Club 200 Plus

I'd like to join !
I broke into the 200's yesterday finally. Am at 299.4 lb today . My short term goal is to get to 250 around the middle of Feb 2008 . Then I'll start a new goal . but I plan to never be in the 300's again!

Congratulations on stepping into a whole new era!!!!!!!!
That must have felt awesome.

I am really happy to find this thread :). I just started dieting yesterday and weighed in at 17 st 2 this morning. For a small female that is really waaaaay too much (for you North Americans, that is 240 lbs .. hmm nothing like starting on a round number!). I felt as though there was no point in even starting a diet cos it would tkake me forever to get down to a reasonable rate but then I realised that I was being really defeatist there. So it's great to see other people in the same boat. If anyone wants to PM please do!!

I'm in with you guys 247.8 ( thanks digital scales I could have had hope I was closer to 246 but nooo). I'd love to be back in the 100's but just to hit 222 is my goal for now.

I want to join!

My initial goal is 200lbs. I am currently 241lbs. I want to get into some serious bodybuilding, but need to lose a lot of fat weight first. I have actually converted about 10lbs of fat into 10lbs of lean muscle mass so far, according to my gym instructor. But now he wants me to really concentrate on overall weight loss for a while. I want to drop at least 15lbs as quickly as possible, hopefully by Halloween!

I want to join. I lost about 30 pounds a year ago, but gained it back and about 7 pounds more after moving back from Europe. I'm having some cravings now, so this is really going to help!

On the downside again...

So, here I am almost 4 weeks after my last post and I finally started moving down again. I haven't posted since my weight wasn't changing. Not up, not down (my husband said atleast it's not going up, but I just sighed). He's really a great support system and sometimes he's my conscience, like when I get a REALLY bad craving for nacho chips and cheese sauce. All he does (and drives me nuts :flame:) is raise his eyebrows. FINE. I'll have water. LOL

Anyway, back to what I was saying. So, no weight change, but then my husband (him again) carefully mentioned that I've been skipping breakfast again. I've been in such a rush in the mornings that I just figured (wrongly) hey, if I’m not eating then I’ll still be OK.

Now, I’m not a fan of anything that doesn’t fit into my diet in the long term. If you’ve read my posts you’ll understand and appreciate the scare I had using drugs. But a friend, who works out, suggesting protein shakes. They usually taste gross but the one I’m using is actually pretty good. I alternate between shakes and eggs for breakfast, this way I won’t get bored. Drum roll please … OK so I’m back on track, down another 2 lb. I’m not afraid to admit that my husband was right (well maybe I’m a bit hesitant to actually admit it to his face).

So that’s my story, I’m human and just like everyone else. Keep up the good work everyone.

^ Congrats on the two pounds loss!

I'm in.
With the help of my good friend stress, I managed to pack on 40 pounds in not even 6 months, so i've been stuck for a while.
I'm at 212, and I plan on breaking the 200 point in October. I WILL DO IT!

Casanova - the truth is, that you can do it! Amazing as it seems. I've spent years dressing and undressing because my thighs look too big in a pair of pants or my shirt would show a new roll that I'd managed to sneak on over the winter. Last night I got a craving for heavily buttered popcorn ... almost too much to resist. Almost. But today I wore a new pair of size 18 jeans. I look pretty good. This weekend were doing some "fall" cleaning so I plan to work pretty hard, but I also want fit in a walk with my two boys.

Good luck and keep posting, even if you don't lose! It's important to get the support and feedback necessary to keep on track! I know you can do it!

I am down to 226.6 according to my digital scales :). Still a loooooooong way from what I'd feel even remotely happy at but hell, it's better than I was at this time last month.

I know what you mean. I get frustrated to the point where i'd love to call the people i'm going out with and just say i'm not coming, because i'll try on everything I own, and i'm not satisfied with how I look.
But today I put on my size 18 jeans[im a hip/booty girl] and I actually felt good. Sure my thighs are big, but I look great dammit!
I love fall cleaning, but you have to be in the mood for it. Hope you get to go on that walk! I've burned a few hundred calories just wandering around with my dad this morning, gotta love quality time. :]

I'm kinda rambling, but i'm just in a great mood this morning!
I hope everyone has a good day

Heh I haven't worn jeans for years .. I got too paranoid about the way my bum looked. When I get a bit smaller, maybe I'll get some.

Heh I think I'd look terrible but then .. I think I look terrible in everything :(. I wear mainly long skirts and big baggy tops. I am sure noone is fooled of course :)

Those types of clothing are actually more likely to make you lose your figure; There are tons of clothes that would enhance what you have. :]
But, as for comfort, baggy clothes are definitely the way to go, I can't resist hiding in a giant sweater.:p

Hey Everyone!

I'd like to join this club! At 227lbs with a goal weight of 150lbs I am overwhelmed! I feel like I have the determination to do it but 77lbs seems to be a tall order. I look around the site and I noticed that many members have dropped a lot more than that, some have even lost half of their weight and that's great. I'm just looking for some support and people to share stories and frustrations with.

Here's hoping we can all get out of this club soon!

Hi Jewels...I'm with you on this one. I have a few more pounds then you to lose, but I am doing it in intervals. I have too, if I look at the bigger picture of things, I get discouraged. But we can do it a little at a time. I am still new to the site and have just been reading a lot of threads and find the support is amazing so far, really encouraging--which is nice, but I like that there is no putting down or one-uping each other, which is hard to find these days. But one day at a time, sometimes for me its one meal at a time. I have been on and off diets a lot and will offically start this morning, following Weight Watchers CORE program (I like the freedom-to feel full). So now, I have a new tool under my belt, this site...which is great...so I am motivated and pumped and ready to go. Are you following any programs??

For everyone else, I am sitting at 245lbs...my short term goal is just 10lbs at a time. For every 10lbs I lose, I'll reward myself..(I just got my first tattoo, so I told my husband I'd get a new one for every 10lbs I lose...lol I'll be covered in no time!!) (JOKE) but I am baby-stepping, I mean the weight didn't come on over night, nor should I expect it come off over night, would be nice but I gotta be real! I have Dr. Phil's book (The Ultimate Weight Solution) and its got a lot of great info, and I am following Weight Watchers...but I look forward to chatting with y'all!:eh:

Hello everyone,

I am new here from the 300+ club and am I ever glad to be away from that one :p means I am doing something right. I am currently at 294 pounds having dropped even 4.6 pounds between this week and last. I was part of some of the completions here but left the 6 month one because I didn't feel like I was ready for it. Me and a friend however have a little challenge of our own going on where we are trying to lose 15% of our starting weight...the winner=the first to lose the weight. It's just something fun we have going on, no rewards or anything it's just that we are both trying to lose weight and have lunch with each other during most days in the week so it's a way we can both eat healthy.

I'll probably get back into the challenges when they roll around again because I am now strong with what I am eating etc and it's not because of them that I am doing them (I was afraid that I would lose motivation if that was why I was eating good type of thing) and I wanted a base plan to have and experiment with before I set out any challenges.

Anyway, hope to hear from you all!

Just sticking my head in here to see what my future club is all about.

I'm at 302 and I'm gonna work my ass off the next week to barrel through into the 200s.

Hi, I just registered today, and I wanna jump in and join this club. I'm currently 215 lbs and i'am 16 years old. I was working on some weights this summer for about 2 months and stopped for about 3 months now. I'm planning on getting back on weight lifting again. My target weight is 170lbs the least and 185 the most. I don't wanna look too skinny, but normal with some body muscles, because I play basketball. Right now, I really don't have any plan on how to lose all these weight. All i'm doing right now, is play basketball daily, and I think it's helping a little by burning some fat. About my diet, I eat white rice everyday since i'm asian and my parents doesn't want me to skip eating rice, but atleast eat a little of it.
