I should do quite well with this week's mini challenge. I do a lot of exercise walking every day.
 
This should be easy..I've already done a mile today but it doesnt start til tomorrow LOL so I guess I better keep it up this week:party:
 
yes!!! its 6:30 on monday morning and i'm already up to two miles!!! this should be a piece a cake!!! yay!!! good luck to everyone else on this mini-challenge!!!
 
I love this mini-challenge! I hope I'll be able to walk enough, 'cause this week is *star* week for me and I usually have some problems exercising...Plus, my weight is going up! :( well, let's hope this week gets by quickly!
 
This should be so easy it is silly for me. I normally do at least two exercise walks each day - but today we travelled home from a long weekend away. On getting in I went out and did one of my normal walks. It is less than normal - but gets me off the ground:
7 miles.
 
Well it sounds like everyone is enjoying the first mini challenge...i didn't get the chance to walk today. There is a big cold front moving through and is really bother my knee...(stupid fronts). So I am taking my doctor's advice and just stretching it rather than exercising on it when it is aching or flared up. I dont' want to make it worse. Hopefully the weather is better tomorrow for me.
 
I will try to do my best...I have 2 little daughters and generally I only can walk with them, so not long distance! Yesterday I walked 2.75 km, that is in miles...someone help me please!!!!

If you go to Google and in the search area type in the conversion you want, it will do it all for you.

"5km in miles" returns the converted distance.

That little trick also works for nearly any scientific unit conversion. (Ounces in kg, fl oz in cc, gal in litre, 75F in C, etc.)



Also, i did 2.6miles yesterday (my dogs LOVED it), a bit chilly out though.
 
I am sorry about your knees.

I am up to 17.3 miles so far for the week. I have updated the posting with weights etc on page 4. Is that what you envisaged Jenn?

lol wow 17.3?? geeze...i guess walking was the way to go for bonus points...at this rate everyone will get like 15 points for one mini challenge lmao
 
I havent walked one mile....and i have lost 2 lbs. not bragging.
I was wondering...so far I lost 16lbs and I feel like I am not losing inches because my clothes still fit. What I am thinking who cares about weight, what about inches..HOW DO I LOSE INCHES??? ANYBODY?

Goal for april 15th: 120
Goal for may 15th: 118
Goal for june 15th: 115-116

Small goals but for some reason this is all taking me FOREVERRRRRRRRR
 
I did 2 miles today go me! So...officially I have one point lol. I forget when the weigh ins are?? So I guess i'll go back to page one now and check! I hope people are still in this come back to the forum!!
 
I did another 2 miles yesterday, up to 6 so far this week (updated my post on page3); this time my Fiance came with me. Strange how walking with someone that's shorter than you can cramp your stride cadence.
And walking in springtime New England rain/sleet SUX; I believe my dogs hate me now.
 
I am updating my scoresheet on page 4 with my exercise walks.
I am now up to 37.8 miles for the week to date.

I am hoping that my bonus points for this mini challenge will see me through the ones to come where I will pick up hardly any points.

JonnyG - if it makes you feel any better - the 3 miles that I have just done in the rain in England was no joy either. The rest of the week since Monday has been fine - but they are talking about the weather getting progressively worse over the next few days.

My husband always wants to walk a lot slower than me. He hasnt done any walking for a few weeks now though!
 
Today is weigh in day???!! Im excited about this!

As of today, at 149.5..so since Sunday thats 1.5 pounds. Im happy about it considering I didn't work my butt off.

How is everyone else doing????
 
I'm totally bummed today; i've been stalled all week at around 215, and then i woke up this morning and i was 217.2! I think its just water retention (had some really salty food yesterday), but i still cant help but be sullen at the increase.
I need to start doing something that will make me sweat.. these walks with the dog dont seem to be doing it.. and the rowing on the bowflex isnt doing it either... I'm not ready to start the Couch-to-5k thing yet (imho) - and its too cold besides.. and i cant do cardio in my house cuz the place is OLD and rapid momentum changes make the whole house move..

I was thinking of just layering up (5-6 layers) and taking the dog for a (much) longer walk... i currently do 2miles.. i'm thinking 4-5 miles would be better for both of us.
