First off team I would like to apologize for blowing the challenge for us. I most likely drank plenty of water that day but was not accounting for it so I could not say in all honesty that I hit the mark.
This will not happen again.

Sunday exercise- 1 hour 20 min bike ride at good pace.

Food-
Breakfast- banana- 1 serving
Lunch- potato and onion perogies-6, pasta salad- not sure where the perogi's fall but lets call it 1/2
Snacks- 2 tangerine,
Dinner- steak, twice baked potato, salad.
By my recooking this gives me at least the required 3 servings. Please tell me if I an incorrect.
 
Hey all! Well, it's pre-TOM, and I've been craving sweet, fatty, salty, crispy food and lots of it! I have been mostly good, with some overindulgence on Saturday and Sunday.

I did, however, run on Sunday, yay for me! I'm going to keep up my gymming this week, and get back on track with eating. Going grocery shopping tonight, so will stock up on all things healthy!

As far as yesterday's concerned, I got in my veg (Huuuuge salad, and a foccacia with lots of veg on it), I got in my water too (not on Saturday though).

I'll post again later for todays stuff.

today i have done a 40min jog/run/gasping for breath lol
my legs feel all wobberly but i feel great for doing it and am going back the gym for more tomorrow (if i can walk if not a swim it is lol)

Yesterday i took the dog out for a 30min walk

Hope i am doing enough this week for a loss after popping into pizza hut with the neices on friday night fingers crossed
 
Hehe, sound like you're doing well Sarah! I've also been sticking to my exercise goals... even though I had to work late yesterday, I still found time to workout! Listen, I have to be honest here, I didn't get any fruit or veg in yesterday.

I have done a huge grocery shopping and now there is lots of fruit and veg and healthy stuff, so the rest of my week will be marvellous!
 
Hi guys! Sorry I haven't been around much the last two days. Sunday, I was hanging out with my mom and my dad's gf all day - and then yesterday, worked, came home and went to bed at 8:30. Guess I was just tired.

I'm disappointed in the way I've eaten over the past two days and haven't gotten my exercise in - doesn't mean that all is lost. I still have until Friday to get my exercise in and lose something.

Here is my food for the past two days to the best of my memory:

Sunday:

About 2 cups of Movie popcorn (with extra butter - I know, terrible!)
About 3 handfuls of Reese Pieces (again - terrible!)

Venti Strawberries and Cream Frappucino from Starbucks
Sesame Jack Chicken Strips from Fridays
1 Potato Skin
2 Cheesesticks

YEAH! Completely threw my diet out the door!

And no fruits and veggies...bad host - I know.

Monday:

Grapes
Grande Strawberries and Cream Frappucino from Starbucks
Quaker Mini Rice Cakes (90 calories)

Steak Hoagie with Lettuce, Mayo, Provolone Cheese and Mushrooms
French Fries with Cheese
Cinnamon Sticks with Cream Cheese Icing

Again, didn't meet the bonus quota.

It would have been very easy for me to just come on here and say "Oh yeah, got all my fruits and veggies, ate great!" But, this is all about being honest and held accountable.

And the worst part about it is, I searched the Starbucks website because I was curious about how many calories were in my fabulous frappucinos - won't be ordering those anymore - they pack about 570 calories a pop!

Anyways - today is a new day, but I just want to apologize now for us not getting the extra bonus points. I was a big big slacker the past two days - but I've gotten my ass in gear - and I will get all the exercise points. Sorry again. Hope you guys have a great Tuesday.

Oh, and on a side note, check the main "Get Back on Track" thread - we have someone that would like to join late - and I need everyone's opinion on that.

Wanted to post some before and after shots of my face - I haven't taken any recent body shots, but I will be doing that the end of this month. I know that it was mentioned in the beginning of the contest for us to do this, but I completely forgot. So, here's mine. :)

Food Monday 6.2.08

breakfast, ff yogurt, breakfast bar, oatmeal
Lunch- 2 tangerine, apple, crackers & cheese, raisin
dinner- salmon fillets & 3 servings mixed veggies.

Assorted snake type items in there but nothing of consequesnce- trust me.
hit my bonus no problem.
Exercise- 40 minutes WT and 38 minutes cardio.

Don't worry about it. I blew it for us last week and got us off on the wrong foot.

Dont worry about missing anything - none of us are machines and we all have slip-ups.

Just to show that I have my moments when I am not nearly as focused as I would like to be - I will post my Saturday food among my catch-up list (even though I know that it is not strictly necessary). I will add that I do not eat like this every Saturday

I am back home now (returned home Monday). I try and stick to my normal routine where possible while I am away - but I tend to walk less.

Saturday: 31/05/08

At least 3 hours exercise out walking - did extra for being away because I knew it would be a bad day foodwise.
Pedometer readings at end of day:
---Steps = 31,170
---Distance = 12.05 miles
My Food / Drink:
0.5 litres of cold water --- not nearly enough
lots of diet cola --- I know that there are tons of chemicals in it
3 weetabix, sweetener, 350 ml skimmed milk
baked potato (no butter), grilled lean bacon, cottage cheese, side salad (I was quite pleased about this meal - watched everyone else have milkshakes, a more fattening meal and cake at the bistro)
sub sandwich with coronation chicken
5 pieces of garlic bread
2 large handfuls of snacks / nibbles based on olive oil bread
handful of snacks based on honey and mustard
2 clementines
1 apple
2 plums
--- I did refuse more cake and chocolate biscuits - but all these bread based things were enough to punish me at the scales and I am still being punished.


Sunday: 01/06/08

At least 2 hours exercise out walking.
Pedometer readings at end of day:
---Steps = 18,763
---Distance = 7.25 miles
My Food / Drink:
2.5 litres of cold water
some diet cola
3 weetabix, sweetener, 350 ml skimmed milk
roast pork (roasted using fry light), carrots, cauliflower, onion, swede, cabbage, parsnip, peas, gravy
1 banana
4 plums
2 clementines
1 peach
1 pear
1 pear
1 apple
grapes
1 kiwi fruit
8 strawberries
Sugar free jelly (one sachet)

I certainly got my fruit and veg in

Monday: 02/06/08

At least 2 hours exercise out walking.
Pedometer readings at end of day:

---Distance = 7.74 miles
My Food / Drink:
2.5 litres of cold water
some diet cola
3 weetabix, sweetener, 350 ml skimmed milk
50g honey shreddies
chicken breast (roasted using fry light), carrot, cabbage, broccoli, celery, gravy

1 peach
1 pear
1 pear
1 apple
1 kiwi fruit
quite a lot of grapes
Sugar free gum - 2 stick
Sugar free jelly (one sachet)

I certainly got my fruit and veg in again

Hi

Today i had a panic no food at all in the house so i popped to asda on my way in brought a load of fruit took it into work and it will last me the week!

so today
Melon for breakfast
banana snack
Jacket potato with beams and cheese (i know but melted cheese so nice)
kiwi fruit
pinapple
grapes
and i have not decided on dinner yet

I have done a 40 min swim on my way home

So thats my fruit and exercise done for today
i have also had 2.5l of water so nearly had the 3l im trying to keep going from last weeks challenge (17.45pm)

My legs started to feel abit sore in work (standing all day didnt help) so i think the swim will help to ease them

So yesterday (Tuesday) I had:

Bran flakes and skim milk

Tangerine

Tuna, pasta, cucumber tomato, onion, lettuce, peppers salad

Plain yogurt and apple

Chicken wrap with tomato and lettuce

Strawberry candies

3 litres of water

16 minutes of elliptical (treadmills were full and I was pressed for time!)

1 hour belly dancing

Phew, yesterday was a good day :)

At least 3 hours exercise out walking.

100g honey shreddies
4 oz cooked ham, cucumber, lettuce, 1 red pepper, celery, spring onion
breaded plaice, tin of baked beans
1 banana
2 clementines
1 peach
1 pear
1 pear
1 apple

certainly plenty of fruit and vegetables again for me!

Tuesday 6.3.08

Food:
Breakfast- banana, oatmeal, yogurt
lunch- 2 tangerine, apple, tuna, raisin
dinner- tacos- I know, sue me :)- animal crackers, trail mix & popsicles

nothing else surprisingly...
3 servings of fruit just barely.
45 minutes of elliptical, cardio exercise.

doing pretty good overall I think.:)
 
Wednesday

Bran flakes and skim milk

Apple

Salad: lettuce, tomato, onion, corn, cucumber, feta and light dressing

Cheese and cucumber sandwich

Apple

Oh, I made the most amazing soup for supper....

It was:

Butternut
Sweet potatoes
Onions
Garlic
Butter Beans
Milk
Olive oil
Sea salt
Black pepper

Cooked that all soft in a pot and then blended in a food processor. It is so divine!!! Also made salmon fillets.

They were

2 fresh salmon fillets
lemon juice
parsley and garlic

Grilled in the oven, goes crispy, yum!!!

Served with a slice of wholewheat bread for the soup.

2x slim slabs (diet bar type things... 70 cals each)

Ah, I was feeling decadent... so glad I could do it in a healthy way!

So I really should go on this forum more after work... I was going to skip gym, but now I am going! And that after just reading 3 or 4 posts...

DAMN, YOU GUYS, EVERYONE ON THIS FORUM, YOU'RE INSPIRING!!!

I'm off to gym! :)

After Gym:

I did weight training for about 50 minutes, with 5 mins of fast walking and running intervals before and after.

Yay me!

sugar free jelly (1.5 sachets)

certainly plenty of fruit and vegetables again for me!

Soooo.... Today my boss is taking our development team out for lunch.

FYI:

I work for a company that designs and creates a software system that can run a "Loyalty Programme" (like frequent flier miles / points systems) for big companies. I work in an office with 7 Programmers (all men), one Boss Lady, and my brother who does Quality Testing.

Anyway, we've been working on this big project and The management and other directors are taking us out to lunch today. We are going to a place called "Tuscan BBQ".

Here's the catch (for me anyway!) - It's an "all you can eat" buffet, plus we're getting the "all you can drink" option too... Ye, we go all out :) (But really this doesn't happen often, usually they're slave driving us for deadlines on overtime :p )

So here's what I'm going to do:

I will drink dry white wine until I want to stop (guaging by how much others are drinking... think we might be coming back to work after). I will have a portion of every yummy vegetable or salad dish (even the creamy ones) and I will have some chicken without the skin or seafood if there is... I'll have something wholewheat if there is. And I will have fruit and maybe something else if there's a healthy-ish option for dessert.

This is all paid for, I gotta get in all the nutrients I can :)

TAKE NOTE: The above is the max I will go. It all depends on what foods there are and when I feel satisfied. I will not eat until I am uncomfortably full.
This is me taking a pledge by the way! You guys need to hold me accountable :) I'll come check in here after lunch!

After work it's off to belly dancing and then I'm going straight to gym to do my run and I want to get in a swim.

I am so excited for today, woohoo!!!

Hi guys - sorry I didn't get to post last night, worked late and it was a pretty bad day at work so didn't feel like talking/posting/chatting/anything much.

I did get in 90 min of exercise before I went into work.

Food for yesterday -

Grapes
Chicken Breast, Broccoli, Peppers, Carrots
Popcorn
Apple
Bowl of Raisin Bran w/2% milk

And 1 Corona with Lime to take the edge of the day. :)

Ankebuzz - good luck with the lunch! Sounds delightful - and very tempting.

Everyone else - hope you are all doing well! Two more days (including today) til weigh-in. Hope my slip ups at the beginning of the week don't hurt my loss tomorrow. I never check until the actual day of weigh in.

The weather is crappy and rainy here - it sucks that I haven't been able to walk the dogs. I have two little primadonnas that don't like getting their feet wet...grrrr.
