Club 200 Plus

When we've run challenges - percentage lost tends to be better than lbs lost - I can say from personal experience, the higher the weight - the more that is generally lost on a weekly basis... so it evens out more on percentages.. :)

re: cash prizes
Cash prizes I am sort of opposed to because there are some people out there who will do anything for money... or to win - doing this healthily with some friendly competition is better

Start up a new challenge in the challenges section -- cuz not everyone checks out the clubs portion..

sounds good to me...lets do the 8 week challenge with the most percentage lost...

I agree regarding the cash prize...I think the new friendship that will be made and the weight lost and the support will be a great prize in itself!

When should we start? I'm all for today...haha throw some ideas my way, or someone post the challenge in the correct area...

OoOO I'm all excited now :)

anime girl there's an 8 week challenge in the challenges section - join up there as well - it's a challenge to ourselves to stay with our programs and do what's good for us :)

Hmm, I'm interested in this club. I weighted myself for the first time in a year and a half and I'm up to 210... I'd *really* like to be back down under 200 again, but I have trouble losing weight because I'm hypothyroid... I like the idea of having a support system helping me on :p

I'm up for a challenge

I recently tried Meridia and lost .... my HAIR! Yup, I lost about 2/3's of my hair. Very sad :(

So I'm up for a challenge that doesn't include drugs. I will go check out when the next challenge is and join.

Thanks for the info..

I was seriously considering a diet pill. But I'm kinda vain losing the hair would not be a good thing.:rotflmao:

Can I join you guys? I have to find someone in the same boat as me or I think I'll lose motivation again. :(

Excercise at night

Hi,

I have a question; does it help to exercise late at night? My kids are in bed by 9pm and I've always thought that exercising that late doesn't do anything to help. We have that Tony Little machine in our basement (I can watch TV while I glide) and I'd go on at night but will it help?

I joined the The June 2lbs a Week challenge yesterday. So last night it was a conscious thought to not snack. I grabbed a glass of water before bed, but the truth was, I wasn't hungry. I just find it real hard to sit and watch TV without doing something else. In the colder weather I crochet and that really helps but it's pretty warm right now.

Have a great day, hopefully the sun is shining somewhere (rainy here :eh: ).

i've read and have to agree - it doesn't matter when you do it as long as you do! i exercise in the evening too b/c it's easier. i'm not a morning person and unlike some who can hang, i just set myself up for failure thinking i'm going to get up at 530 and exercise. not gonna happen. do what's best for you! just my opinion.

I have chronic insomnia so I tend to read a lot on the subject of what hampers sleep - and i have read -how true it is I don't know -that strenouse exercise 2 -3 hours before bed should be avoided because it can interfer with sleep.. but if it doesn't effect you then I'd say do what works for you...

Hi guys, my hair is growing back (after the meridia) and I couldn't be happier!

Also, my weight is slowing dropping, I'm walking with a girlfriend at night and watching what I eat with what i.e. trying not to mix carbs and protiens.

The long weekend is almost here!
:eh:

I would love to join this club

 Hi

I just thought that maybe some of you feel the same way as I do about the long journey that we have ahead of us. I know that loosing weight is a struggle no matter how little or how much you have to loose but I thought that those of us in the 200's might have a little something in common.

So if anyone is interested I would like to start a club for us.

Not sure if your still here but I would really like to join this club. I currently weigh 261 and am hoping to get down to 150 by the time i see my hubby at the end of april of next year. I could really use some motivation to get toned and lose some weight as i have been trying but keep failing ever diet I have tried in the past. This time I am not failing... I will not allow myself to do this again. My goals are to get back into a 18/20 if not smaller by the time i see my hubby and right now i am in a 26/28 so that is 6 to 10 dress sizes in 9 months.

277 here. I don't remember if I already joined this club but if not, I am now.
