Ok, so for today's cal target, it's just over 1500. I may not eat a snack, since I had the bacon and I ate breakfast late, so it may not matter that I am decreasing the cal target.

One positive thing I have noticed lately is that I am not craving soda as I once did. I now crave my Propel! I love that! I just finished one and already I'm thirsty for more! YAY ME!

When you crave the soda........down a couple bottles of the Propel (15c to 30c...depending on the size of the bottle).......and I think the cravings for soda will diminish.......HEHE.......

Propel is fine.....will not hurt a thing........

And, without thinking twice about it........go to the sink and down several glasses of water..........if out of propel (or you could use crystal lite)......and fill the stomach up...........this should cure the urge for a beverage......

Propel vs Water w/lemon juice

Ok, now I'm mad. I didn't realize there are 25 cals per 16fl oz bottle of Propel. GRRRR....I'm working on my 2nd one today. It's the only way I can get my water in.

If I drink reg water and put some lemon juice in it, would the lemon juice cause it to have cals, too?

There are days I can have about 6 or 7 Propels....That will ruin my cals for the day! Ugh! :mad:

The lemon juice.......is a nonexistant worry.......drink water and lemon juice all day.......you will be fine.....

I just checked my bottle of lemon juice in the fridge......> 0 calories.

Now, an occassional "diet" soda ISNT gonna kill your goals........they have 0 calories...........get a 12 pack......and no matter what people tell you.......it ISNT gonna hurt your goals

Therefore......get a diet version of soda.........that has 0 calories that you like, ad drink it from time to time..........and you will be okay.......get your nutrients from good solid food............and you will be fine.........Just try to keep your diet and training in order.......

GLad you mentioned that, as I do splurge once to twice a week on diet pepsi or diet sierra mist. But I will definitely have to stock up on lemon juice.

Wow, are my legs sore!!! I've been standing since 6:30 this morning and just now sat down. Phew! Gotta love hard work! Although, I am so tired, not sure I'll do the other cardio today. I will do weights, but I am having a hard time keeping my eyes open right now. I may even do weights right before bed. I just can't do it right now. *yawn*

Foodwise, doing really well!!! :D



Feeling pretty happy about the cals and such. :D Need to get some hearty protein in me this evening, though! Yikes!

Thanks C and SP!!! Today is going well, too. Here is my that will tell you what I have eaten and done as far as working out.

Feeling pretty positive about this. Unfortunately, I have to fix the macro thing. It's just way out there. But I will fix it - and I'm happy with the changes I have made so far. I have to say that I didn't treat myself yesterday even though there were brownies at the barn. And I could have gotten a soda but declined. YAY ME!

10.30.07 Post Workout

Well, I did it. 20 minutes on the machine and then 30+ mins for weights (NROL Fat Loss I). But I got them done and it felt good. The only thing I had a hard time with was the Dumbbell Push Press. Wow. I could only do I think 8 in ea set. LOL :eek:

One thing I have noticed lately, and I 'm not sure why this is, is that occassionally I will feel like I have no strength to do something. For ex. opening a jar of something. The other day, I was opening a jar of jelly and when I got the jar out of the cupboard, I didn't think it was heavy or anything, but when I tried to open it, it was like I just couldn't do it. I did open it finally, but things like that are bothering me. I've been known as strong all my life and then to have things like that come up makes me mad. So I really pushed it today with the weights (except for the DPP....ugh).
 
Hey, I was looking at your fitday log in regards to your proportions of protein to fat to carbs. Your protein intake is pretty low on some days. Your calories are also pretty low compared to the metabolic rate calculated for you. Are you sure the MT line is correct? A 1000+ defecit seems like a lot.

Altogether, it looks like you're making a good effort. If you're seeing the results you want, then there should be no need to drastically change what you're currently doing.

Note that on some days my cals were not completed. I probably stopped entering for a day or so. Todays was right on, but I hate eating 1700 cals. Makes me feel like I'm doing the opposite. And yeah, as I said, my protein needs work. LOL Although I was listening to the radio and they said that you should eat 1/3 of your weight in protein. Or was it 10%? They mentioned a 150lb person and I thought they said they would need about 50g of protein a day. That seems rather low.

Anyway....today did well. I'm happy.
 
Yeah, I think those figures for protein are a minimum. For muscle maintenance/growth one needs to eat more than that. For you, 100 grams a day would be fine.
 
I am so stressed out. I HATE half day Wednesdays. The kids drive me nuts even more than normal LOL and there is more time to do it! Today seems worse than normal, perhaps because of Halloween and all the excitement. OMG, I'm telling you....CALGON, TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!
 
How is your grip strength? Using dumbbells will challenge it when you do your squats and deadlifts. Maybe your hands were fatigued from your weights.

As for the push press, are you using your legs to get the weights off your shoulders? You should be using a little more weight than you'd use for a regular shoulder press.
 
My grip strength was fine, it was my arms/shoulders....they physically could NOT do it.

So far today, I am kicking major @$$ and loving it!!! Look and see!! Gotta love those macros!!!

As for the workout, I did 3.5 hrs of ML, will do about 20 mins on elliptical and Fat Loss Ib.
