Hey... my last post doesn't seem to fit on this page at all and I never saw the above posts so think somehow I was looking at an older page of yours??!! Anyway, a big congrats on reaching 50% of your goal loss :) a massive landmark!! Must be great motivation to know you're halfway there now.

Seeing as you hit the gym hard and I see you feel it a lot afterwards, do you have any tips for getting rid of that ache? I worked hard last week but by Friday evening I could barely walk I hurt so much, so had to abandon Friday night's workout... also had Sat and Sunday as rest days but by today I STILL ached, and so I don't feel I gave 100% to the stretching/toning sections of my classes. I figured all you can do is give yourself some time off resting, but obviously I am eager to carry on working out and can't have a week off every time I've done a class!! :)

xx

I am in the same boat as you! Still get the aches the next morning, but I found some simple stretches that will help unwind the muscles in the morning, and it alleviates a lot of the ache out the rest of the day.

Also, on that note, this week I am going to MAKE myself spend 10 mins stretching out, because I usually just go in fresh and feel it the next few days. Hopefully that does the trick! Ill update this weekend about those results.

Thanks for coming by! Sounds like you're getting quite a workout from your bums and tums class, so keep that up :D!

Not much to update on. Still moving along right on course. Took the day off the gym yesterday, because ive been carrying this soreness for a few days. Usually after a few mins in the gym, I feel warmed up again, but the soreness onsets again a few hours after I get home. So, gonna focus on stretching this week and hopefully that makes everything a little easier.

Gonna have to pull a miracle this evening and stave off excessive amounts of green beer. I'm gonna be honest, I don't see myself being to successful with that one. Ah well, once a year is going to make or break :p

Have a great St. Patricks day everyone :D

Mandy is really consistent and dropping some steady good numbers! I am so impressed with that Cohen's diet, makes me want to try it!

You're on a roll too, I think if anyone, it's you that Mands will have to stay in front of. Keep it going!!

Hi Andy!!

I just wanted to stop in and say hello! I actually got clearance to workout as normal and my obstetrician even said that I can eat a very small calorie deficit if I decide to since my regular maintenance calories are so high. They said that it shouldn't be a problem if I lose weight, but I obviously don't want to be dropping a WHOLE BUNCH at a time. So my game plan is to just eat as healthy as I can and track my calories ... My maintenance is around 3,000 calories so I'm going to shoot for about 2,800 a day and hopefully will be able to work out again soon. I've just been feeling so sick lately that it's not even possible :(

But, I think that I'm reaching the end of that, and hopefully in 2-3 weeks I'll be able to get back into the swing of things. My new goal is to get under 300lbs and hold it there until the end of my pregnancy (I'm sitting at 305lbs. currently). But really I'm just going to try to get some exercise in 4-5 days a week and eat normal healthy foods.

Anyway, just wanted to update you! I haven't really been keeping a close eye on the forums, but I see you're doing GREAT in the BL challenge! So glad you got a great new partner to kick butt with you!!

Best wishes <3

OH HI THERE! Glad to hear from you again! Yea, I could see why staying near maintenance would be a good course of action, after all, you ARE eating for 2 now right? :)

And yep yep@, I'm patting myself on the back for the 2010 effort I've had so far. The BL challenge has helped me achieve some mini goals and i'm riding the momentum  Not sure what I am going to do when the show is all over :O

Good to hear from you ADDIE! Feel better! :D

Well, haven't had a chance to sit down and update in a few days. I have had a crazy week! Got my fix on NCAA basketball, considering I watched easily 20+ hours over 3 days. (yea, with foozeball mini breaks..!) My buddy bought a 1/2 keg, I had a bit too much every day. I'm ok with it though, I sort of expected that this would be the case (thank goodness march madness is only on once a year!)

Did manage to get to the gym once (LOL) on saturday. Felt good to break a sweat. Plan on hitting it hard this week to get back into my routine. I've set up a lofty goal of 18 pounds in 6 weeks, which is the BL final weigh in day /cry . That would put me at an EVEN 50 pounds gone, which I personally never want to see again! I really think its achieveable, so we shall see how that goes.

More than ever people have been noticing that I've been working out. It feels great. Not sure if its just in my head, but I SWEAR the last 20 pounds I took off had more of an impact than the previous 60. So, that gets me pretty excited to lose this last 70. I know I can do it, all I have now is time to get there. I'm shooting for my birthday in August, which is roughly 5 months away. On that note, 80+ facking pounds gone...! Yep, music to my ears.

Anyways, I hope everyone is keeping on track! Have a good MONDAY everyone! :p

I can believe that. Weight loss is so weird. I've seen people lose a lot of pounds, but almost no inches and I've also seen people really slim down without the scale hardly moving. Plus, if you think about it, that last 20 pounds was a higher percentage of your overall weight than the first 20, so it'll show more.

But yep, back to the gym for you if you're going to make your BL goal! ;)

True! I never thought about it that way, but it makes sense. I suppose the bottom line is to keep on losing, that way eventually its all gonna come off somewhere! :p

Thanks for coming by!

Wow ... 80lbs. lost! THAT IS AMAZING!! :hurray:

I'm so super jealous :)

:D

Its been pretty boring getting here :p Lots of chicken, lots of eggs. Eating the same stuff everyday haha. TONS of water.

Thanks for stopping by Ashley! Take care during pregnancy, and we will all be here for when you're all ready to jump back on that path! ;P

Not too much to update. Did good on food/water. Went out to the gym. ran around a bit, but didnt get the intensity I wanted. Tonight I'll go back and put in a better effort.

Still on pace. Would like to hit 268.0 by the end of march. I think its achieveable.

Hey all, happy wednesday!

Doing well so far. Finally went back to the gym last night. I think its been there twice since....last tuesday. :x So, thats one thing I would like to get back to this week. Did my arms, felt stronger than normal (likely because I gave the muscles so much rest) and cycled while I waited for the court to clear. Unfortunatley, no one could hit their shots :p so I ended up cycling for 30 mins until the gym closed. Didn't really get any sweat in, but I did some lifting, so it wasn't a TOTAL waste of time :D

Realized the other day that I don't even give soda a second thought anymore. Literally, all cravings for it are long gone. Its been 3.5 months since I quit, and I think its really made a difference in my eating habits. Somehow I'm going to have to figure out how to do that with weekend alcohol  I don't feel like its that bad, but it certainly doesn't follow the rest of my clean lifestyle. Ah well, maybe that'll be my 2011 resolution, since losing weight won't be! :D :D

Got to do some legs tonight, and hopefuly get some good cardio in. Will update tomorrow!

Nice work on the exercise Andy :) you are totally putting me to shame on the soda... despite all my best intentions, I still drink some diet pepsi most days!! (Although to be fair I only have a can, as a treat, and drink mainly weak squash and get some water in) I really will make efforts to cut it back one of these days! x

haha :D well you and I know the key is moderation. Having one as a day is good, especially if you treat it like a treat.

Last year, I literally think I could drink 5-6 sodas from the time I got home from work to the time I went to sleep (usually at 2AM). Like, grabbing 2 at a time so I wouldn't have to get up to refill type of bad. So, one day I said to my roomie, "this is the last 12 pack I buy. After this, I'm done." Having him around actually did help, because I REALLY didn't want to hear it from him if he caught me with any haha.

Thanks for coming by Tutti :)

Good job on getting back to the gym! And I hear you on the soda. I quit about a month and a half ago and I don't miss it. I'm never tempted to have it, it just doesn't cross my mind. I used to drink 5-6 (full sugar) cans a day. I'm so glad I kicked the soda habit!

Ha, my boyfriend is like that, I told him I was giving it up several times in the last few months but I'm often cracking one open. He just gives me a look!! I could seriously drink it all day, as my only liquid intake... I love it. But yeh I stick to having it as my treat now :) the way I see it is, I know it's not great for me but if I'm craving something sweet and it's the diet pepsi or some sweets or something, the pepsi is the lesser of two evils!! Ideally I'd drink less, but I'm not too worried I guess because as you say I'm employing some moderation. :D
