Hello all!

How is everyone doing? I am having a tough week. I have stuck to eating healthily and have exercised even more than I had planned. I seem to be stuck on a bit of a plateau and now worried that my initial 10lb loss was all water. Does anyone have any advice on a good diet to follow? At the momet I have cut my calories, dairy and processed sugar. Am I eating too little? I guess I average around 900cals per day and I am doing about 600cals worth of workout per day. Where am I going wrong?

Sorry to hear about your struggles. Based on the info you gave, I would say you're not eating nearly enough. At your current weight, eating 2000 calories per day should get you pretty close to 2lbs per week weight loss, and 1500 calories should get you close to 3lbs per week - especially once you factor in your exercise. At my current weight, I usually eat between 2000-3000 calories per day, and I've been averaging a weight loss of 3lbs per week. For diet, you can't really go wrong with balanced. 1/3 calories from protein, 1/3 from complex carbs, 1/3 from healthy fats. If your weight has only been stuck for a week, I wouldn't even call it a plateau. For me, the scale usually drops 2-3lbs in 2 or 3 days, followed by 5-7 days of holding steady, or maybe dropping 0.5-1lb. Then, another 2-3lbs come off in 2 or 3 days again. Other people follow different patterns. With eating so few calories though, you're never going to just stop losing weight. Your body will adapt to the low calorie diet and your weight loss can slow, but its never going to stop completely. If you really want to continue on such a low calorie diet, most of your calories should come from protein. Google PSMF to learn how to do it right. Its not something to just jump into though. Make sure you know what you're doing.

Excellent week this week. I refocused on eating, and tracking my food, as well as focused on drinking lots of water. Paid off in the end. 5.7 more lbs and I will officially no longer be obese.


Sounds kind of weird but I would love to be overweight by the end of the month!

This weeks loss: 2lbs. Had a shocking week so not too low about my loss. I would like to lose 3lbs a week but I am happy with any loss.

Still not where I want to be, considering I weighed in at the end of july at 349.8. I am at least moving in the right direction though. I did see 348.X this week. Starting to look like I might not make it to my August goal of <340.
