Wooho Beagle, awesome results!!! :) And I gotta say, you're artwork, rocks!! You're so talented. Wow! :)

As for the ice cream, girl I can relate! My FH hasn't allowed me to buy any in a long time, because its my downfall, but you are handling it wonderfully. Gotta let yourself have some thin!! :)

banana-nut muffin - 300
frozen yogurt cup - 250
roastbeef sandwich (mm leftovers ;)) - 300
mini carrots and lite ranch dip - 150
Total: 1400

Water - 75oz

Exercise: 20 mins on the bike when I got home (will do another 20 just before bed)

Tuesday food:
Breakfast: big bowl of oatmeal - 300
Lunch: teriaki chicken wrap - 500
Snack: two onion rings (from FH's lunch) - 100
Dinner: chicken breast and salad - 350
Snack: small pineapple julius - 150
Total: 1400

Water: 50oz

Exercise: none (possibly a total 30 minutes of casual walking around campus from one place to another, but nothing very strenuous or difficult) :(

Also, thanks for the compliment, Jesse :D I tend to be a bit ambivilent about my artwork and its usefulness. I seem to be better at it than the 'average person' which might be good for ego stroking, but its really a pretty useless skill in the world unless I'm professionally trained or super-duper talented and can make a living off of it. I've been trying to make a living off it anyways, but it hasn't been going so well :p

Honestly, I kind of enjoyed the sense of self-control it gave me, and I think next time I try it, I might be able to go the full time without giving in, and the fact that I dropped nearly 4 lbs in two days is also very encouraging. I just don't want to do it too often and gimp my metabolism or something.


LMAO! You're so funny. I wish I were anorexic sometimes. haha. Not really. I agree with you about feeling some self control with fasting. Although I haven't been 100% successful keeping up my juice fast, I really feel that what I have been doing is making a big difference in how I feel. It's helping me break some food addictions which is nice. Anyhow, I hope you have a great week. Let's get in shape! Whoo hoo!

I'm doing another fast this Thursday, and WILL make it through the whole day! As far as I can tell from reading, one fast day a week won't hurt me, and will probably help, too. It'll be easier this time too, because the last one I did, I didn't have anything to do all day to keep my mind occupied. This time, I'll have school AND work to keep me busy and then will go right to bed when I get home from work.

My FH will be fasting with me this time again, it was actually his idea in the first place (well sort of, we were having a conversation that lead into it, he was just the first to say it). Though it'll probably be easier for him anyways, he almost never eats to start with. If anything, he only has dinner unless we actually make plans for breakfast or lunch. Still its nice to have someone support me like that :)

Next week I actually HAVE to fast, since I have that doctor's appointment I mentioned a while ago, and I'd much rather do the bloodwork right after the physical to save on time. There's a blood clinic right in the same building as his, so its pretty convenient.
 
Hey there .. congratulations on your fasting. I am tempted to try this one day this week also. I know its definitely difficult to keep you rmind occupied when you haven't had any solid foods to consume all day. So I think its great you've been able to pull it off. :) Keep up the great work and good luck on your physical!

k, hafta give my 2 cents here LOL :p I used to be (about 14 years ago) anorexic - talk about total reverse here, huh? (I went from not eating food to OMG I can't STOP eating) I don't in anyway see fasting for a day or two as anorexic. I don't think it hurts at all if it isn't for a long period of time. I, personally, am afraid to try it for fear of "going back", but I have a lot of friends who do it on ocassion. A day a week is a great idea if it works for you and makes you feel better :D Okay, given my 2 cents... I feel better :)
 
Sooo I majorly slept in today. Missed breakfast, and most of my classes too. I'm only going to my lab later this afternoon.

Wednesday food:
peanut butter and banana sandwich - 400
Candy cane - 50
toast and butter - 150
small frozen yogurt - 100
teriyaki chicken and rice - 600
Total: 1300

water - 50 oz (I need to catch up on this!)

exercise - none yet

So, I decided to go to the mall's foodcourt for dinner today, since I didn't get out of my lab until after my family had dinner (and they went to mcdonalds anyways)... I didn't make the best decision. I had a chicken teriyaki bowl. The chicken wasn't so bad itself, would have been maybe 300 calories... but it was what was under the chicken: rice. When I started eating it, I told myself only a few bites of rice! Then, Only half of it! Then, Only the parts that have the teriyaki sauce on it. Then, it was all gone :( Like two full cups of rice.

At least I'd eaten pretty well the rest of the day, and just barely stayed within my limits!
 
Alright, so tomorrow I'm fasting again! I can do it!! No food!

... In case you can't tell, I'm trying to pump myself up so I can get through the whole day without going into melodramatic fits and raving about starving to deat ;)
 
Hey girl You are doing good and as for starving yourself just dont get down and sick! Keep up the good work your just about at that goal!
 
I don't think one day is enough to make me sick or anything, but thanks for the concern :) Its nice to know there are people worrying about me.

Today is going good so far, I seem to be going back and forth between feeling absolutely famished, and then just forgetting about it and feeling fine. I really think its just all in my head, since as soon as I woke up at 7, I felt hungry, but so often, I sleep until like 1 in the afternoon and still don't feel hungry until a couple hours later, and then only a bit peckish.

5 hours down in the day, 14 left to go (I'll probably be going to bed around 1am)!
 
Hi Beagle! You wont get sick from a day off food. In fact, you will most likely be healthier since your body has time to repair itself instead of taking on all the new load of toxins for the day, the kind we ingest in food.

If you find your fasting unbearable, I will sometimes buy those bullion cubes, chicken or veggie flavor. I boil a glass of water, pop it in, let it melt, then sip on it for a while. Only 5 calories and it helps satisfy you for a while.

Good luck! I am going to do a water fast this weekend, hopefully on Sunday!

Be strong! You can do it. P.s. Sleeping is really good to do when fasting. Helps speed of the cleansing and repairing process like your body does at night when you sleep.
 
In looking at our stats, we both are the same height and same weight. Did you notice that, too........

Will be great when we both reach our goal. Keep up the good work.

I love sleeping so much, but I never have time to do it as much as I'd like except on Sundays, when I usually go till at least noon ;) Most nights during the week I get 5-6 hours of good sleep because I get a second wind around 10pm and don't feel tired until like 1am or so, and then have to get up at 7am. I'm naturally a night owl, but still have to go to class and on saturdays, work, early in the morning.
