Club 170s

Thanks Amy it was a flicker not a stable but hey i saw it and will see it again .

You will indeed, and stably before Christmas, too, I'm betting! :D
And I'm now putting up a balloon on my own account - I hit the 173 this morning!
Which is twelve stone five pound, and still overweight for my stumpy height, but it's the safety net I was aiming for, and I'm perfectly happy to stop here and hereabouts through the whole festive season. :)

I hope so Amy would be great to be 176 for Christmas.
And again a huge congratulations to you . You have done super this year and a good slow steady weight loss is working for you . It's not just about the weight loss but a change of mindset and lifestyle that you can carry forward to the future.
:cheers2::rotflmao:.

Oh I forgot to tell you I found a mini bottle of prossecco I intend to have Christmas Eve night. I can't recall where I got it .

Hooray for the prosecco! :hurray: And another reason for hooray - I've just been reading about your early weigh-in, and dropping the extra little bit, so you are now down again at 176, yes? So... :hurray: again! I'm loving that we've both made that safety net, and I'm really looking forward to Christmas.
I read that you've set a new target of another eleven pounds, too, which will take you down into the low 160s, so I'd better enjoy your company here while I can. :) It's been great having you here, and I'm loving the inspiration you bring - like the
Christmas Fruit Tree.
Thanks for your kind words about my weight loss this year - I'm definitely the slowpoke of the WLF site! - I really hope that the change in thinking and eating will be a permanent one.

Amy my morning weight is lower than my class weight so really another 11 lbs would really bring me to about mid 160s and like you I am in no rush to get there . I like you are letting your skin settle with your new body . It was a good point and I like it .
I am so ectastic that I have done so well since May . To be not gorging on goodies this time of year is amazing for me . I’m very happy about it .

The star on my Fruit Christmas Tree was honeydew melon!

And the tree itself got more decorated than is shown in this picture, because after this was taken lots of bright orange pawpaw was added.
I loved ending the day's eating by nibbling on the tree; thank you for the inspiration. :)

I used a butternut pumpkin, sitting up in a handy ring of the right size. I had to take a slice off the top to be able to get a skewer in to hold the Fruit-of-the-month star, and the skin was tough, too, so I scored some lines down the side, to stick the toothpicks in.
The pumpkin has already lost all its Christmas tree glory, and is just a plain pumpkin again, ready to turn into soup tomorrow - I must look around to see if I can find that pumpkin-coconut soup recipe you had a while back! :)

Think it's the happy pear recipe I used . My brother had lovely stuffed squash the other day from their recipes . Must try that .

Yes, I did a search on "coconut" and found your reference to Happy Pear. :)
And thank you for inspiration, re: butternut stuffing! I think I'll use the leftover mushroom filling I made for the Mushroom Wellington to stuff just one slice of it - one "ring" part.

170s Club member reporting in! New Year's is still ahead - tonight, and tomorrow lunch - but right now, as of this moment, the Christmas weight gain is gone, and I'm back down to under 174, and feeling pleased about that. :)

Well done Amy you have managed it well . I’m too thankfully remaining in this club for 2020 . I suspect it will take me a wee while to progress down in it but I’m happy to safely remain here just now .

I'm at 173 this morning, but I have a work dinner (ie a year-end celebration dinner organised by work as a gift to workers) at a Japanese restaurant tomorrow night, so that might bump me up again. I'm not wanting to leave here too quickly, but I am starting to think it's possible.
I'll still be trying to just maintain where I am through January, though, and concentrate on fitness and skin care.

Hi, I just weighed at 178 this morning so I guess I'm out of the 180's ^^
:hurray::hurray: Balloons and cheers for a new member! Welcome Nelly! :hurray: :hurray::party:

Great to have you here with us, and hope you enjoy looking through our archives! (Though I'm guessing you won't be here for long! But then - I think we're all on our way down, and out of here!)

We have been having a Fruit of the Month focus here, just for fun, with a fruit picked by different members in turn. (If you look back through, we've had honeydew melon, and oranges, and a few more.) Would you like to pick a fruit for January?
