Awww EazyE... we'll be your buddy. I'm Jessica. What made you pick EazyE for your handle? Is it from the singer/rapper? I like that song Gimme That Nut...lol. It's cheesy and dirty but the beat is catchy. I like to work out to upbeat music. When i'm working out the beat is very important. It's what gets me going.

The college is a really good price. I've been thinking about it and I think if I can talk someone into doing it with me I should be able to do it. That way I won't be all alone. I'm such a baby...lol. I might be able to talk my mom into it.

I've been doing really well the last few days. I'm getting ready to go work out here real soon... then i'm off to class. I'm going to my college where i'm much more comfortable. All kinds of people go there. To bad it's 40 minutes away.

Wow, i wasnt expecting you to know who EazyE is. Well, i should say was, he has been dead 11 years lol. But yea thats why i chose the handle, because i love his music.
So how much weight have you lost so far and how much do you want to lose?
Also, what exercises do you do a day? And could you take me thru your whole diet plan lol i'd just like to compare it to mine. (i dont actually have one but i can remember the things i eat in a day)

P.S. You are a little bit lighter than me lol. I went into town and weighed myself on those decent scales. Before i did it i had had some corn on the cob for lunch and drank 2 litres of water. I was also wearing trainers, cargo trousers (pants, if you are American lol) and a shirt. It said im 13 stone 9, im not sure how much difference that water, corn and clothes made but i would guess im 13 stone 8. Anyway next time i get weighed i'll wear the same clothes to make it fair.

How is everyone else doing today? If you didn't read in my diary, I had a horrible day yesterday, was really depressed and I allowed myself to eat emotional comfort food. bleh. Went to bed feeling absolutely horrible. Weighed this morning and I show the exact same weight as last week. Haven't gained or lost a single pound. :( Seems so disappointing, given all the water I drank this week + the fact that, even if I wasn't eating TOTALLY healthy, I was still eating healthier than usual.

Oh well...I made a pact with myself yesterday that today I am not allowed ANY junk food, none at all! So far, I've stuck to it. I hope I can make it the whole day. Then tonight I will make another pact with myself for tomorrow. :) One day at a time...seems less daunting than swearing off junk food eternally. haha

welcome EazyE, so how does 13 stone translate into lbs? and congrats on the weight loss so far! as you can see I havn't lost anything yet.... BUT I weigh in tomorrow so we'll see how my first official week went *crosses fingers*...
Monica don't beat yourself up about having a bad day, I do the same thing! you just have to allow yourself to indulge in a treat every once in awhile or you'll over do it when you cave in and have something you think your not suppose to, like I do. I also think that if you had such a bad day with the junk food than when you weighed yourself this morning It wont be accurate because of the food you ate the day before. just drink alot more water today think positive and weigh again tomorrow...
I dont have any IM's I'm worried about viruses and hackers... I know paranoid =)
I did pretty well yesterday too so I'm on the road to better health I guess. I always start out great then sssliiiiide down hill FAST. BUT I have faith this one will work. hope everyones having a great day!

can i join this buddy group too! i need some inspiration as well :)....and i would love to help everyone too. i really need to start writing down everything i eat because this last week i didnt lose anything and it is real frustrating :mad: ......because i workout like 4-5 days a week and have been eating pretty good (i think) and no lbs came off!! the first 4 days of the diet i lost 3.5 lbs though! how about everyone else, how is everyone doing?? what day does everyone weigh themselves? maybe we can set up a day where we all do and can report in how we did for the week?

13 stone, 14 pounds in one stone so its 13 X 14 = 182 lb + 9 lb = 191 lb (my current weight). I should be about 177 lb. I want muscley arms though, cant get any advice on how to do that.
 
Hello everyone. I have been and probably will be a little busy with school for a few days so I don't know how much i'll be able to post. I'm still doing really well with my eating. Doesn't show on the scale but I could be building muscle seeing how i'm working out.

Monica, I know what it's like to work so hard and not lose a thing. It sucks! It will happen though. You just have to give it time. Don't give up!

I weigh myself everyday :eek: but I have 2 "official" days. I weigh in on Monday for the 6 week challenge, and for Weight Watchers, and I weigh in on Friday for the Halloween challenge. It's tough to keep track sometimes!

Keeping a record of what you eat is a great idea. Sometimes you don't realize just how much you are taking in until it's there in black and white.

I have had my days where I've done that Monica...as you have read in my diary......The way I usually handle things now is that any time I start to feel stressed or upset I go to the gym and work it out...but over the last couple of days it had not been possible due to my work schedule, so I'm getting back into it now.

Did you guys have a moment when you knew you really had to tackle weight loss head on and make that concerted effort?

For me, it was when I did my fit test when I joined this gym as a member and I weighed in at 231 lbs (me thinking I was somewhere closer to what I am now at 211 last I checked...I'm going to go weigh myself now...) and the fit tester told me that I had 109 lbs of fat on my body....that is my youngest cousin (at 100 lbs) plus nine pounds, just on me. It made me realize that with everything health wise in my family that I really needed to get in shape and eat right. It was my kickstart.

I've lost 4lbs!!! what a great motivational tool, I'm so pumped now!:p
I weigh in on fridays, because thats the day I started. I think it helps to ignore the scale during the week, because I get depressed or upset and sidetracked if the scale doesn't say what I want it to. try putting it under the cabinet in the bathroom, or up in the cupboard during the week so its out of sight outta mind. also make sure you stretch, use the restroom and wait to eat, before you weigh, it actually helps!

Are you feeling better SaraMarie? are you feeling less stressed, it sounds like your doing better than you were the other day.:D

What do you all think about maybe each of us posting a little bit about ourselves to make it easier for all of us to get to know everyone? We should all try to put something in there that is so interesting that nobody will forget us. That is if you got anything interesting :) Just something strange about ya or a funny story or something. Does it sound good?

Sara, Yes I too had one of those. My moment was just spread out over a couple of months though. Most of my adult life I was around 285. I still remember the day that I hit the 300 mark. I had a horrible cold and wanted to go to the doctor but I knew they would weigh me and I know people that work there.... I refused to go! I started to become depressed and then at 305 pounds I "WOKE UP!" That is exactly what I think happened, I "WOKE UP". I believe everyone has a breaking point. A weight where once you hit it, you'll never be the same. A number that wakes you up. Not everybody waits until they hit their number, but I did. 300 pounds was a life changing number for me. I hate that I had to fall so low in order to have the modivation to pick myself back up, but I did pull myself back up and thats all that really matters. I am so glad your guys number isn't as high as mine was.

I realized that I lied about my yahoo handle...lol. It's not the same, it's spelt different. It's in my profile anyway. Sorry about that.

EazyE, yeah I kind of know who EazyE is. I don't know what he looks like and I don't have much of his music but I do have some. I might just have to look it up though :)

I think I am going to take measurements of myself today. I've been working out and eating well and i'm still not losing. I'm wondering if i'm gaining muscle. It does seem like my tummy is a little smaller and maybe toner. (I almost have to laugh when I say "toner" cuz after losing 120 pounds I am soooo far from tone, if you can imagin....lol.) I could kick myself in the butt for not working out the whole time.

Yesterday, I ate a salad, a half a grilled chicken sandwhich and a yogurt. Of course that was spread out all day long. Does that seem like enough food? I sometimes wonder if maybe i'm not getting enough food and thats why i'm not losing.

I dont think what you ate was enough. Its pretty stupid how you have to eat to lose weight. I usually have between 1100-1600 calories, but i excercise a lot and im still going thru adolescence.

I think it may be that your not eating enough, I know that when your trying to lose weight it seems backwards that we need to eat more to lose! BUT if you think about it, the more fruits and veggies you eat (low to no calories) they fill you up so your eating less of the bad calories that add up. try snacking on small meals every couple hours, not big meals or higher calorie foods(I'm not assuming you don't know this, I'm just trying to explain) lol.... do you like applesauce? pumpkin? well one of my favorite in-between snacks is 100% no sugar added applesauce with 100% canned pumpkin(not the pie filling) I add a little pumpkin to the applesauce with some cinnamon and pumpkin pie spices. YUMM!! it has the vitamins you need from the applesauce and the fiber and nutrients from the pumpkin. I love it.
I also posted on another thread about cottage cheese, that I like to eat my yogurt with cottage cheese. cut both portions in half throw some canned peaches(in pear juice)drained ontop with a little wheat germ or granola and Voila'! great snack and really good for you.
how are you doing on cutting back on the caffiene?
