Really enjoyed my weights today - chest and triceps. Increased a few of the weights too which is always satisfying :) Got chatting to a guy afterwards who is looking for a training partner so, we're going to compare programmes and goals to see if training together would be a good idea (I desperately need a spotter!!)

45mins stepper but, couldn't swim as I forgot my silly hat unfortunately. Really tired now (feet up and TV time :D )
 
Well, I was due a bad day at the gym and today was it. After about 30mins on the stepper, I had nothing left - I actually felt a little light headed at one point! Managed to push through to 55mins and did about 20 - 25mins in the pool but, I can honestly say, I really didn't enjoy myself today. :(
 
Well, I'm not feeling much better. I ahve a sore throat and I ahve a few aches and pains. I think I've caught the bloody flu again :(

Mind you, struggled down to the gym and had an excellent workout on biceps and back. Increased every weight on every excercise. Giving each muscle group a week to recover seems to be making a HUGE difference! Went on to do 45 extremely intense minutes on the stationery bike and a few laps of the pool. Couldn't really swim fast though as the pool was too busy so, gave up after about 10mins. All in all though, I was pretty pleased considering.

2 more workouts this week and then a 2 day break for Easter (uh oh, good food and beer, here I come! ;) )
 
Felt a bit better today. I wasn't going to go to the gym but, it was the receptionists last day so, I wanted to say goodbye and good luck (and get her phone number ;) )

60mins cross trainer and 10 laps in the pool. Could have been better - probably won't go back down until next Tuesday...
 
The last time we talked u told me that it was a guy who is at reception these days..and all of sudden it is a she???

Well, 4 days off over Easter and 4 hangovers later (oops), I finally got back down tot he gym today. Did chest and triceps and then 50mins on the stepper. My legs feel a bit sore for some reason, they don't usually. Oh, and I totally skipped legs and shoulders last week on account of the break so, Saturday will be interesting...

Wasn't really in the mood today. 45mins intervals on cross trainer and 30mins bike. Couldn't swim as pool was too crowded :(
 
Much better today. Decided to do legs and shoulders instead of back and biceps (which I'll do on Saturday). A few weight increases and a good 45mins on the stepper afterwards.

Couldn't use the pool again as there was some aerobics class for middle aged women going on in it. So, went and sat in the steam room for a bit. After 15mins, all the women descended on the steam room!! Scary!! lol

Just a question. You are so driven for fitness it seems :)

How long did it take you to get from 22.7% BF to 15.2% ?

Sounds like you are thoroughly enjoying your life and I commend you for that as most people never reach a point of peace with themselves like you have achieved with yourself.

oh yeah, and it never fails if I am in the steam room that about 5 really old people come in there and they breathe really loud and keep like grunting and stuff LOL.

How long did it take me? Well, I the 22.7% measurement was back in November so, about 6 months in total. However, I think it could have been a lot quicker than that if it weren't for two things. Firstly, Christmas. I didn't train and I over-indulged for almost 3 weeks so, that probably set me back a bit. I also took a month off not so long ago just because it seemed like a good idea at the time!! This was a month of extreme over-indulgence (and a lot of fun!!) :D - without these setbacks, I would be quite a bit closer to my goal.

Its well documented on this forum that I like the odd beer now and then which probably slows my progress too but, I think my underlying theory is that all workout and no play makes chris a dull boy ;)
 
45mins intervals on elliptical
35mins stepper

Quite intense intervals today - really felt it afterwards. It softened my legs up a bit after squats yesterday (I've had really sore quads today).

Great sauna afterwards - met a lovely young lady who was simply born to wear a bikini!! ;) (no, I didn't stare but, it was impossible not to notice!!)
 
Had a really good workout today. Back and biceps - I'm going away for a few days after wednesday so, I'll be doing my 3 day split on successive days this week (I'm going to be in sooo much pain by Thursday!! lol)

60mins stepper and 20 laps of the pool today then, a nice relaxing sauna. 2 seperate people said I was looking extremely slim :D
 
Fantastic workout today :D Chest and triceps is fast becoming my favourite!! Increased a few weights - I actually skipped most ab work today as I trained them yesterday. Switched to side planks rather than standard - new excercise for me, only managed 60secs each side.

Went on to do 45min intervals (graduated on elliptical) and about 15 laps of the pool. The lane dividers were missing though and it was utter chaos!! Swam into someone 3 times and gave up. lol

Legs and shoulders tomorrow :)
Oh yeah, and I made my own protien bars - not brilliant as they are a bit crumbly but, they taste pretty darn good!
 
Workout was going okay today, more weights on shoulder presses (which I used to struggle with) but, by the time I got round to reverse flyes, I noticed a clicking in my shoulder - by the 2nd set, it had started to hurt so I stopped. Went on to do some cardio but, I'd lost momentum so, quit after 20mins on the bike.

All in all, not happy with myself for quitting early :mad: . I'll try to do some cardio tomorrow morning to make up for it.
 
I expected to have a sore shoulder today but, it seems fine. Got up at 6:45am and did 25mins elliptical to make up for my poor cardio showing yesterday. Won't be training now until next Tuesday (Bankl Holiday Weekend - yay! :D)
