Good Morning!

Every time I read about your quilting, I think about my grandma. She was a quilter. When she got very very old and nearly blind, she'd have my aunts cut her out patterns of animal shapes so she could give all of us grandkids a stuffed pillow before she died.:(

She gave me an already stitched together quilt top? that needed the batting and all done, because she was just too feeble to finish it, and told my mom and me that we needed to finish it together. well, it made me think that, that was over 20 YEARS AGO! I got it as a graduation gift!! SHAME on me! My mom still has the quilt top so now I need to call her and tell her. My life goes tooo fast, I swear! Im just thankful mom still has it, because after graduation, I kinda turned into a wild child for a while, and probably would have lost it. Ps...I cant sew jack. nada, zilch, nothin... but mama is an expert like you are!

dont u sweat the pizza, ok? its a small thing, and in the grand scheme of things, is as about as important as a zit on prom day. seeeems important at the time, but nobody is gonna notice.:D

My mom loves to quilt. I have several things in my home that she has made..blankets and wall hangings. I love them! I cant quilt though. I am not very exact....nothing in my life is terribly exact...including the checkbook...lol. It is such a great hobby though. Its really great to be able to make keepsakes that can be passed down through the family. I am glad you had fun with your mom and sis! :)

Yeah! on getting in all your water! Looks like your right on target with your calories too. Good job!! I got a bit off track last night when I went out to eat for dinner, but I am ready to get back on course today. Its sooo hard when we are out to eat. I try not to be terrible...I just cant seem to be perfect either. Hope it doesnt through off my weigh in on Wednesday!

Hi Ladies! Thanks for visitin'! :D
Kate, Quilting is my meditation. LOL I love it and could do it all day (actually, after my mama and sis left, I kept right on quilting one I have started  ). If your quilt top has been folded away for that long I would be REALLY carefull when you unfold it - especially if it hasn't been protected from sun/ humidity.
I decided, the next morning, to try not to worry about the pizza. I figured, I learned my lesson (it wasn't as good as my fake pizza) and I knew better for next time. I have been trying really hard to concentrate on getting my water instead. (as I sit here with my pitcher and a straw! LOL)

Fluff, if we went out to eat at some place too eat other than Friendly's I would be sunk! We don't go out often but when we do I have to preplan and/or make a lot of special requests. I ticked off our waitress at one restaurant 'cause I asked if they grilled the "grilled" fish with oil or nonstick spray - her face and eyes got all reddish and she looked at me like she was gonna beat me! LOL I didn't care - I was the one eating it not her!!!! :D :D I have had to be really good on my calories this week 'cause I haven't been able to get in any exercise :( I have MADE myself cut my intake a little try and prevent pound creepage for tomorrow. Here's hopin' it works!!! It can't do anything but work!!! It just has to work! (okay, freakout attack over :p :D ) hehehehehe.

So far today......

pkg cheese crackers w/ peanut butter
chicken frank
(heck of a breakfast, huh?!LOL)

wheat pasta w/
chicken breast
ground turkey
fresh peppers
baby carrots
spices

I plan on a salmon fillet and green beans for dinner, but hey, I've been known to change my mind before!

PS Fluff, you should see MY checkbook! LOL Not exact at ALL!!!! hehehe

UGH! I am STUFFED!!! :p :) Yup, I stuck with my salmon and green beans and added a salad w/ fake cheese and low-fat italian dressing.... Man, I CAN'T BELIEVE I ATE THE WHOLE THING!! LOL

total calories for today... 1220

I quilted all day (again) on the quilt I had started..... can't wait til it's done (then I have to sell it:( - oh, well... then I can make another :) ).

Got in all my water today by 4pm YAY!!! :D Now I can stop drinking so I don't pee the bed! Some mornings I wake up and have to beat hubby to the bathroom or risk bladder explosion!!! It's enough to make ya wanna cry if ya gotta wait too long! LOL

Ahhhh.... bed early tonight :D I can sleep good knowing THERE IS SCHOOL TOMORROW! LOL I love these kids but man, they can't seem to NOT fight when they are together. Separate them and they mope put them together and they fight.... There just isn't any winning! LOL

Weigh in tomorrow... hope it doesn't give me nightmares tonight... Heck, I hope it doesn't give me "daymares" when I step on the darn scale! LOL

Heh, your kids sound like my brother and sister... if you put them in the same room for twenty minutes they'll get into a fight about some thing or another :p Course, I'm not immune to arguments with my siblings either, but I like to think I'm a bit mellower than they are

Sounds like you're doing great, and I hope you enjoy the little bit of peace and quiet you get tomorrow!

Ah, a Sunday spent quilting... I'm sooooo jealous! I'm not a quilter, I'm a scrapbooker, but a whole day spent lazily enjoying my hobby is my dream!
Great job with the calories and good luck at the weigh in!

Hi Beagle :D As the oldest of four children, I must admit I started my fair share of arguments when at home. I moved out at 17 and we all became best friends after that. I have yet to fight, seriously, with any of my siblings and its been (gulp) 13 years. We were all at each others throats before I moved out, but we would leap to defend our family from others. LOL Kids! :D

Hey ya, Scrappy :D I LOVE to quilt. I have tried my hand at scrapbooking but just cant seem to get into it as much as my sister..... Not sure why. I spent ALL WEEKEND quilting :p :D I don't do that often as I quilt all week for my business, but I rarely get the chance to spend that much time with Mama and Li'l Sis. I hope you get the chance to spend a while with your scrapbooking soon. Kind of a "recharge" to your mind and spirit ;) That's what I tell hubby - if I didn't do this I would rip off his head and then where would he be? HE'D have to do the dishes - huh, imagine that! LOL

Good luck with your weigh in! You been doing great so I am sure you will see results.

I totaly relate about the kid thing. I have three. They will pick on each other furiously! Drives me nuts sometimes. But I guess that is part of having brothers and sisters.

Hope you have a great Monday! :)

YIPEEEEE!!!

K, I am sooooo glad that weigh in is over!!! I lost 2.6#!!! All that water chugging has been worth it :D I cut around a hundred calories on most days last week so that paid off too :) I can't say as I am proud of the fact I didn't exercise last week, but going to get back on track with that this week and who knows, maybe I won't gain the usually 10 pounds that comes with that TOM  THAT gets really depressing.

Last night it snowed and this morning it rained! LOL Wish it would decide what the heck it wants to do out there  It did make a great snowball to chuck at hubby this morning, though :D We all had an impromtu snowball fight as I was taking the boys to the bus stop. The neighbors must have thought we were nuts!!! LOL Four of us out there at 8am laughing, screaming, and chucking snow/ ice balls. hehehehe It doesn't happen often. We aren't usually leaving at the same time and not usually all outside together, but that opportunity was too good to pass up! :p :D

Gotta run. End of saga for now. Be back for chapter 2 later today ;)

Thanks Korrie :D I owe it to the help and support I get here:D Without you guys I'd be sunk - yet again. This forum is the one of the few things I have done differently this time and it has made a tremedous difference. I pity those who haven't found it yet :)

Excellent job on your weigh in Cassie, you're a great inspiration :D

I wish I were good at some sort of craft thing, but all I do all day is putz around the internet, study, and work. Granted, I'm pretty good at the internet ;) but its not so much a marketable skill as making home-made things.

Hi Beagle:) I try hard to be as good as I can - I get inspired by others, it's hard to imagine being an inspiration to anyone! LOL I'll take it as an added bonus, though :D

I like being craft-able :) It helps with stress, etc. I get mad at the computer all the time so being on the 'net is a big thing for me  (Can you imagine how I'll be when I get my computerized sewing machine - my goal weight prize - I'll probably kill it the first week! LOL). I liked school and like to write, the kids don't understand why I actually miss it. I even went "back to school" to get my degree in accounting. Now that I have it, all I use it for is our businesses!! LOL In this day and age, being good on the internet will get you farther than my sewing will ever get me, but I enjoy it :)

I discovered what happens when I wait too long to eat breakfast..... I feel really sick and then I grab junk - good junk but still junk! LOL Oh, well, lesson learned

So far, todays eats...

2 chicken franks
fake cheese
slice light wheat bread
2% milk (hubby got me the wrong kind  )

chicken noodle soup

I was a good girl and planned the rest of my food for the day,but refuse to post it until I eat it as I am famous for changing my mind! LOL Another chapter later :D

Lets see..... eats for the rest of the day.....

turkey kielbasa w/ mushrooms and peppers
4 oz 2% milk (yuck! it's like drinkin' cream!)

laughing cow
light wheat bread

chicken
light coffe ice cream (my YaY! 3/4 C LOL)

Okay, Tru. If I can figure it out I will post my pics tomorrow morning....... I hope I can find one of me that is relatively current......ugh. okay, going to search right now! Don't blame me if you go blind!! LOL

PS Tru, i couldn't get to your pic - it told me i had to register... did i do something wrong??

Congratulations on the weight loss! You are doing fabulous! :D

By the way, I don't like 2% either. And whole milk is so gross now!

Hey Bize!! Congrats on the 2.6 pounds!! Thats great. :) Its that great attitude of yours that carries you through. Isnt it fun making a new ticker though?? So motivating!

Good luck on posting pics. If you figure it out I may have you help me. I am really bad at the whole computer thing.

Keep up the great work! I wonder how many calories one can burn during a snowball fight? lol. Not that I will ever find out....never snows here.

Fluff, IF I can figure this out, I will definately TRY to help ya :D I'm not much with computers either, I just keep trying till i find what might work! LOL

I love making a new ticker!!!! Its such fun to realize I have to move my "little" BEE-hind down her track! LOL

I will gladly send you some snow (if it doesn't all melt again!). Would you like that SOTF (snow on the fly) or FIJ (frozen in a jar) LOL This is an island so I will have to throw it hard either way! LOL

Okay, tried to attach my pic..... I hope it worked!!! I had to have one of the boys take it tonight 'cause I couldn't find one!!! LOL I won't tell you how PAINFUL that was! LOL I had him take it in my cubby hole of a sewing room..... which doesn't help the larger than life effect! Don't go blind while viewing PLEASE!!!! You all need your eyes to read your diaries!!!! LOL
