Club 200-250

Fingers crossed. Have you thought of things to have or activities to do instead when the cravings hit?

Staying away from all of them will be tough, and might lead to a break-out reaction (ie like breaking out of jail, not like acne!). Maybe just swear off for a limited time? That way you can know you've achieved what you set out to do, plus you can extend for another week or month or whatever, if you feel like it.

I see. I think that makes sense. I guess I will say until the end of May at least. Happily I am seeing some good results with the current method. I am trying to eat enough and not feel deprived of quantity. I think I can balance that with the rules I have put in place so that this whole thing can be manageable and still get me the results I want.

I've been having some super stressful times the last few days. But no matter what outside stresses I receive, I am not going to let myself give up again. I am going to keep faithful to my weight loss goals. Honestly I am not losing much weight as of yet, even with the changes I have made. It's only been a few days though. I am confident the results will come in time.

These are hard times. Stress makes losing weight even harder. Hope things lighten up for you soon.

I have been genuinely astonished at how slow my weight loss is going despite the level of discipline I am maintaining. But to be honest though, I think it could be a good thing. Rapid weight loss is not necessarily good. Also I have to learn to practice discipline no matter what the outcome. So I will take this as a good time to practice maintaining discipline no matter what the results.

Hey Kyle, slow is a lot better than not losing. You are doing fine!

I recently had a weight bounce experience, last week I was down 7 lbs, the most in a week since my first week. And I actually weigh everyday, so I know it all came in 2 days. In the 10 days or so since then I have lost nothing, despite eating and exercising the same. Lesson learned, short term weight gain or loss means little, its the long term trend that matters.

Good news. My weight is starting to go down. I am down to 242.2 now. I had been stuck close to 250 for a while there. I think that I will soon be under 240, which will be a new record low for the past couple years.

I have been pretty consistent. But still not getting much results. I am going to increase my fasting period from 16hr to 18hr to see if that helps get some better results.

How many calories are you consuming in that 16 hour window, Kyle? Are you still in deficit?

Kyle, Cate asks a good question. I know the IF thing has helped a lot of people, but you still need to keep the calories down. Flyer might have some ideas for you. I have watched and thought about his approach and his IF is clearly working for him. However I have also noticed that he eats pretty well.

You can do this, you will figure it out, I know you will!

I am surprised. Somehow I assumed that I was in calorie deficit. But I didn't do the calculation, so I will start calculating the calories. Perhaps it will shed some light on my recent failure to lose weight. And if @overlandflyer has any input, I am open. I know Flyer shares a lot of information, but I suppose I have been closed-minded. Sometimes there is just too much information and I don't know what to listen to. You guys know how that feels?

You guys know how that feels?
Definitely. In the end every decent weightloss method is an attempt to get you into a caloric deficit while keeping you comfortable enough to stick with the program. Every calorie may not be exactly the same but they're all close enough to make long-term success pretty much the same for all methods. Fasting helps for some people. Keto does it for others. Someone somewhere does great on high-carb-low-fat. All plans work but not everyone can stick to every plan.

I think we all know that feeling, Kyle.
No matter which plan we follow we still need to be in deficit. Tracking will help you figure that out. Hang in there, mate!

How many calories should I aim for?
