i wish i could do my bike
it took so long to get to
the 15 minutes i was finally at

and walking is easier but hot months
cause my feet and legs to swell so
bad i cant get any shoes on but huge
crocs but i cant walk in those
or the swollen feet

that's one reason why my choice of
indoor cycling
i used to cycle outdoors until
i got um too disorientated to be safe
with traffic and such

sept is going to take so long to get here
but maybe it can be sooner
i can always hope

i never knew i'd ever miss exercising
even if it isnt very long at a time
 
I always marvel how people can get through the day with so little water. I'm thirsty all the bloody time so if I'm at home or at work (near a tap) I'll drink 4 liters without even thinking about it.

I'm glad walking is getting easier at least. Having swollen feet/legs is SO unpleasant - I'll voluntarily wear elasticated stockings at work in hot weather when I know I'll otherwise swell up. Let's have September a month early this year.

havent been able to track my food
people coming and going
different foods brought at different times

i will be as soon as it settles down
 
i'm having trouble understanding why
my family ridicule my food choices
(im not referring to the unhealthy ones
or binge choices)
but choices i make that improve my health
conditions
such as less carbs or more vegetables,
0 fruits and so on
is it because my choices are different
from "normal" food choices
and if they improve certain health
conditions what is wrong with those choices?
(if these different choices dont cause other problems)
this ridicule causes alot of food hiding, eating alone and
feeling shamed
 
a separate issue from my previous post

i recently was able to discontinue my 2 insulins
and was doing well with a strict diet and very good numbers
and had a very proper appetite (lost that endless hunger)
and i was so happy not to be so hungry
then
when i saw one of the presurgery drs
it came out that im not using the insulins
and she wants me back on them
and said im still not allowed to exercise

so the point being that im eating and eating
totally lost control
and i dont know what to do
 
It must feel like you are being dragged from pillar to post. Please don't lose control of your food intake. Cutting down carbs & eating more vegetables just makes sense. I couldn't not eat fruit though.
Deciding to stop taking insulin sounds a little dangerous to me, but I'm not a diabetes expert.

:iagree: with everything Cate said. And I can see it must be so disappointing to hear you still need your insulin and can't exercise yet! Sadly: eating out of control will only make that worse :(
 
because i hate having to take insulin
and they say i should eat 200 plus carbs.
and i hate them too--
i end up thinking ok if i have to use insulin
and eat all those carbs i may as well
eat yummy (bad) foods and take the needles
for that if i have to anyway i am going to
enjoy the darn food and have the needles worth
taking
likely thats bad thinking because the food i would
eat wouldnt be nutritious but i would be taking
my needles
and thats what happened today
 
todays food--

12 cups water
4- 100 grams chocolate bars
1 slice pizza
big chunk of some sort of dessert bars
1/2 assorted meat sub (6 inches)
i dont remember if i ate more than that

and an insulin amount i cant even count
to support all that
and im too distressed to even measure
my blood sugar
 
Complex carbs are healthy, nutrituous things, unlike sugar. Not saying I don't like the taste of chocolate but potatoes, brown rice, beetroot, green peas, and wholegrain pasta are pretty amazing as well! More importantly: please measure your insulin levels no matter what you've been eating. Facing the needles may be tough, but going blind over time or losing sensation in your feet is tougher.

family made stuffed pepper (ground beef rice and tomatoes)
2 bagged salads 800 (the ones with the dressing, seeds and\or croutons and cheeses)
5 soda crackers
 
today was the funeral thing from the death
of the 23rd

my food today-
2 coffees with cream
4 cheese slices the size and thickness of a soda cracker
1 roast beef wrap
2 half bun sandwiches
an unknown amount of hickory sticks
250 grams of a chocolate coconut marshmallow cookie
10 cups water
