Brag on

Bye Bye 200

Congratulations to Adam, aka Deep Green, on breaking the 200 barrier! Great work!!! :beerchug:

I reckon anyone whos lost more than 30lb clearly has the stickability to go the whole hog way and needs a pat on the back.
10-20lb is okay, but 30lb+ is most definatly somebody whos put the effort in and picked up the boxing gloves ready to fight.

i have lost 90lbs and started off as morbidly obese. today i am just scraping in as a healthy weight :D:D:D:D. still want to lose a bit more, but imo here`s where the hard work starts. dont think i could have done it without the support of you guys and this forum, cheers, slim
i have lost 40.54% of my original weight

Lost 20 pounds the first 30 days

I am so happy that I have lost 20 pounds in 30 days. I have not been starving myself or been very hungry. My low carb diet with lots of vegetables and fruit is certainly working. I am also beginning to feel more motivated to begin exercising again. Reading how well all of you are doing here certainly helps me keep focusing on my goals and hang on tight to my hope of being able to run again. :)
I still have a long journey ahead of me. :jump:

I just have to brag on myself because i'm kinda new at this whole working out thing. But I joined a gym about 2 weeks ago cuz working out on my own was really not working for me. Anyway in the first 2 weeks I was there I'd get on the eliptical machine and run on there for about 25 minutes and i'd barely complete 2 miles, well today, after taking the weekend off cuz I wasn't feeling well I forced myself to get off my butt and go work out, and when I got on the eliptical machine to do my 25 minutes of cardio on there I didn't have a specific goal or anything, and I didn't even pay close attention to how far I was going or how many calories I burned like I normally do, but I did push myself to work a little harder cuz I hadn't worked out all weekend, well heres the part of the long winded bragging, I looked at the screen 2 times before the end of my workout once at 9minutes, and then at 20 minutes cuz it changed me to a cool down and it flashed on the screen, well when I looked at it at 9 minutes I had completed 1.65 miles :D:D:D where it normally takes me 12-14 minutes to get 1 mile, and when I looked at it at the 20 minute mark I was at 3.10 miles, in 20 whole minutes...so i'm really excited for myself!! and I had to share with someone!!

Great job for #1 making yourself go back to the gym even though you didn't feel like it -that's so key in making this work! - and #2 for building up your strength & endurance without even realizing it!! Great job!!

I'm going to brag a bit about myself.

Well, tomorrow marks the one month since I decided to get serious and start working my butt off. And since i started recording everything i've been doing.
I have been losing 1-4 pounds every week, and i'm really proud of that. I haven't given up yet, although, as expected, i've had a few slips!
18 pounds later, i've never felt better about myself for what i've done. I'm ready to make it to 30 pounds, and i'm ready to meet the goals i've made.:)
I'm only a few pounds away from breaking the 200s, and i'm pretty excited as silly as that sounds.
I'm joining dance again, i'm going to start going to the gym and taking yoga, and i'm looking forward to the future for the first time.

I feel like i'm the strong person I always wanted to be.

Aw, shit. I think I'm going to cry. (Didn't I say that last time?) I returned this pair of gray Dockers last night because I knew I wouldn't wear them. They were the wrong color, sort of a gray-green. Well, I stupidly lost my receipt, so I had to exchange them. They were 14s, medium lenth. So I just said to hell with it and decided to go ahead and exchange them for some size 12s. This morning I decided to try on the new pants, just to see if I could get them over my butt, and voila, to my surprise I could get them all the way up and fastened. They're a bit snug, but I know in two more weeks they'll fit me the way they're supposed to. Hot damn! I am movin' right along. I know I will be in 10s by January 1st at this rate. I f-ing rule.

Mal: Thanks!!!!

Also, have you ever done a survey to see how many regular posters consider themselves republicans? I saw some mention of your political standing somewhere on the board (the post made me chuckle) and upon reading it I wondered how many other non-liberals there are lurking around the message board. (I work with this woman, whom I generally like, but we just cannot talk politics because I always end up shit-talking the Clintons and then she gets angry and defensive.)

I think I'm probably in the minority :)

I've argued politics on various boards over the years and the only thing that causes me to get really irked -- is people who confuse republicans with the christian right... Huge difference.. :)

I'm going to brag some more. I bought a new bra today because my other bras aren't fitting me.

And, *drum roll*, I'm down to a 36C. Thank goodness for this. I went from a 40D (ew!) to a 36C. Hopefully I won't drop below a C, even as i lose more weight. Anyway, yessssss!

I also bought myself a cute sweater dress, which I intend to wear with black tights on Tuesday.

I can already tell this losing weight will not be good for my pockets because I'm already starting to freak out about clothes.

oh that's awesome -I really wish my cup size would drop - hasn't happened yet :( way to go for the double braggage today -you're earning it :)

!!!

I am officially a size 12. Oh my! Holy %$!@*!!!! I have tried on 12s from Dockers, The Gap, Banana Republic, Levi's, Target, and DKNY and I fit in all of them. I settled on some modestly priced jeans from Target. I will buy myself some wicked nice/expensive jeans when I reach goal.

I continue to rule!

Thanks, Mal. We have those places here, but I'm generally not in the mood to dig. Though now that I'm a smaller size, I might be willing to do that. (It sucks to walk into a store like that, head to the size 16s, and then find only 2 pair of really ugly pants in that section. Ya know?)
