Club 200 Plus

Hi all, well...im outside of the 200's but desperately trying to get in....almost there...and then want to work my way right on out of the club...lol
Lots of positive changes have happened lately, i've been really working hard to not binge, and although once in a binge, its difficult for me to get out, I am starting to recognize my triggers and am often able to redirect myself before getting to that stage. That for me is a HUGE acomplishment. So...Im looking forward to attending this club :)
You are almost there! Congrats! We look forward to having you!

It sounds like you've been making a lot of progress, and I'm sure you'll be in here in no time.

Meetings are every Tuesday and Thursday, refreshments are on the table over there, and feel free to bring a friend! ;)

200.0! Seriously?! It couldn't just give me that extra .1 could it haha. I weighed myself at 5 am this morning so I know I would've been under if I weighed myself around 8 or 9 am. I'm looking forward to weighing in on Saturday!!!

Hi everybody, I would like to join this club, even tho I too am right over 200. My name is Emily and I am at 305 lbs. However, about two weeks ago, I was in the 200's. It is very frustrating and I look forward to getting back, and then hopefully, going below 200 eventually =)

Hi Emmy, ive only just tiptoed my way into here *am 305 as well* So... we will both be back in the 200's soon... positive thinking ;) welcome

Awesome job! The hardest part is getting started, it seems like its so far away you'll never get there. Keep at it though, you're already doing great!

I think I'm officially on my way out of this club, I'm gonna stick around for a couple more lbs to make sure I keep it under 200. Hope everyone is doing great!

Lost a couple more pounds - finally!

I started this diet Aug 24 and lost 6-8 pounds in the first month, then hit a plateau at about 223. The strange thing was that I could see that I was getting thinner by the way my clothes fit, but my weight just wasn't budging. In the last 7-10 days I've finally dropped down to 221. :hurray:

I know it doesn't sound like much to you younger dieters, but I'm 60 and my base metabolism has slowed down a lot: I have to really starve myself to lose even a pound a week.

Does anybody else lose weight like this, where you see the change in your body a week or two before it appears on the scale? I really don't understand how that works, but it's my usual pattern. I know i shouldn't be so dependent on that number on the scale, but it is so discouraging to see no change week after week when you're hungry all the time.

I find that I will have two weeks where I won't lose any weight every 2 or 3 months. I think it is because my body tries to hold onto all of the nutrients and starts to rebuild damaged muscle, because it has to do it eventually, so all of my calories go straight into muscle building, because I have lost almost a whole dress size before in one of these fortnights when my weigh hasn't budged at all!

Unfortunately I am in one of those fortnights now, still 214, but I am wearing size 16 leggings and jeggings and size 18 jeans and size 14 tshirts!

I hate being so muscular. :( I know on men, it is a good thing. But I am thought to have PCOS and I get a lot more mens hormones so I find that I 'bulk up' really easily. My calves, not an ounce of fat on them, all muscle but I can't fit into knee high boots. I like that I am a bit more compact than other women my size, but it is quite depressing to be so masculine with how my body forms. :( I don't think the exercise really helps, I may cut down on that and cut my calories.

Hi! I used to post here regularly, once upon a time. I'm still about 240, which is a little heavier than I was when I left (because of teaching-induced insanity), but I'm in a better place and ready to start back up. I'm really happy to see cameraobscura going to onederland because she had barely started when I left. Yay!

This is my first post here. I started out at 309 (wow, was that ever a shock - I hadn't weighed myself in so long, and I was disgusted with myself for how out of hand I let my weight get), and have so far lost 30 pounds and am down to 279. My ideal goal is around 180 (I am tall for a girl at 5'10"), maybe 160 if I'm really lucky.

I have been exercising more and more, and am now able to work out for over an hour every night. I am getting faster and stronger. I am feeling so much more energetic and happy. It's amazing how eating right and working out really do change your entire life. :hurray:

Wow, that's pretty impressive. What kind of work outs are you doing?

I live in a condo, so I go downstairs to the gym every night. I basically do 20 minutes of a fat-burning program on the treadmill alternating between running and fast walking, then I go on the bike, the stepper, the rower, the gazelle, then do abs and weights. I mix it up by doing my pilates videos instead every few days. :)
