I don't think I posted on this thread before but I have to say....

I am in a size 14 pants! Down from my highest size of 24...blech!
Shirt size is Large down from xxxl or 22/24. I even had a couple that were 26/28...double blech!

It feels great to shop anywhere(ok I will never be able to shop at Petite Sophisticate...but I am OK with that).

Great job on everyone's brags!

Way to go Cathy, congratulations so far. I understand how difficult it is when you live near Chicago. The city has such great food! GL to ya.
 
My big brag is that this morning i got up before 5 am, to meet my new trainer at the gym for 6am. We worked hard for one hour and then i went to work after. That was a big step for me towards living a healthier lifestyle and losing weight, so im really proud of myself.

good job Brazenly, its hard but it gets easier. I used to do the early morning thing because it was the only time i could do it without kids or husband. It DOES get easier though, and it works because you dont have time to talk yourself out of it :D
 
Very true wishes, i dont think i was awake enough to talk myself out of it, until i was on the stationary bike..lol. It was hard, but well worth it, and im looking forward to it just becoming second nature. You look awesome btw.

Well I went from 242lbs down to my goal of 189, and though it's definitely made a massive difference, it's still not what I want, so I set a new goal of 154. That was 2 weeks ago, I'm down to 182 now. It's hard to stay motivated for so long, but the thing that keeps me at it is that I know it's not a matter of IF I'll hit my target, it's WHEN. :)

Ive been on a diet n exercise for awhile, n i lose weight but its nto major n no one ever notices... :(

Theres no 'Fast' way to really loose weight. Theres only one way to loose weight, eat less calories than you use. The average person uses 2000-2500 or so just being alive, plus any exercise. a fat person uses more. signup at fitday.com or something and track what you eat and what you use. There are plenty of Sticky threads under Newcomers threads that explain it better.

Fast is relative... I wouldn't call my progress fast... it's consistency that is what leads to results.. no magic, no tricks, just being consistent and the weight eventually comes off
 
When you think of weight loss, think of the tortoise and the hare story. The tortoise being a slow consistent and healthy diet, and the hare being a fad diet.

i think he stopped for cocktails and to get a little 'tail ... :D
