Howdee fellow 70's . . I feel totally groovy to be here!
A little about how I got here:
I joined the forums back in August. With the help of challenges, inspiration and other motivation, and my own journaling, I had experienced success- losing almost 15lbs. Then my Dad died in Nov, then holidays came and went and just when I was getting back on track, my Mom dies last month.
I started in the 180's, got down to the 160's and am now smack-dab in the middle of the 170's.
Time is getting away from me, and summer will be here soon. I really want to feel good about myself, and actually want to enjoy shopping for shorts and other clothes for summer. I have started journaling again, am doing cardio 3x a week for 30 min, and 2x a week strength training.(I have one week under my belt so far lol!) There are no current challenges to join in, but have posted my own to start soon, even if its just me! I really think the challenges had alot to do with my success beacuse they make the weightloss almost fun.
I look forward to progressing thru the 170's with you, and hope to support you guys in your journey as well!
I'm 177 for the past week or so... was 198 in January. Happy! but can't wait to get to the 160s. But f it, I'm gonna have fun in the 170s while they last! HA this is that weird weight where my fat clothes are too big and my skinny clothes are too small. I can't wait to buy summer clothes. Anybody wanna start a challenge in this thread?
WOOT I'm happy to finally be able to join. The scale said around 177.5 today, but it's hard to tell because it's one of those doctor's type scales, not a digital. Looks like I'm in here for real now

I am currently 176 as of yesturday.

Hello all, and welcome those new to the 170's. Unfortunately, I have been in and out of the 170's for months. I'd love to blame it on the awesome folks here that keep me coming back, but alas . . that is not the case.
My challenge is to keep going. I have to NOT lose focus. I flub up when I see how far off my goal is (150ish), and I flub up after a week of success- guess I relax too much instead of heeding what worked in the previous week.
My new strategy is to set mini goals, and reward myself when I reach them (pedicure, new top, etc.) The currect mini goal is to get in the 160's, so don't take it personally, but I hope not to be in this "club" by July.
