Club 200 Plus

I weighed in at 201.8 this morning! Guess the extra working out is paying off after all :willy_nilly: How exciting! I haven't weighed in this low in years.

I also wanted to share a snack tip I recently came across. For those of you who find it hard to eat raw veggies and ranch is too high in calories... get fat free ranch. The kind I got is 30 calories for 2 tablespoons. You then get a packet of hidden valley buttermilk ranch powder and pour it into the bottle and shake it up good. It tastes exactly like full fat ranch and there are NO extra calories from the packet (some brands have like 15 calories for the pack but this one has zero) and it makes veggies delicious!

soo I'm new too this forum and figured I'd join a club! I'm really really just starting out! I'm finally fed up with my weight lol! I'm 5'8 and 260. My biggest struggle is staying motivated, but I'm pretty determined this time! I'm kind of worried about going back to college next week, because I have to eat in the cafe... but I'm sure I'll manage! So heyyy!!

I thought I'd say Hi to everyone in the 200 club. I am currently in this club but I hope to soon be out of it. Been reading alot of this thread, some really great advice and awesome motivation. Glad to be here.

new to club, but hoping it's a short stay :)

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the 200lb club, but I hope to be graduating soon!

I started my journey (for the FINAL time) on March 23, 2009, but I've been sooooo on and off since. The last time I weighed (which was a couple months ago) I was around 227-228. But I'm tooo scared to get back on the scale to see how much I weigh because when I'm not 100% consistent, it makes it that much harder for me to face the scale. Also, I CAN be a scale junky so I'm trying to avoid that too.

I set a 30 day goal for myself (yesterday) to kick my own ass and feel confident enough to weigh. I was able to SQUEEEEEZE myself into some size 14 pants I have in my closet (I couldn't zip it to save my life!), so that let's me know it's possible I may be getting close to 200.

Just need some support so I can keep kicking my butt! :waving:

I've been stuck at 228 for the past 5/6 days. I have been working out harder than ever, I dont understand why i'm not budging. Sooo frustrating.

I came running, sweating, and lifting (and sometimes dragging, kicking and screaming) out of the 300 pound club. I'm around 280 right now, and I want to eventually get under 200 lbs by summer 2010.

So I'll be in the 200 lb club for awhile, but I'm just passing through.

Im also in the 200+ club, I started out at 285lbs now Im at 265lbs... My main goal is 205lbs...:D
So even at 205lbs Ill still be part of the 200+ club but just barely...lol

Hey guys, I'm new here and looking to lose weight :p

I'm 220 pounds atm, and all my life i've been either chubby or fat. I've never ever been obese until a few months ago when I reached 242 pounds! to think that i was around 198 just a year ago depresses me :(

Anyway, i'm looking for tips and stuff, please keep in mind that I don't eat meat (not for dieting reasons, just cant stand the smell/taste)

also for strength training, should I do high volume and lower reps or low volume and higher reps? I already made a thread for this but I never got an answer.

FYI, I barely have any muscle on me.

Hey all. I would like to join the 200 club also. started with my weight bouncing from 228 to 230. Lost a little and now its bouncing from 215 to 217. unfortunatly it hasnt effected my waist line to much. :( The magic 200 mini goal mark couldnt come fast enough.

Hey, welcome y'all. Good luck with your goals!

@Catastrophe, you'll find for maintenance you'll want to go high weight, low reps. Have a look in the stickies, or jump on to Steve's forum (link in his signature), there's a lot of info there.

how are the 220+ peeps doing! time is flying i say. I remember when i joined this club in march! the 300+ club just wasn't for me lol. well i been hanging here for a while, but i don't plan on leaving anytime soon. i'm sitting at a satisfying 240 right now. 40 lbs to go til my initial goal! so i'll be here for a while.

223 as of today so only 24lbs to go til I say goodbye!

This week is flying by and the weights flying off. 2lbs lost this week.

welll...im kind of new to this forum but im not very new to being 200 plus pounds...was hanging around the 270s for a while but now that ive been on a diet ive gotten down to 255 so far and hopefully ill just continue dropping...=)..i wish everyone else that are fighting the good fight the best of luck in their endeavors....

Hey guys, still just under 300 here. I'm curious if any one has any opinion on a juice or water fast? I've read some good things about them and yes I know a lot of people don't think its healthy. But some tips advice or opinions would be appreciated.

I dont' know how much advice on any kind of fast from members here. Most of us are very "eat less move more" orientated. Fasting results are very temporary and can be dangerous.

So I've FINALLY worked up the nerve to get on the scale (on Monday - Labor Day) due to a change in my nutrition plan (needed a marker for results) and I was at 209.00!! 10 more pounds and I'm in Onederland!! Yippy!! I will weigh on tomorrow (Monday, 9/14) to see if I lost any more. I DID overeat today (went to Outback Steakhouse....DON'T ASK ME WHAT I ATE LOL!!) so I hope I didn't do too much damage. We'll see in the morning!

You guys are all so inspirational. =) I've been to a lot of weight loss forums but they always ended up populated with people trying to starve themselves. Not good. :(

So when I stumbled here I was dumbfounded by the sheer amount of people who were, not only losing weight, but doing it the right way. It took a few days to sign up, but here I am.

I've been in the 200's for about two years now, but when I was about 200 even I barely noticed. When I broke past the 200s and somehow got to 240 I was in shock. I actually work with my weight very well, but I've never really and honestly been okay with how much I'd gained. So, I'll spare you all my life story, but now I'm here.

My lowest was 165 and I loved it. I didn't have a flat stomach, and my cellulite wasn't gone but I looked pretty damn good in some well planned clothes. If I had just kept losing that last 25 pounds I wanted I know I likely could've kept it off. But I got too comfortable. D:

I just started my 'diet' a week ago and I've lost six pounds! I don't expect anything like that after the first week or two, but I think since I have such a phenomenal amount to lose I won't be too concerned with it until I've dropped the first twenty, and then after that I plan on losing around 12 lbs a month, 3-ish pounds a week. I just don't want to get discourage. Seeing that 2 everyday can be really depressing. I always told myself I'd get really serious if I reached even 190. Bah, shows how dedicated I was. Lol, sorry for the long post! I'm just so glad to have found these forums!
