Weight-Loss
:party:THANK GOD!!!I was wondering why you posted so early but just t hought that maybe you were really excited abt this one for some reason - LOL!!!

OMG :party::party::party::party::party::party::party:!

that is hilarious, I was S_E_R_I_O_U_S_L_Y wondering if I could find a fancy sushi place with octopus LOL!

LOL!!!
I was soooo worried! :willy_nilly:
How weird was I gonna look eating at the Mexican place on Saturday with chopsticks!!!

Lol! Mean Ass!!

I was sitting here thinking of how dumb I was gonna look eating every meal with chopsticks here at work. Good one Kim!

No just No I want that one i know it's crazy but it sounds doable. Plus ya know all the more excuse to have rice and ramen all week ( which would make me bloat like a balloon but hey what can ya do)

KIM! Hahaha, that was seriously funny and very wicked! I must say as everyone else I took it as a no laughing matter. I planned my 8 hours, I believed that in the USA, you have plenty of Korean restaurants offering live octopuses so you all have very good access to those delicacies (and I speculated on why we here in the UK seem to have a serious shortage of) and then I rushed to the near Chinese shop to buy chopsticks. After I have done my preparations I commented the situation with my boyfriend and told him that I am very concerned and that other contestants also are baffled on how they will eat their soups, sandwiches etc. He visualized some possible ways of eating soup with chopsticks and I expressed my disbelief that this would be possible, especially in public. Then we continued our chat and agreed that it was a very memorable day - 1st of April (Fools' Day) to reach my goal and as soon as he said this… BANG! I knew it... I knew you are a little devil! :smilielol5::smilielol5::smilielol5::smilielol5:

:Angel_anim:

I actually considered making the chopstick thing one of the real detours..lol. I would've made things like finger foods and liquids exceptions, of course. Asians actually eat soups with chopsticks and spoons. They use the chopsticks for the noodles, meat etc, and spoons for the broth.

Wulsk--I hope you didn't spend a lot of money on those chopsticks!! And Korean restaurants are not plentiful in the US unless it's a large city. Small towns might have a Chinese restaurant, but not Korean.

Anyway, that wicked idea came to me in the wee hours of the morning when I should've been in bed sleeping. Instead, my wicked mind was thinking up nasty ways of freaking you all out. I'm glad you thought it was funny. I sure did. :D :Angel_anim:

The Real Week 5 Detours :D

Week 5—Auckland to Seoul 19hrs 15min. 6hrs25min split 3 ways

1. Drink 1 cup of green tea per day (must be from tea leaves or a tea bag—not the bottled sweetened kind) or 2. Do all 15 of the Tae Kwon Do how-to videos below once over the course of the week.

I imagine this is a lot better than the previous April Fool post..lol. :D

We all have to do this or just one team member?

Detours are something that everyone must complete. You only have to choose one of the two options, though. So you either drink the green tea, or do the TKD--just like last week with the kiwi and lamb. :)

I forgot to mention that green tea is supposed to be very good for weightloss. It's also full of antioxidents, calorie-free, and you can get the caffeine-free version of it as well. Here is some more info regarding this:

Good April Fool's Joke! I do have some chopsticks here, so I guess it wouldn't be too bad if that was one of the real challenges. ;)

As far as the detour - I might just do both. :D

Ok so I just finished watching the vids on martial arts just to see what we were up for. Just want to say that now I'm hungry for Outback - thank you very much! LOL :D

Oh and just a tip, but when you try to do the flying kick, think of doing a lay-up in basketball. It's the same principal only you'll be kicking at the end instead of shooting a ball. ;)

That's a lovely detour! When I was starting my journey I was told by someone to finish my 3 main meals a day with large mug of tea or coffee in order to feel like eating huge and complete course. This seemed to work perfectly for me so now I always have tea after lunch and dinner. I never thought to have green tea though. I don't know why. Maybe because I do love earl grey too much. Needless to say I am going to do the both options! :hurray:

Maybe I'll attempt both too. I could get used to Green Tea. Especially when its so damn good for the metabolism.

Ugh. I'd MUCH rather eat with chopsticks all week than drink dishwater or do tae kwon do. Lesser of two evils rule dictates that I will do the tae kwon do.

It's a bloody cup of tea--it's practically water. I cannot believe people are such wusses. Plug your nose if it's that bad. We are all grown ups here--not toddlers. There are plenty of food/beverages that I do not care for, but could eat/drink if I had to. 8oz a day is not that much.

The all natural green tea from a health food store tastes much better than the standard Lipton or grocery store brand. Add some honey and it's yummo!

I happen to like green tea...when I gave up coffee I switched to green tea - LOL - No worries here...although Im recently switching over to mint tea to get away from green but I love green tea!!!

Okay this may seem silly but as a team do we all have to do the same thing. Or can we each choose to do one of the options as long as it gets done?
