OHHHHHHH THIS IS MADDENING!! I got on the scale this morning and actually GAINED 1.1 pounds!!!!

Don't Panic you have been exercizing with your Tae-bo so you could be gaining muscle. you could try replacing some of the chees with a high protein snack or meal. I love cheese as well but it is high in calories and a high protein meal will make you feel full for longer and less inclined to snack.

Cheers and good luck

All true, but I have found a brand of cheese called Laughing Cow that you can buy at the grocery store and it is low fat, low cal and cut into small cheese wedges with ea wedge 35cal. Comes flavored... Some might perfer to use it as a spread. I like to eat it with a multi grain bakery roll that I have found that is 200 cal. Together they are my breakfast.

Thanks you guys :) Trusylver, you're right about the possibility of gaining muscle. I try to remind myself of that but its SO hard to keep in mind when I expect that scale to go down and it doesn't. :( Also about the high protein meals. I found out a while ago that I am a person who functions better with higher protein than anything else, but I panick when I see the amount of fat in meat. I don't eat red meat much - less than 2 days a month- and I've been getting chickened out. I just put a bunch of salmon fillets in the fridge for the week. Heres hopin'. :D

Bailey, I have tried the Laughing Cow Wedges and they are great. I used to eat them every day, but I can't get them unless, and until, I make a trip to the "mainland" on grocery days - once a month. I used to put them on rye crackers by Ak-Mak. The crackers are thin and high fiber and yummy. Thank you for reminding me of the cheese - I had forgotten all about it.

I have to admit, I spent most of today throwing myself a pity party:rolleyes: I cranked the radio and cleaned house like a woman possessed - this includes cleaning my scale with glass cleaner! LOL Maybe if I am really nice to it then it will be really nice to me next monday! LOL:D

Hubby wanted cookies tonight. So like a good little wifey I made him his favorite - Peanut butter. I was so proud of me - I didn't even lick the spoon :) I did silently cuss at him, though, since these are MY favorite too (next to my version of white chocolate macadamia cookies). Have to admit, I am a sugar-holic as well as a dairy-holic  hmmmm imagine that.

Okay.... todays eats.....

mini whole wheat bagel
ham
1/2 apple
skim milk
miracle whip salad dressing

3 slices turkey bacon
rest of apple

sandwich on light wheat bread w/
2 chicken franks
miracle whip salad dressing and mustard
pretzel sticks
skim milk

chicken frank ( can you tell these are my new friends? LOL)
milk

green beans
fat free chicken gravy
chicken frank
skim milk

days total: 1281

I can't say as I miss those 19 calories I'm short. I'm not hungry - not FULL but definitely not hungry. I think those calories are being inhaled through my nostrils as the cookies are baking anyway. LOL

Exercise today....
tae-bo @ 6:30 and again at 10:30 (part of my pity party. LOL)

I looovvvveee Laughing cow cheese!! I went to Costco and got three things of em for 5 bucks!!
Trus right- If your gaining muscle, it'll add a little weight, but ya should keep track of inches to- that way even if you feel like you HAVEN"T accomplished something, you can prove yourself wrong :)

I forgot all about tracking inches, thanks for reminding me Jess :)

Oh, what a day.... Hubby home all day and another sick kid... I still managed not to go insane! LOL  Actually, I did pretty good... I even got some laundry and dishes done after working for my business. I still don't know how I did that... Hitting the hay early though - I am absolutely bushed!

Todays eats...

2 light wheat toast
Peanut butter
Raspberry preserves
cottage cheese
skim milk

chicken frank

2 light wheat bread
2 chicken franks
miracle whip salad dressing
skim milk
3 c light butter popcorn

3 slc turkey bacon
2 c popcorn

2 pc regular bacon ( if that's as bad as i get, i'll take it)
salmon w/ salt free chili seasonings
roasted zuchinni
light sour cream / dill weed

total calories: 1262 :D

Exercise for the day.....

tae - bo @ 9:30 am and again at noon :D

Hey! I've just been catching up on your diary. Your food and exercise is looking really good. So sorry you gained a pound even though it looks like you are doing so well. Don't get discouraged. It will get better. Sometimes your metabolism just needs a kick-start.

My son (going to be 13 next month  ) is also taking concerta. It doesn't act as an appetite suppressant for him though. He eats more than I do. He is still skinny though. Not too bad, he is a good weight for his height, finally. He used to take adderall, and that one made him not want to eat. He was only about 72 pounds and has always been pretty tall for his age. He had to drink two pediasures a day for the extra calories.

Good luck, and I'll try to stop in to check on you sometimes. :)

I love your quote, its soo good :)
Have you tried turkey bacon?? Its actually really yummy, and has 35 cals a piece.
I started taebo a long time ago, but I always got tired in the middle and just sat down and watched billy go :) hes fun to watch lol

:D Hi Hypo Hippo and Jess, thanks for the comeback :) It makes my morning when I see somebody actually sees this and it keeps me on track for the day. Hey, if I'm the only one to see this it won't embarrass me enough to stay on the straight and narrow, right? LOL

HH,thank you for stopping in! After I threw a pity party I felt much better! LOL I think my metabolism needs a double battery jump start most days! But I try. As for the conerta.. Get this, the boys doctor told me I should "take them to Burger King or Mc Donalds more often". Uh, not!!! I give them each a half of a slim fast meal replacement bar with their lunch and/or 1/2 of a slim fast shake with their breakfast. I figure its 100 extra calories each time they get one of those, they seem to like them, and it's healthier than the DOCTORS "suggestion". I am free with their snacks as long as they are sugar free and not chuck full of fat - i don't want them to get high cholesterol or something just because they need to gain weight! The boys are each around 4.5 feet and 60 pounds. THey have to gain 5 pounds each by march or go off meds... the way they eat at night, I don't think that'll be a problem! LOL

Jess, hello again! :D I have tried turkey bacon - had it for breakfast actually:) I love it, but hubby doesn't so when he wants BLT's, etc. I have to make the real stuff - and last night I couldn't resist it. :( Every time the fat sizzled in the pan I heard it call my name and had to put it out of its misery. Only ate two pieces though, when I would've eaten half of the package before. Tae-bo is tons of fun!!! I find I do better with a fast paced work out. I have 3 dvd's - different ones - but I always turn to my tae-bo vhs! LOL I still use the "basic" tape ( I told myself Icannot upgrade until I can do an hour continuously of basic b/c the next tape is faster and longer). The first week I did this tape, I thought I was gonna die by the middle of the tape! LOL Now I can do the whole thing through to the end (roughly 30 minutes) - I still feel like I could die by the end. I wait about 3 hours and do it again, now. I want to get to an hour by the end of February. It took me a long time to get to where I could do it all once, let alone twice! :) As hard as it is I wouldn't trade it- I love the challenge and Billy is so..... well, he "pushes" me beyond my comfort bubble but not to my STOP! IT HURTS! point. LOL

Will be back later to post eats and exercise for the day. No school today and babysitting to toddlers this afternoon. That otta be fun - not! LOL

BTW, jess, I ran across my quote when I was helping with a homework assignment and loved it. I copied that little bugger and wah-la. I can see it every day to remind me ....

okay, after a hectic, kid filled day... Here are my eats.

2 light wheat toast
PB
honey
cottage cheese
skim milk
turkey bacon

chicken frank

tuna noodle casserole

chicken frank

2 chicken franks
4 oz whole milk :( (out of my milk - again)
1/2 C sliced beets

exercise today - none  house was too full of kids so no room/ time. I forgot how much work little kids are - mine are ten and they haven't needed this kind of attention for years!!!! LOL

Here's hopin' tomorrow is back on track - if school is closed tomorrow I'll pull out all my hair!

Hey there! Your food looks great. I bet you burn lots of calories in that busy household of yours. How do you like turkey bacon? I tried it before and didn't care for it. Turkey sausage is so good though.
Tuna noodle casserole is one of my favorites. Yumm. Keep up the good work and that scale will start to move down! It has to. Have a great day!

Hi MJB :) Thanks for stoppin' in :) I like turkey bacon all right, but it still can't beat the real thing :( I eat it 'cause I miss bacon but don't want to have all that fat and calories stare me in the face when I try to eat it  Also, for some reason I can only eat 3 pieces of it and then my body automatically "shuts off" the good flavor and I start to feel awful. Anything with an automatic off switch is a good thing for me. Turkey sausages are something I haven't tried - I'll have to keep my eye out for them and give them a shot.

As for the busy household - you ain't kiddin'! With two home businesses, two kids (and babysitting on occassion), and a menagerie of animals, I have to stay hoppin' just to get everything done in a day. I have to admit, though, there are some days I don't do a darn thing except cook dinner :D I have to take a day like that sometimes or I get wayyyyy too crabby. I tend to get that way when I get too overwhelmed. Right now, Hubby thinks my "weight thing" is taking up most of my time. Well, tough tootsies. This time I put me first instead of worrying if he has enough ice cream or cookies to go him the night! I wonder what he'd think if I went on strike....... never mind. BAD idea! Hubby "doesn't do dishes" he throws them away. If I went on strike I wouldn't have any dished left  LOL

Gotta run for now, will be back later tonight to post eats, etc :)

hehe. You sound like a busy lady! You have to give the turkey sausage a try. It's soo good. Also, there are Boca breakfast links which are really good. Meatless. I dont know if I just cooked my turkey bacon wrong or not, but it was like cardboard. I could barely choke it down.

I hear you about going on strike. I can't imagine ever getting married and raising kids. I'd never get any peace. I'm thirty and still no desire. The thought of cleaning up after a man really messes with me. I keep thinking that I'll marry a man who won't have me do any chores that he can pay a housekeeper to do. A girl can dream, eh? haha Seriously though, being a homemaker is no joke. I admire you for it. Plus your a mom and run two businesses? geez. You're a machine.

I just noticed your ticker! Your goal is 117? Wow! Holy moly! How tall are you? I would be boney at that weight, but dang, I bet I'd look good. hehe

Hey Miss Jelly, Thanks! I needed that chuckle!! :D
Believe it or not, I nuke my turkey bacon. I put my slices on a microwave safe rack, put a paper towel under it and another over it (protects microwave from nasty splatters), and nuke for 1min 30 sec ( a 1000 watt micro). It still takes some chewin' LOL but I can atleast tolerate it! :)

You're gonna love this - I actually like taking care of my family. I have my "off" days where I just couldn't give a hoot one way or another, but mostly I really like it. I grew up taking care of my younger siblings and ( I can't believe I'm gonna say this) I missed it when I moved out at 17. LOL I have always wanted a lot of kids but my husband is sterile and won't adopt (the twins are his step- children but he's more of a father to them then my ex ever was). As for running two businesses, well, it's easy when it's something you love to do. One is quilting and other sewn items, and the other is house painting. They are a blast!

LOL 117 is actually toward the "heavy" end of my range. I am a stumpy 5'1.5" but I like to call myself 5'2" to feel taller  I can go as low 105 safely. I am being realistic though, there is no way I will ever get back down to that. I was 102 in high school, but was anorexic so I will NEVER try to get that low again. If it happens with what I am doing now, great, if not I won't lose sleep over it. As long as I can hit my goal weight, I won't complain. My sister is taller than me, has had 2 kids, eats a whole medium pizza by herself, and still weighs only 98 pounds! She is a sack of bones - her hip bones look like they are gonna bust right through her skin. I worry about her, but she eats like a linebacker and isn't afraid to eat all day long. She is the only "lucky" one in my family. The rest of us, well, we tell her she was the postman's daughter, but they had to put her up for adoption since she kept getting confused with the mailbox posts. She can't stand that, but if you could see the rest of us you may just agree! LOL

OH! Forgot! I was so proud of me today! I switched to my tae-bo advanced tape - it's a 57 min. tape. Yeah, well, I made a deal with myself that I could stop after 20 minutes IF i needed to. I made it 25! Well, I looked like an elephant trying to tap dance and I thought I was gonna die, but at least I did it. It is super fast and v. high impact ( you don't march between sets - you run!) but it is a blast! I absolutely love it!

Okay - enough chapters for the day! LOL:D

I was just haven a look through your diary BizeB and it sounds like you got it going on girl. I hope your having a wonderful week.

Hi Trusylver and Rosered, thanks for stoppin' in :) I find that keeping this diary and reading others keeps me focused on my goals, Rosered. It helps alot that I can pop in when I feel like I am losing it ;) The problem I have had in the past is loss of focus and I end up sabotaging myself just when I start to do really well. Oh, well, learn from your mistakes and start out again :D

Hubby wants me to be an extra hand today for the painting business. Looks like I'll be crawling around filling holes for three or four hours. Hopefully, I can still squeeze in a tae-bo session before he and the kids walk in. Heck, the way he goes, I'll be lucky to have time to eat my snack! LOL I Like doing it, though so it balances :) I can always munch on the 5 minute drive home - okay its 10 minutes. :)

Will be back later to post eats and exercise - and to read. I have to get my daily dose :D I think I may go into withdrawals w/o y'all for a day! LOL

Good Mornin BizeB

Im taking a look at your foods and exercise, and whenever your next weigh in is, I am sure you are going to see some results. You are doin' everything perfect! Im 5'2'and 3/4, so I just take five three! My 16 yr old daughter is a whole 102 pounds, but shes just barely five feet. How oh HOW did it happen that alll the girls and women are short and allll the men are tall and thin?? My sister and I have always hated our brothers for being over six feet and slender. Jerks. :D

Keep pushing through your day, and there is just no choice but for you to see that scale move. Betcha you are feeling better already, right? I know I sure do.

Hi Kate :D My weigh day is monday and I swear if that scale doesn't move I will murder the closest person/thing to me! :D I have tried real hard to keep with it but this evening was a definite struggle! I went grocery shopping for the first time in about 3 months. Right next to the grocery store is a Burger King and a Mc D's.... Well, they are about a mile away, but their smells carried over to the parking lot.... I haven't had a burger or fries for .... man, since before thanksgiving!!! UGH! I was good though - I sniffed and salivated but did not go there :D :D

I really do feel better than I did. I have to keep reminding myself of that when I get on that scale and get frustrated or when I can't eat what my eating machines are eating.... Oh, well, I want to lose weight more than I want their steaks and pizzas! :D

Tired today. Worked with DH for three hours crawling around filling holes - still sore from yesterdays workout so that was fun  I went to get one of the kids prescriptions (about 40 miles). When I got home, I snuck in a 20 minute taebo session and then went grocery shopping around 5. I got home at 8 (store is 40 miles) and cooked a dinner for DH and nuked a "diet" pizza for me :D Jeez. I'm gonna go to bed early - 10pm LOL

Okay, todays saga has come to an end

todays eats.....

turkey bacon
light wheat toast
rasp preserves
milk

chicken frank

slimfast optima shake (on the go)
Fat free yogurt
chicken frank

chicken frank (my dependable little meat)

south beach diet pizza

exercise......
tae-bo advance 20 minutes

lets see how tomorrow goes..... :D

I hear ya about the smell of McD's and BK. Just thinking about it I feel greasy. Careful... a few too many whiffs and your arteries start to clog.
Keep up your hard work and I'm sure the scale will move downward!
Totallyscrappy

Hey, there Scrappy!! LOL You are correct about those whiffs!! I think I gained 10 pounds just sniffing!!! Man oh man... I didn't really have a problem turning foods down, but I seriously considered poppin' on over to grab a burger and fries!! BUT I DIDN'T :D :D

Will be back later to post eats - had to work with hubby today (and again tomorrow). I am beat. This chicks takin' a nap!! LOL See y'all later :D
