bluehats diary

why am i trying to lose weight?
i have lost lots before.
i have never been successful
in keeping it off.
im not even trying for a
stupidly low weight or even the
'proper' weight for my height.
all im asking for is to weigh 200
but im stuck in the 250s.
how would i ever get to a weight
ive never weighed in my life
even as a thin teen?( my lowest ever
as a teen was 140 and i was thin)
how in the world are the bmi charts right?
i would have to weigh less than 140
for my height of 5 2.
it would take so much to get there
id be dead first.
i have no idea what to have as a
weight goal as i reach them and
gain it and more back.
i dont want to be heavier- i want to be lighter.
how can a person lose weight
if it all comes back again?
and yes ive even tried slow and
gradual.
i do take 2 meds that interfere and i
have tried to not use them but the
conditions get worse.
im lost
whats a person supposed to do?
do i just continue pursuing a dream
that never comes true?
2-5 percent keep it off for 5 years
and im not one of them no matter
what i do or hope for.

2-5 % keep it off: those are the ones that find a system that works for them long-term. And you CAN be one of them. Right now that´s not relevant though because right now you´re working to find ways to handle your food intake that don´t lead to binging. Because binging is terrible for the body, not just in terms of weight gain. If you can stop binging without gaining a ton of weight you are already doing your body so much good. And once you get that under control you may be able to think about eating more healthily or losing weight. You don´t have to do everything at the same time. If you lose weight along the way: great. If you don´t you´re still learning and improving your health.

I hope those two combined were one day? Because then you did very well! What´s boost?

they were separate days
im having some temporary
food security issues at this time

boost is one of those nutritional
meal replacement drinks
(i found it free in my building)

hopefully resolving food issues
(shortages) today

I´m very sorry you´re having to deal with that. And if it´s something that happens more often or has happened in the past it can be one reason you´re prone to binging. I hope the future is more stable so you don´t have to consider that part anymore.
Congratulations on the loss, of course, but don´t be too disappointed if some of those pounds come back next time you weigh: after eating very little your stomach and guts will have been pretty empty and that does affect the weigh-in. Still: I´d expect 5 pounds or so to be actual weightloss, which is great!

12 minutes bike

meal 1- 1 cup salad 240

meal 2- 5 ounces ham 210
1 pie slice 280

meal 3- 2 cups salad 480

all eaten at different times
from 2pm to 9pm

im not good with the timing being very far apart
but at least stayed in control

i used to think that amount was
but i dont anymore(a binge)
I think that´s progress. The most harmful part of binging (aside from the physical stuff) is the feeling you´ve lost control. Experiencing something as "I´ve eaten more than I should´ve" is easier to put behind you than "I lost control completely because I´m weak and a terrible person". As long as you feel like you´re making a choice you have some level of control over what you eat and how much of it. Not to mention it´s much better for your self esteem, which is extremely important. So very well done!

2 sessions of fast 5 minutes walking on the spot

2 cups (500 grams) 4% cottage cheese 480

wasnt hungry not true hunger
but if i do then i will eat more

Maybe if you´re not hungry but so far under calories you can try to eat some vegetables or a piece of fruit to up your nutrition.
Well done on the walking, how did your legs react?

I can't comment on the time but added to the 480 kcal of cottage cheese you'd already had that's 1530 kcal, a pretty healthy amount of calories for someone who's dieting. I think you've been doing well for the past two weeks or so.

ham 480
beefaroni 1260
hot chocolate 600
beans 240
sausage 300
