Weight-Loss Amazing Race Style Challenge

Weight-Loss
Awesome!! I never win!

Congrats to all of you for doing an amazing job!! Good luck!

OK, I have paid special attention to Capoeira today since I am the nominated member to do the roadblock. I should say "thank you again Kim" as this task not only helps us to exercise but it broadens our knowledge as well. (I've never heard about this thing before.) I have followed twice the videos. I am still hopeless at the last one especially where they combine the 2 kicks bit I will do the videos every day and hopefully on the last day I should be a real master. Well done me!:Angel_anim:

I'm glad you're enjoying the Capoeira. People tend to get bored easily with exercise, so I think it's great if someone decides they want to start doing something they heard about from this challenge. :)

I just did the required Capoiera, it is definitely different as far as what I was taught in martial arts. But I could see how it could work. One needs a lot of balance and coordination though! :D

a big "hoorah" to all of you braving the roadblock this week!

especially to my girl wulsk for mastering it!

I agree fun challenge.....when do we get to go somewhere tropical? te he he

Week 3 Roadblock #2

Week 3—Rio to Vancouver 18hrs 50min. 6hrs17min per teammate if split evenly, and 9hrs25min would be 50%.

Hockey comes to mind when one thinks of Canada, of course, but I can’t make you play hockey, as you need people to play with, skates and an ice rink--and that would be very difficult for just about everyone but Jerome. :D Maple syrup is very Canadian, but most of you would enjoy eating that too much, and it's not very conducive to weight loss. :) Neither would eating Poutine (French fries with gravy and cheese curds—a Quebecois treat that I LOVE). :drool5:

So, as Vancouver’s a port city, fishing is a major industry there. And as fish is low-cal, a great source of lean protein and full of omega-3 fatty acids, here’s the Roadblock: Eat a lb (basically a half a kilo) of salmon (not canned) over the course of the week. Only one person per team has to do this.

OMG, I never ever exercised that much in my entire life!!! That is going to be a HELL week for me. :) :biggrinjester:

I love (really love!) the roadblock. However for strategical reasons I rather give it to someone else in my team. Alas... :)

Thanks for posting this early. I am a planner and I have now all my workouts in my "slimming project" notebook.

I said to Cinderelly just the other day that which doesn't kill us only makes us stronger, right? :p lol

Since people might do their weekly shopping on Weds or Thurs, I thought I'd give those doing the roadblock a heads up so they can buy their salmon. ;)

If you want to reward yourself after the challenge, you can always drive to my place and we could go eat "une grosse poutine" downtown :) Michigan's not too far :auto:

Whaa!!
