We rock Andicakes!!!!! Have a great rest of the week, Camy

Thats because we are AWEESOME! We both posting good weeks too on our challenge thread! Anticipating a really competitive results this week!

GO ORANGE!

Soooo last night didnt really go as planned. Came home after an especially stressful day at work, and then the fatigue kicked in hard. Took a napper (I know, I know) at around 6, and woke up at 10. Made some dinner and watched BL.

Intended to make up for it this morning, but OF COURSE that nap messed up my sleep, so I didnt sleep until a few hours in, and then when my alarm went off I was WAY out of it. Ah well, a day off never killed anyone, so tonight I just need to make sure I stick to the schedule.

TANGENT. My mother started growing a garden in our side yard. I guess its something you do when all the kids leave the house and have nothing else to do! :p Anyways, she made some salsa from the vegetables there, and W-O-W it's good. Like, top 3 I have ever had. I officially have a standing order for a jar every Sunday evening when I visit for dinner. ;)

I want a garden when I have my own house. I'm lazy so I don't know how it'll go, but I love having fresh fruits, veggies and herbs readily available!

You know, I'm not sure how much work they actually put into it. I know it took a while to actually set up the rows of crops and put a little fence up to keep the puppies out, but once that was set, I think she just waters it daily, and covers it when it gets too hot/cold/rainy.

You should try to do that down the road! I bet the feeling you get from eating what you GREW would be pretty cool haha!

Ah well, something to put on the ol' to-do list, right? :p

Yeah it would take more to set up than maintain. I just keep thinking about weeding... that would be annoying! lol

Hey Andy, just checking in ya :D looks like all is going ok?? x

Hi Tutti! Thanks for coming by! :D

Been REALLY pushing myself lately, trying to physcially become the way I already mentally see myself. It is an EXHUSTAING process lol! Still, always in a good mood after its done.

Had today off to rest and relax!...............right haha.

Admittedly I did get to sleep in, but with the college basketball tourneys starting this week, I dragged myself out of bed at the crack of 11AM? made some coffee and enjoyed myself. Didh the dishes, laundry and cleaned the house. Headed to get a nice gym visit in and did my normal stuff, plus and 1/2 hour long full court pick up game that really made me realize how I need to run a lot more. I was huffing 15 minutes into it, and it didnt any easier. Luckily, i know that I am competitive enough to turn that anguish into fuel, so I can improve down the road.

Made my omelette /w homeade salsa (YES) for lunch, also had some yogurt. I ran out of salsa though ;_; Need to stop by home to bug mom to whip up another batch. I read somewhere that its one of the best toppings you can put on food, so I dish myself some pretty generous portions. Anywho, ENOUGH SALSA TALK.

Weighed in earlier (275.8)and am DAAAAAMN proud to report I hit that 50% mark on my journey. HELL YA. If I was climbing a mountain, I'd be on the way back down. I really made some big changes in 2010, such as cutting soda, and candy altogether for that matter, and I can tell you that from my perspective, its just not worth it for me to cheat on crap like that. Whatever is going to give me steps backwards needs to be taken out of sight.

Anyways, take care everyone. I appreciate all the support you all show me!

Man, I am feeling the effects of yesterdays workout. I'm pretty achey all over, especially lower back /wince! But its nothing a nice massage wouldn't fix. Anyways, ended up eating dinner just fine, even though it was a STRUGGLE to make it from the couch to the kitchen! :p

Watched my sundevils implode during the PAC tournament :nopity::nopity:

Still debating on whether or not I will do any physical stuff later today. I am feeling pretty roughed up atm, but I have the feeling that if I just run around a little bit and get the blood flowing, I'll be limber in no time. I want to have another stellar showing for the BL challenge on tuesday, so my teammate Camy doesn't feel the need to carry our team LOL.

Also.................TGIF everyone! HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!!!!

Congrats on hitting your 50% mark! That's so great! I wish I could push myself to workout like you do. I'm lucky I make myself do what little amount I do! OY!

And I agree, I've heard salsa is a really good topping option especially against something like ketchup. Ketchup has tons of sugar whereas salsa doesn't and it's so low calorie too.

If you're pretty sore, take it easy and just do some cardio or something!

Thank you! I'm really happy I've finally hit that mark. Its really been a huge focus accomplishment for me, and I am just happy I've made it these 2.5 months (since 2010) without many cheats. I actually got 2 compliments from clients today about how I look better, and when they ask me how I do it, I just tell them straight up, I eat less, and I eat a lot more protein. Easy as that.

Anywho, thanks for stopping by Risty :D Have a nice weekend!

Man oh man, I was in that sore mode all day yesterday - especially in my legs. Had it all over in the morning, but I read about this trick where you take a tennis ball, and can actually use it against a wall to massage the upper back. Prolly looked a little odd, but man, it worked like a charm! Still, I think I was compared to Baloo the bear at some point by a co-worker. :D
Anywho, when I got back home, my roomate showed me some streches he learned, and they really helped my calves and quads feel a lot looser. Still had a little ache in my knees and ankles. :(

Went to the gym around 8:00 and shot around for about an hour until close - didnt even get to lift. It was sort of an off day, so I wasn't really trying to exert myself. Anyways, got back home, didn't find any texts or anyone doing anything fun, so I took my old self and went to bed by 11:00, a rarity for friday nights. Got a full eight hours, and its made all the difference in the world!

Hopped out of bed feeling a LOT looser, and after doing some early morning stretches combined with a hot shower, I managed to work the remaining kinks out and am currently feeling 100%! Good thing too, because I have an old friend coming in town this afternoon, and I didn't want to be handicapped by any tight muscles while hes here, especially if we decide to play any sports in the park.

Anyways, thats my update today. Get to have my cheat meal today! Getting hungry just thinking about it! Have a great weekend everyone! :smash:

It's good you're feeling a lot less sore and more loose! That always helps that's for sure!

What is your cheat meal going to be?

What is your cheat meal going to be?

A little chain restaurant in the states. Chipotle.com

I'm pretty good with my cheat meal. Its a burrito bowl with chicken, like 50g protein, but its pretty jacked up with sodium too. its sooooo good!

Hey Andy,

Nice work on growing your own stuff. We just moved into our house last September but my partner has been talking about starting up a lil veg patch in our garden and I think he is planning on starting it up and growing at least a few of our own bits this year... cherry tomatoes, maybe runner beans etc. Gardening isnt my thing really, but he enjoys it and I wont complain about cooking/eating stuff if he gets it off the ground.

Enjoy what's left of the weekend. xx

Had an extremely quick weekend :ack2:

Ah well, back to the grind, right?

Went home last night for dinner with family. Ate entirely too much, but it all tasted incredible! Even though I was doing exceptionally well on calorie intake for the day, I really think I overdid it sunday. So, you live and learn. :reddevil:

**warning, rant inc**

More and more it seems like I am pausing my life to focus on my weight. Like, once I see the scale hit a specific number, I can start focusing on other areas of my life that need work. Its really a half truth though, because I have always ALWAYS had a really poor sense of self image. Granted, its vastly improved from where I was a year ago, but I feel like I don't have the necessary confidence I could have if just improved my physique. Lord knows I'm thinking about it EVERY day. I'm not sure if I am just leaning on my weight issue to procrastinate eventual life changes (which is a whole different can of worms), but its a very fimilar thought pattern for me. So, I guess I have a lot riding on me hitting that final goal, and finally gaining that confidence I severly lack.

I'm really hoping one day to look back on this and appreciate how far I've come.

RANT OVER

Anywho, got a date with the gym tonight. Doing my arms, and hopefully gonna get some cardio in too. I'm still weighing in at a loss from last week, which is a positive sign, but my official weight in is tomorrow morning!
