duty tube & I popped the tire again. Have not been back on my bike. I was around 300 Lbs. then. When I get to 200 Lbs. I will try again.

Hi, everyone! I haven't been here for a few days, and it looks like this thread has really taken off in popularity. Troutman, you go man! You are really traveling the world! I'm going to use you for inspiration to jumpstart my walking program. :D I've been reading through everyone's posts about new food ideas, especially for breakfast. Breakfast is the one area that I really need to mix it up. I tend to eat the same thing every day, and it gets BORING! I think it's time to go to the grocery store.

I'm down 2.5 pounds for the week!! Woo Hoo! I FINALLY get to update my ticker!

hmmm never really thought about the tire issue. I could get one of those exercise bikes for inside the house but i know i would lose interest after a few days. Ill check into some heavier tires.

I used to do alot of cycling but haven't for years now. I am probably going to wait until I get around 200 pounds before getting a new bike. The tires and the wheels can be an issue if you're really heavy.

Welcome GusGus! :)

Welp, I've decided to jump start my body/metabolism by doing a pretty radical program come Monday. Hopefully, I'll be able to maintain it for 2 months.

In addition, I walked 2 km today. With Trout's man's AMAZING 16.8 km, we're down to.......

214.9 km!!

can you believe it ladies and gentlemen?!? we've crossed a distance of over 360 km already!! GIVE YOURSELVES A PAT ON THE BACK!! :D We're almost there!! :D

Hi Everyone :)
I put in 4 miles (6.4 km) and 2.1 miles (3.5 km) tonight for a total of 6.9 with brings our distance to...

209.0

I also posted this question in my journal but I thought I'd post it here too:
I went for a 2.153 mile walk for 40 minutes, my pedometer says I burned 475.9 calories.

I went to www.fitday.com and entered in my activity as 40 minutes of walking a 3 mph moderate walk and it calculated my calories burned as 124

I have no idea which is correct - does anyone know?

C - I look forward to hearing about your new routine!

GusGus, welcome to the forum :D

hillbilly, I'm with you, I'm looking forward to getting a bike!

dgillygal, I've said it before, but I'll say it again, CONGRATULATIONS on your 2.5 pound loss!

Big Bear, it's nice seeing you post, I look forward to getting to know you :)

Chip, what can I say? You are amazing at running! What an inspiration!

For me, today was my weigh in, and I dropped 3 pounds this week - it feels great, but then I went and had a burger, taco and split a vanilla milk shake at Jack In The Box tonight! I still came in under 1500 calories, but it's sitting like a lead brick in my stomach! I'm glad I don't do fast food much any more!

Hi to everyone
Well its time I actually posted to a forum, first time ever! I've just stepped off the scales to have the dreaded number 100kgs (220lbs) flashing at me. This thread is truly motivational, I am prompted to take action at last! Please bear with me while I learn how to post and add an avatar and signature and those nifty tickerfactory.com 'things'.

Just briefly, I'm a mum of 2 who has been overweight/obese most of my adult life. But no more! I plan to set goals to lose 10% of body weight until I get to goal weight of 60kg (132lbs) . Thanks for being here.

Hey aussiechick :) Welcome to the forum!

I'm sure you'll figure out tickers and avatars and all that stuff in no time :)

It sounds like you have really realistic goals and coming here is a great way to get started!

Hello

Hello, Aussiechick and GusGus!

Here is my distance for yesterday... 4.0km and today... 4.0km

That brings us to

201 km

aussiechick, Welcome. Your goals sound very doable.

M2M, 3 Lbs. awesome. I'd take the 474 calories & go have an Ice Cream.

Will it ever cool off here in Lancaster? It was 79 this morning when I ran at 6:00 AM. The normal low should be around 60 -65 degrees. I just want to SCREAM! I think this is the first summer I've ever been losing weight. So I'm not use to the heat. This was like a day off though I mostly walked my 6.4 KMS. I'm done feeling sorry for my self. I weigh in tomorrow it will be my :( first week this year I have tried:( which is sad to say. I have had a good week & I will be shocked if I don't lose 7 Lbs. I'm hoping for 10 Lbs. It feels great to be on track.

6.4 KMS / Time 59:22

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your welcome. I've been to the gym today, did some cardio. Km's are: -
Treadmill - 3.03km
Bike - 9.00km

Total of 12.03km. Which brings us to 182.57kms ( is that right?)
Good luck with your weigh in Troutman, just remember a loss is a loss whether its 1lb or 10lb :)

Has anyone got any tips on how to avoid eating late at night? Once the kids are in bed I find myself foraging for food in the kitchen:) !

Chip, you'll be in my thoughts tomorrow, I look forward to hearing the big news! I think you're going to be our biggest loser in NO time!

Oooo, maybe we should keep a running track, of how many combined pounds we each lost in June, and then again for July!

AussieChick, what time do you eat dinner, and when do you go to bed? Would a snack of some cheese and an apple help ward off the munchies?

As for me, I walked 2 miles tonight (3.2 kms) which brings us down to:

179.37 KMS!!

Never Eat After Dinner

aussiechick, For just 2 weeks do not eat after dinner. If you do that get back to me.

My wife is 1/2 Aussie.

Chip

A loss is a loss

aussiechick, This week one pound is unacceptable.
