Club 200 Plus

20 Miles

Damn dude! 20 miles! That's insane! Keep up the the awesome work!

Honestly once you get on and get going the 20 miles goes by before you even know it. I logged another 20 last night making 80 miles for the week. Time spent on the bike is a little over 4 hours. It's about a 700 calorie burn every time, so that is a pretty awesome boost to my loss.

The original plan was to do that on my days off from strength training, but I have felt like doing more on those days anyway so I figure as long as I can handle it and feel ok, all is well.

I appreciate the kind words though, thank you.

How is your week going?

Hey Guys :seeya:
I joined this forum a few weeks ago and just found this thread today. Hoping it can give me some more motivation and its great to know that we are all here for the same reason :) I currently weigh 218 lbs :(

Oh I can't wait to be at 218. I'm at 233 right now. I'm one pound away from my 2nd mini goal. You'll get there in now time. Good luck to you and everyone on this thread.

Wow, you guys are really chugging along......

FatLazyGuy......congrats on breaking 300! You're going to have to change your nickname pretty soon!

Englangrover.....good luck on your mini goal. I've got one coming up (3lbs away) as well. It's fun to set those little goals and meet them along the way. What do you think for you....next week???

Timmy, You are indeed a madman! I thought I was doing good when I slogged through an hour on my stationary bike, but you.....wow!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Dave

In response to all...

@MicheeH - Welcome to the club! No frowning aloud here, this is a place for motivation and inspiration, so take as much as you can handle. You will do great and soon enough you will move to another club and do great there as well. We are all here to help one another, a support structure. :)

@180ismygoal - 5 days in a row now, 20 miles on the stationary bike has become an absolute ritual for me. I hop on without thinking, and ride until the sweat pours, then some more, until the monitor thing reads 20 miles. It is accompanied with a true sense of accomplishment that I can't describe so I just smile and know I did good. Even friends are telling me I'm crazy now, but they don't see my insanity is just inspiration.

Regardless, I feel this is all in my best interests, like keeping up with everyone on here and helping keep you motivated and borrowing motivation from you. A wonderful give and take relationship we have going on.

Have a great weekend everyone, try to be productive but have some fun too! Cheers!

Dang Timmy, when I first read that you biked 20 miles I thought you meant 20 miles after adding up all the days! Way to go! Stationary bike or no stationary bike, that's still a crazy amount of numbers. Keep up the good work.:hurray:

How's everyone else doing? Hope all of you are doing awesomely and having a great week.

As for myself, I'm on week 3 of that P90X program. I've lost 2 pounds so far. I'm stoked. Although it's a small number, I've been kinda slacking on the food part. I've eaten so many chocolate bars and fast food crap that I know it's hindering my results from the program. :ack2:

However, it's Sunday, so it's a brand new week and I'm going to make sure I get back on the Healthy food bandwagon. I think I'll go to the bookstore and buy a cook book, I'm new at the cooking gig so alot of what I make is edible but not delicious. LoL

GOOD LUCK THIS WEEK EVERYONE!!

I'm having a pretty decent week. Completed Week 1 of C25K. Oh, and now I'm 296.5 lbs!

Hey is C25K that couch potato to 5k runner program? LoL... I wanted to try doing that awhile back. Got me running shoes, an mp3, a stopwatch, but was too scared to start. Running is not my thing.

Good job on completing week 1. Keep up the good work:coolgleamA:

I plan on keeping it up, yesterday made 120 miles on the week and today is technically the last day of the week and will make it 140, and 7 total hours on the stationary bike this week. It has come to a point now where I am pedaling around 18-20 mph on it and sweating my ass off by the end of the ride but feeling wonderful.

Way to go on your progress, keep up the good work yourself! Make another new week count and make it count the right way, down.

@Fat Lazy Guy - Congrats on your loss and continued success, I'm going to check out your blog and read about all of your success thus far too to kind of do my homework on you.

That's the one! Hehe, running's not my thing either, which is why I'm trying to beat it over the head with a stick :D

Thanks! I'll do my best :)
OMG! I just went to your blog FLG. Congratulations on your weight loss so far! You totally rock and kick ass!:hurray:
Oh, thanks so much! Very much appreciated! :)

Cheers mate!

Haha, thanks! I don't quite know what to say to that :D

Hope everyone's week is starting off well. I just did day 1/week 2 of C25K, and I didn't die, so that's a good start to the week for me :D

Well your blog looks freakin cool. Mine is just boring, black and white, not much to it. The before/during pictures are mind-blowing how far you have already come.

Have a great start to the week everyone, hope you all have goals in mind and a plan to work toward them.

haha I kinda slacked off on my healthy eating over this past weekend, hopefully I'll pick it back up this week. I'm SOOOOO close to breaking 200, just gotta get my mindset back. I think I need something new to reinvigorate me.

Everyone is doing so great!

Weekends are teh enemy!

I attended a couple of cookouts but managed to restrain myself, pride is a sin I am guilty of in the past few weeks. I'm sure you will keep on track this week, and yes you are awfully close to breaking 200, keep up the good work!

I am Catherine. I am 27. I weigh in approx 252kgs. Basically am signed up to get advice on the best way forward and to make sure that I am not wasting my time at the gym by doing the wrong exercises for what I'm looking to do.

I have joined a gym about 2 weeks and have been gradually working towards getting a fitter and have about 98kgs to loose. I want to loose weight and tone everything up without making muscles looking too big. I have a big chest which I am looking to really work on so everything doesn't go all droopy. I find my lower back gets very sore with a bad twang when doing very little exercise. I have been working on these two areas most.

I got to the gym approx 3-5 nights per week. My routine is :-
20 mins on treadmill at speed 3.3 - 0 incline
20 mins on bike at 4 rating approx 5.2 miles
Deadlifts straight leg set 15-12-10 10kgs
Deadlifts set 15-12-10 10kgs
Bent row set 15-12-10 10kgs
Chest fly machine set 15-12-10 weight 3
Chest press set 15-12-10 18kgs
Lat pull set 15-12-10 18kgs

Welcome!

First of all, Welcome to the club Catherine!

It looks like you have quite a routine in place for your exercise but I will ask the question about the other half of your life, how is your diet? You want to make sure that you are giving your body the best fuel for that full-on workout you are giving it.

Don't worry about getting "too big", odds are, unless you start taking steroids for some reason, you will not accumulate some rediculous muscle mass. :)

Good luck on your journey and welcome once again, so nice to have another member!

Well, I'm rejoining the 200 club. Unfortunately, I've picked up a nasty binge eating habit after losing 50 lbs, and have since regained 20 lbs. I feel so down on myself, but I think if I have some support, I can do it.

Also, I'm getting my doctor to put me back on wellbutrin, which I think will help, because I eat when I'm depressed.

:)

So, while these are unfortunate circumstances, I'm happy to be back where I can get some support.

:)

Hello!

Weighed myself the other day, and am at 205 lbs. Looks like I'm a member. My goal is to be a healthier and have a better self-image. I'm well on my way!

I've given myself a 30 day exercise challenge starting today. So far, so good.

Welcome welcome

@Lilyofthevalley - Welcome to the club again, don't worry, I'm sure we can get you motivated, moving, and back out of here in no time. :)

@decayed_teeth - Welcome to the club though your stay here may be shortlived. Congratulations on your devotion to your health and self-image, funny how one tends to improve the other!

--------------------------------------------------------

I have had a wonderful week this far, today wraps up a personal challenge I started for myself 17 days ago which I dubbed "Seventeen Days of Wonderful Suffering" and in 17 days I lost 10 pounds through a well-maintained diet and exercise you could set your watch to.

That currently brings me down to 205, and happy to say that soon, I will be under 200. I am not entirely excited about leaving the club, and plan on keeping in contact when it happens, because this was my first initial meeting of anyone on this forum. After I break the 200 barrier the next little goal is to get to 190, which is the first weight which brings me back into the "overweight" category for my height. Is it sad when being overweight is a goal? lol.

Hope everyone is having a great week, let's hear about your progress!

Congrats dude! That's pretty awesome! That's close to 5 lbs a week! Sheesh!

Nah dude, not sad at all. I hate bmi anyway. And I think my goal puts me at overweight as well.
