Club 200 Plus

Hi Everyone!! I'm brand new here (just joined today) and I'd love to join!

Welcome! What weight are you starting at? Good Luck!:hurray:

I'm new here as well. I was 250lbs back in October and I'm 213 today! Looking for encouragement and some advice as I meet my first goal(200lbs), and move on to my next! :)

Welcome Hun. Way to go on the amount of weight you've lost in the past few months.

Hi everyone! Can I join you? :seeya:

I am in the mid 200's (although I weigh in kg) looking to lose about 50kg or 110 pounds to get to goal!!! I have been doing this for 3 weeks now, and have lost 5kg.. or 11 pounds in that time by strictly counting calories.

Seems like there are some great sucess stories in here :D looking forward to getting to know you all better!

I am not that into exercise I must confess.. and will have to really motivate myself to get that side of things happening!

Welcome!

I'm not that into exercise either. I read about people on here who work out for hours a day, but the most I ever do is 30 minutes and sometimes it's because my boyfriend makes me. Think if it wasn't for him I'd still be a lazy bum. But not, I don't even need him to say anything to me, I just automatically jump on the treadmill and jog for 30 minutes.

Hope everything goes well for you! Good LUCK!

Veronica

Wow, it's good to see these new people here. I've been on and off, too many distractions, but my weight is slowly creeping down hehe, but not fast.
I'll start posting up again and gain motivation :)

Hey everyone,

Im new here also. My wife and I are loosing weight together, but shes already within 15 lbs of her goal (i dont know why she wants to be that thin ;) ) But I still have 90 lbs to go myself. I started around 292 lbs (6ft - 2"), and I am now at 280 after a few weeks.

Hi Veronica!

Thanks! LOL at least I know I am not alone hehehe! I have always hated "exercise" as such, although I don't mind accidental exercise like walking somewhere or when I used to horse ride all the time.. but I have never joined a gym or "worked out" in my life! As a result I am very very unfit, and all that laziness is now causing me health problems - which I have been able to get away with previously, but I guess eventually it has to catch up with you!!!

So here I am :) feeling pretty good about the whole process.. the food side has been no issue at all.. it actually feels like I am eating wayyy tooo much but the weight is coming off slowly, and that is the key!

I have a knee injury which has been troubling me for about a month now, and preventing me from doing much in the way of exercise, (it actually was one of the triggers for doing this, as I am sure it is weight related.. I have just gotten too fat for my joints!!!) But once that clears I plan on doing a lot more.. even if it is a slow start!

Hi Kevi! nice to meet you :)

Hi Kuwatatak! Well done on the loss so far! keep up the good work man!

Hi Cord! :)

Hope you are all having a wonderful health and happy day no matter where you are!

Kevi! Wow... the last time you were here you had 5 pounds left to be under 200... I thought that you were in underland already and all that good stuff.

Welcome! Good job on your loss so far! It will be great to here from you and your progress. For some reason it always helps me stay motivated to read about other people. I suppose it's because it helps me feel I'm not alone.

Around what weight would you like to get to... oh, I guess I could have figured that out if I did the math... you pretty much spelled it out.:banghead:

Haha nah, I have been just on and off too much distractions. The good thing is, I still eat whatever I want and not gain weight. :) Should be a good sign.

I ran for over 6 miles and burned 1200 calories on the elliptical today. :auto:

I was a beast!

I want out of the 200's so bad. :( hehe

All at once? The most I've ever done was 3 miles. You are a beast... workout wise just dont hurt yourself.

I have been doing an hour on the elliptical for about 3 months now. I usually do right at 5.5 miles and 900 calories burned. The past few days I have had a friend start going with me, but he doesn't get in the gym until I'm almost done. So I stay and do another 15-20 minutes with him.

I used to run 3 miles ever morning before work. Then I gained 70 lbs and that became impossible. Now that I'm getting closer to my goal the elliptical is like floating on air. I also like it because I have bad knees and shin splints that I have NOT been able to get rid of. The Elliptical let's the runner in me come out even with the extra baggage, bad knees, and shin splints. :)

Now, if I could only get rid of the shin splints I might start running outside again.

I do my 3 miles on the treadmill. I can't really run at a constant speed of 5.5 for a long time. So my 3 miles take me about 40 minutes to do.

I pretty much run at 5.5 for 1.5 minutes than walk at 3.0 for 1.5 minutes.

However, I think I'm going to change up my speeds come Tuesday. It hasn't become easier for me, but I think I need to push myself a bit more because I'm getting comfortable with what I'm running at now.

So maybe I'll just change it up a little so that I'm running at 5.5 for 3 minutes and walking at 3.0 for 1.5 minutes and work my way up from there.

I had the whole gym membership thing, but I hardly went. So last month my Love bought me a Treadmill for our Anniversary and I got him an XBox 360 Elite. But I'm glad he got me something useful. Plus, lately when I do the walking program on my treadmill, I hook up Guitar Hero and play while getting my walk on. :willy_nilly:
