I suggest you try and have a little bit of everything, or at least don´t focus on just one thing. If only to fend off boredom. About nuts: soaking them overnight will make them a lot softer, though if you have dental issues I don´t know if they´ll be soft enough because when I soak nuts it´s normally just to make them easier to purée.

is there a reason for needing everything to be soft ? are you a type 1 or type 2 diabetic ?

going to be getting 3 more teeth out
and thats going to finish off any bottom
teeth and 1 less on top on the same side
leaving a few left each on each side on top

im type 2 on insulin
tried several meds
bad side effects and low to 0
control

these 2 things makes it hard
and when those 3 come out
well... harder still

can i make natural pb taste better?
add something?

cant figure out how to get my answer out of the quote

can i make natural pb taste better?
add something?

decision making list of pros and cons
for new diet change taking place next month
(not by choice)

soft food diet will be required ongoing and
still going with the one meal a day

do i still eat meat? crockpot cook it?
pros-- it has more protein and can be crockpot cooked to be softer
cons-- cost more for the meat and the recipes have alot of ingredients
which are costly and most of which i dont already have
do i eat nuts instead? how do i make them softer?
peanut butter is hydrogenated and the natural tastes awful- all cons
do i eat beans instead?
pros-- already soft and can be mashed to be softer and are cheap
cons-- high in sugar and will require alot of insulin use which
also risks hypos due to errors in insulin doses
do i just eat fruits and cooked veggies?
pros-- berries are soft and can be mashed to be softer and
veggies can be cooked soft
cons-- cost alot and require insulin use(fruits) and the
cooked veggies lose nutrients being cooked and i hate them
yogurt, pudding, cottage cheese?
pros-- are already soft and all taste good
cons--will require alot of insulin use and i will be in the
bathroom alot and usually high in sugar
hard cheeses like cheddar?
pros-- taste good and cheap and have protein and fat and can be
chopped smaller
cons-- too much will NOT allow bathroom trips
and then there's all the soft processed canned foods
full of salt, sugar, preservatives, artificial flavors and colours,
and calories
yikes!!

wow seems like a huge decision to decide what to eat
that will be soft, cheap, healthy, support good blood sugar,
not require alot of preparation and ingredients.
geesh maybe i shouldnt have put it all down on paper
like this.

been thinking about the beans
it would be a much cheaper meal
being that i can get a can for 50 cents
maybe have them with 2 boiled eggs?
also it may help serve as a sweet food too
like a dessert maybe- later not craving the bad sweets

and the crockpot recipes are a bit onto dangerous ground for me
the large quantities present extra food tempting a binge or
overeating
i know about the freezing it in portions
but embarassingly most of it doesnt get there

i will keep thinking

I hear you on having trouble dividing large quantities of delicious food into sensible portions and sticking to those portions. Been there.
Beans... are great. You can puree them, keep them whole, add a bit of salsa, fried onions or other veggies, and/or some ground spices... Lots of options! I eat beans pretty much every day but I try to do something different with them every time so I don´t get bored and end up eating something completely different because of it. Always make sure to add some fat to them (in the form of oil, butter, nuts, avocado... whatever suits you).

bacon cooked soft and chopped in tiny tiny pieces?

well i bought peanut butter anyway
after looking to see what and why
hydrogenation is bad
and it didnt scare me
also i wouldnt eat much anyway to
worry about
so that solves the nuts problem for me
because pb is soft
and i went for the beans and bought bacon to add
i really want to still eat meats as they seem to be rated
higher in protein
so i have to do more figuring on that
like getting it softer but
eggs are no problem

that doesnt leave alot of variety tho
may have to give in and get some canned
soups
idk yet
i have some time still before i absolutely
need to do the switch totally

dont want to really do the food diary post for today
but here goes

300 grams white oreo cookies
6 lemon tarts

bad

legs too sore from night time cramps
to do any exercise

You get to be proud of doing it anyway. Hiding away doesn´t solve anything, so well done facing your problems!
Bacon bits in beans sound nice. They won´t add a ton of protein but lots of taste and a good bit of fat. Homemade baked beans are delicious as well, by the way, and would mean you´ve got some soft veggies in there.

i'd love to make home made beans
with less sugar and none of the weird
things being added
but then im back to the none getting stored
away til later
maybe someday

3 cups chickpea salad 720

very very bloated
wish i hadnt have ate.

but i did get 5 minutes bike in.

idk how i will ever get any leslie
walks in?
im so tired or sore i barely
get my bike in.

i did buy some foods that
are 2 cups total for the whole
package.
maybe i wont get so bloated with
just 2 cups.
i used to eat 2 cups
but could not find foods that
were approx. 600 calories a cup
so to end up with 1200 cals. total
but this way is too much and bloating causing
that it looks like i have to go back to 2 cups
and if its not 600 each i guess it cant be helped.
its feel bloated to have enough calories
or feel lighter and not hurting with less calories.

Do you have the possibility of eating two cups and adding a third if you feel like a binge might be coming on? Bloat is at least better than binging, I think? And maybe you could add some blitzed up nuts if your two cups are very low-calorie. For someone who has such varied food issues as you do I don´t think it´s helpful to ride around on specifics too much but I am afraid that going too low-calorie might trigger binging. You´re the boss of you though, it´s all about finding something that works for YOU.

8 minutes cycling

chicken 350
blueberries 194
bacon 200
mini bag chips 150
ravioli 320
beefaroni 425
1639

sometimes i wonder what i'm doing.
why am i doing the same things over
and over again for so many years
and getting the same results but
expecting different ones?
haven't i learned yet?

That right there looks like quite a pleasant, sustainable day of eating. Well done!
In your place I might not go over 5 minutes of biking yet unless your legs have got used to them and it doesn't make them hurt.

1 cup beef and 1/4 cup beef gravy 400
250 grams chicken 350
2 eggs 144
2 small bags doritos 320
peameal (from family)?

not sure of the total count
but surely plenty

did a bad thing the beefaroni and ravioli night
a few nights ago
something i do over and over again
and keep thinking i can change it but cant
yet

i had maybe 6 more cans plus the 4 cans of beans
and i felt a binge coming
so i threw them all away
so i couldnt binge on them

i keep buying food thinking i can "handle" it
ive had my food for most of this month bought
2 times
but either did binges or threw it out
i had it bought way back when i reported binges
and just recently but threw it out
this is horrible behaviour and i know

so this time i have to stick to my decision that i
make over and over again-- that nothing extra comes in here

i do have the peanut butter still
its not a tempting binge food
and i'd just bring those foods in
but there isnt many

ok so now that very embarassing "confession" is done
whew

debating on if i should hit the post reply button
it kind of freaks me out sharing this stuff publicly
ok well i guess here it goes
