I only drank 40 oz yesterday.... and today I've hardly downed 20 and I feel sooo unmotivated. I don't even want to move, but I know I have to work out... which makes me even more frustrated and want to curl up under my blankets and be a bum... thus restarting the bad-mood cycle.... ugh.

Hey, peeps...!

I'm pretty sure I'm doing alright with the water...I haven't been keeping track, but I know the glass I drink from holds about 2 cups (so about 16oz). With all the exercising, I'm constantly downing a full glass, so I'm not too worried. Plus, water is the only thing I have to drink, apart from some lemonade and Gatorade (both of which I have been avoiding...I let myself have the lemonade on weekends, lol).

I love fall...! I think when the leaves really turn colors and stuff...I'm gonna maybe walk outside or something...if I don't get too lazy. :)

No probs with the water here for me either.. I drank about 80 oz yesterday. Water is usually the only thing I drink and I always drink a lot when exercising. I do drink tea in the mornings too. I try to limit alcohol and soda to one night a week.

I am on antibiotics now so hopefully they should do the trick! It's spring here but it doesn't seem like it cause it's pouring with rain and freezing! I managed to still do a little exercise yest and I think I might go to the gym today and see how I go.h

I donated blood for the first time today!

I ate a little breakfast at 6 AM. My appointment was at 8:30 AM... but something broke down and they couldn't take me until nearly 2 PM. I sat there waiting the whole time and didn't eat anything. Finally, they called me in and tested me to see if I was eligable, and then they took me back the the donating place and stuck the needle in me. The needle part hurt for a second, but as soon as it broke the skin, I no longer felt the slight pain. I was okay for a while, or so I thought. I must've gotten really pale or something. The nurse kept asking me if I was okay and kept glancing at me oddly. Now, I had just been talking with the nurses (one guy liked to joke around and all of the nurses were friendly) and alert. Then a little while passed (she kept adjusting the needle) and I start to feel really dizzy. It was really weird what happened next... I managed to mumble, "I don't feel well" and then suddenly my hearing wasn't right (it sounded as if my head was under water) and my vision went kind of haywire, everything was blurry and not very bright/colorful, and the edges of what I could see got darker. It was really hard to keep my eyes open; I threw up at one point, and they kept shaking me and putting ice on me and poured water all over my head/face and sprayed something horrible smelling up my nose that made me cough and kept asking me questions to keep me awake. It stopped after a little while, but it was so hard to stay awake. I don't know how much blood I was able to give before they pulled it out... :( When I was stable, she fed me soda and Goldfish crackers and told me to sit for a while and then slowly walk and then kept me for another 45 minutes or so to watch me. It wasn't scary, just weird.

I really hope they allow me to donate blood again - and this time, I'll eat an hour before I do.
 
Oh Cheiri what a horrible experience! It's a big no no to not eat before you give blood! I am surprised they let you donate.

I first donated soon after I turned 16 and they loved me because I have big veins (you can see them bulging outta my arms). I have never had a problem with feeling unwell during or after and usually try and get out of there ASAP well they try and keep me to rest. Hope you're feeling OK now.

This thread has quietened down a bit now! Where is everyone? Hopefully out exercising instead of sitting on the comp like me. I was feeling better today so worked out a bit harder at the gym and felt great afterwards! I did have a quiche at lunch time though (but it was only a mini one). It wasn't very nice and i don't really like pastry so I won't be tempted to have one again for a while!

Did any of you see about the tsunami in Samoa and American Samoa? Its very sad. Apparantly it was meant to hit here in NZ but they only recorded a wave of 40cm! That's much smaller than most waves here anyway!

I've got the flu =(

And I go to the doc today, I'm hopin' it's not the piggy flu cause I'm sooooorrrtaaa getting tired of the piggy jokes. lol. And I feel terrible for missing work, AGAIN.

So..I'm just trying to yanno..stay alive. Trying to get my liquids in.

Why is our team all getting sick? Goodness! We need to keep drinking our water and make sure we're eating healthy and do what exercise we can, so we can get better!

Oh, it wasn't horrible at all. I found it quite interesting! I've never passed our or nearly passed out before. I don't get "freaked out" easily - I just hope I'm able to donate again in 56 days. If not, I'm going to argue with my doctor :/

Ughhh, somehow I got these huge blisters on the back of my legs. They sting and bleed. Owww.

hey guys!! i'm still here... fortunately, i'm not sick like some of you. i hope you all feel better soon! haha, on the bright side, you'll probably lose a few pounds with the flu :ack2:

things are good with me. eating well and jogging my butt off, literally! hopefully i will have lost more than a pound come weigh-in day, but as long as it's a loss, i'll take it.

Hi guys

Weighed in just before (fri 8.15am here) and very happy with my result. I lost 0.9kg. It's pretty good seeing as this week has been somewhat of a write-off with the sinus infection. I must have made up for my lack of exercise and bad eating in the past 2 days!

It means I'm now under 200lb but seeing as I weigh in KG I really just want to see myself drop below 90!

I still want to reach my goal of 8kg lost as well so I'm going to have to up the ante over the next 4 weeks! Can't wait I'm feeling so motivated right now.

Yes the tsunami in Samoa was very sad. A few Australians were killed which is really sad. I'm from Aus.

Well I weighed this morning and I'm down .8kg since last Sunday. i'm hoping to be down a kilogram by Sunday. I have to keep the momentum going and keep losing around a kilo each week. I'm only just over 5kgms off my goal.

AAAARGH!!!! THE SCALE DIDN'T BUDGE!!!!

I just weighed in and am still at 167... just like last Friday. I'm really disappointed with this result, because I only had one cheat meal this week, and have exercised hard every day. I really felt like I had lost at least 3 lbs; I feel thinner and less bloated. It sucks, because I feel like I am working my butt off just to maintain this weight (which is overweight), but if I skip even one day exercising and eat yummy foods for even one day, I gain 5 lbs!! I should be losing, but I'm not... any suggestions? I don't have time to devote more than an hour a day to exercise (which is what I'm already doing), and I'm keeping my calories between 1500-1600. I know that's probably a bit high compared to what some of you are doing, but I don't want to go too low, either. Maybe I'll cut down to 1300-1400 and see where that takes me.

Itbustle, it sounds like you are doing everything correctly! Everyone's bodies change at a different rate. As long as you're doing everything properly, the weight will come off! But maybe your body just won't process it in one week; maybe yours takes two or even a month. Just keep up the good work and I'm sure you'll do fine :)


I didn't lose a lot this week, but I'm happy with it. I hardly exercised, didn't watch what I ate or anything. But I've been sort of down all week, so maybe I just wasn't eating a lot. Anyway, I'm happy to report a loss, at the least.

weighed in today and the scales showed that i have lost 1.4kgms. 62.6 kgms today.

only 4.6kgms off my goal weight. Ididn't exercise alot last week but i must have eaten less than usual. I am soooooo happyy.

Guys we can do this and win the challenge. If i get below 60 by the end of the month i will be soooo happy. I haven't been that light in years

Keep posting guys. Keeps me motivated

I can't wait to get in the 60s! I don't think I'll ever be able to get much below that though because of my shape!

AFM my day so far has been going really well. I woke up early to watch the cricket (Cazza you might be the only one who knows what I'm talking about - for the rest of you sorry!) and had a pear. Then seeing as I was up early anyway I went to bikram (hot) yoga for my first time! It was pretty fun but dragged on after a while and I sweated more than I think I ever have. It was quite yuk actually.

Then I came home and had an omlette and some crackers for lunch.

Planning to have tuna with tinned tomatoes and pasta for dinner.

Congrats to everyone on losing or maintaining this week. I had a sneaky look at the other halloween challenge threads and it seems like we're doing pretty well so keep it up guys!

I wasn't sick this week either but I've just been soooo busy and it's just been a rough week.

I didn't lose anything but I'm re-motivated now and am hoping for a big loss this week to make up for this week :)

I've been reading 'Chicken Soup for the Dieters Soul' and it's fantastic! I'm slowly getting through it and reading it when I need some motivation. Highly recommend it!!

So, weren't we supposed to have weekly challenges too? I haven't checked the mail thread yet. Will do so now. I've barely had any time to be on the internet but I wanted to make this a priority. So I'll try checking in every day!

My water total is 420oz.

Haven't seen any sign of Angelica but I'm pretty sure Cazzas still here? She posted like 3 posts ago!
 
i dont' know for sure if i took her off...but if she shows up, i'll be glad to re-add her. There hasnt' been an update on the chart in the past 2 weigh ins??
