breakfast

I really like those little pre-packaged cereals for breakfast. They are yummy, they come already portioned and with the calorie count right on the box so there is no measuring involved. I know about how much space 1/2 cup of milk takes up in my cereal bowl, so I don't even have to measure that anymore. And, getting to choose from several varieties each morning is a lot of fun for me!

I also like fruit. And occasionally an Eggo waffle with 1 tbsp of peanut butter and some sugar free syrup. The sugar free syrup I have is really runny, though, so I dip the bites of waffle in syrup rather than pouring it all over. Too soggy. :)
 
well, I usually have a bowl of cereal with milk or oatmeal made with milk.
and then some sorta protein like 2 slices of ham or turkey breast or an egg. I'm not a big breakfast person and have only recently started doing it again.
 
Hi and welcome to the site. We are very much the same, I'm 17 as well and I even weigh the same...wierd. lol. Good luck on your weight loss!
 
Welcome to the site! I was reading about the breakfast discussion we've got going on here, and I'd like to offer my two cents (for whatever it's worth!). I read once to have breakfast like a king, lunch like a queen, and dinner like a pauper. That way, you're starting out the day with a big meal and tapering it off towards the evening, when you may not be as active. I'm a big fan of egg whites (17 cals) mixed with cheese and ham, with a piece of toast. Keeps me full for about 4 hours until my 1st break at work. I also read to have "two breakfasts" by having one when you wake up and then something light a little while later in the morning (like a yogurt or some string cheese and an apple).
 
Thanks guys, all your info for breakfast was really helpful. I had some breakfast today, and I felt much better throughout the day at work!
 
Oh, I REALLY like having 1st Breakfast, (generally a yogurt around 6:30-7:00) followed by 2nd Breakfast of eggs, or a protein bar or cereal with fruit around 9:30. 1st lunch around 11:30-12:00 and a second lunch by 2:30 and dinner by 5:30

I think I should have been born a hobbit. I used to go all day with out eating and then PIG out while fixing dinner between 7:00-8:00 then a full dinner around 8:30

breakfast

I normally have a small can of baked beans on 2 pieces multigrain toast with a coffee, just got to have that coffee and a piece of fruit. On the weekends I'll grill a couple pieces of the 97% fat free bacon, tomato slices and mushrooms and have a poached egg with a piece of multigrain toast. This satisfies my craving for a hot breakfast without doing too much damage and works well with the family as Sundays have always been a cooked breakfast morning.

No kms today. Will do a 10km tomorrow!

Well what I have changed in my habbits were not getting as bad and drinking alot of water and lately I have been going swimming every evening after work. Next week I want to start walking. Am not starting this week because am off on vacation the next couple days but I will start working on my exercises.
 
Hi everyone

Kms for today 3km on treadmill, bit of a time management issue today, but at least I squeezed in as much time as possible at the gym. The 'old me' wouldn't have even bothered. I do recognise now that consistency is the key to exerise and my weight loss. I feel great once I've done the workout its just making that initial effort to put the exercise gear on go:)

123.93km - 3km = 120.93

I feel super today. I've been having a great week. I cheated and sneaked a peek at my weight by weighing myself on my bathroom scale. I wasn't supposed to do this til Monday. Now... IF it is indeed true, I've broken my plateau. I'm not really sure yet so I don't wanna say. But whether or not, I've had a good day... Week in fact. And for once I feel in control. With that said, I took a lovely walk today. 2.8 km for me. So we're now down to...

Initial C - great to hear you're feeling great and in control. I hope you've taken a running leap off that plateau:) Isn't it wonderful when you go for a walk when you're feeling fantastic. Everything seems that much brighter. the sky is bluer, the flowers brighter the grass greener......I'd better stop before I burst into song;)

Had a great day eating & exercising. it was 99 degrees when I ran my 4 miles today & I was shocked at a time of 51:05 I think that is really fast for me with it being 99 degrees.

Chip, seriously, running in this heat is CRAZY! I can barely walk to the car in it ;)

I've put in another 4.8 kms since the last time I posted, so with Chip's 6.4 we're down another 11.2 kms bringing our total to:

As of Friday, july 7th this club will be unstickied. There are too many clubs to be stickied and we, as moderators, feel that all clubs should be brought to the top of the page in the traditional manner - posting by its "members". This not only reduces the clutter but puts all clubs on equal footing since no one club is more important than another. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.

Hi guys

I haven't posted in here in a while. I'm glad to see how much progress has been made with the walking. Great stuff guys! Wonderful! Well I hope to be back in here more often. I think I got caught up in all the journals there for a while forgetting about all the other places I could post.

I walked yesterday for 3.5kms. I haven't been walking all that much of late so this is pretty good for me. I am going to go for a walk today as well.

So my total now brings us to

103.43kms

What does unstickied mean?
