20lbs or less club

Hey freshman15, are you a freshman at uni? Good luck w/the dorm food! (And make use of the school gym, haha.)

That's what I'm doing now, anyway!
 
Yah im first year at university. I try to avoid food from the cafe lol, I thought wraps wouldn't be so bad but you should see them squeeza dressing onto those things, its disgusting.
 
I agree!

Food can be a comfort.. keep you awake.. help you celebrate.. etc. I'm doing good taking REAL food for lunches though. I used to do the vending machine grab.. i know i know.. but now I take substantial things and I feel so much better. It definitely helps prevent the after class pigout I've done soooo many times. :eek:
 
It is so frusterating. I find that the hardest time to keep up with dieting and exercising is when the scale wont budge... because then you feel like all your effort if worthless.
But if you are eating healthy and exercising you will lose weight. You can't burn more calories then you consume and not lose. It's probably a little plateau and you just have to tough through it. It's also really important that you do eat enough so your body doesn't go into starvation mode.
 
I have been having such a hard time lately...eating waaay too much...I hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm going to try to get back on the wagon again.
 
So I usually weigh myself everyday because I like to know. and I started this at 136.6 two weeks ago and today I weighed in at 131.8 so thats... almost 5lbs!!! I don't really count the everyday just once a week.. but wow! I am really excited right now! Next wed. is the next weigh in.. how is everyone else doing?
 
Hay all, been away for a little while!
Well term is over now and ive managed not to put any weight back on which is good. So now I want to re double my efforts to start losing again! Have a good weekend all!
 
My progress report...

I've made progress this year, but it's sloooooow going. I tend to do a little flucuating too. I haven't posted everytime I've gone up or down a bit.. but I think I'll start doing that now. It just takes a sec to update it.

I took a couple weeks real easy.. got sick.. lasted over a week and a half! And that was after 3 weeks of getting up early and doing a 20 min tready 5 days a week and my regular workouts 5 days a week. So, now I'm back on track and if I workout today that'll make 5 workouts. I haven't gotten up first thing yet. I wanted to have a week or two or this first.. I've been a little sore. :eek:

Here's the deal.. or what I'm trying to focus on and work through.. I'm worrying about doing things I can maintain. Lots of exercise, but nothing crazy... as much water as I can, which varies day to day... eating reasonably and much less at night. Eating what I want, but having treats mixed in too. And I tell you what.. loss is slooooow, but I am losing and feeling better. My MIL and SIL are on shape up plans and one is doing more like me.. the other dieting and not even eating dinner... and they are losing, but you have to do what you can maintain and since I've know both of them they haven't.

I maintained weight loss and exercise and got better and better after my youngest.. was on a 3.5 yr streak, before I faltered and started to slowly gain back and get into a size up.. So, obviously what I'm doing is working.

Anyway, chins up if it's slow... just take it a day at a time. If you can pass on something.. do it.. if not.. have a little guilt free. And work that booty! It's really the only way to do it.

Good luck this week. I'm hoping after bobbing up and down a bit this last couple months I can post a loss.
 
I've lost three pounds this week :) :) )

had a bad nite last nite, but today being sooooo good. I hope i can lose another 3 pounds this week. If i manage that, then next week i'm getting my belly button peirced :p for a treat- i'd wait till i lose the weight but i'm going on holiday and don't want to get it too soon before i go.
 
I've lost another pound. If i can get to even 9 and a half stone for my holiday i'll be happy enough. Although under 9 stone could be better!!

Hey guys! I am currently 5'6 and 131lbs and want to weigh 120. I gained the 11 lbs in the last year and a half. It is very upsetting for me and I am trying to get back on the wagon. My plan starts tomorrow. I would like some support and would like to help someone else with their goals too!

hi, im beccy, and i also want to loose a little , im 5"6 also and im 150 lbs! i have yo yo'd up and down for years, sometimes feeling really easy to just shed weight and other times it just never seeming to come off. well! im at that stage again!i desperately wanna loose weight, but still suffing ma face! so today is the start of a healthy exercise and diet rejime for me! i have quite a large frame and when im at 9stones i look verry slim , so im looking to loose 25 lbs which should bring me back to 9 st from 10st 11lb! so maybe we can buddy up and share tips and plans and spure each other on! let me know how ya doing! speak soon

I wish I could blame my current lack of weight loss on being in college, but I think it's not so much dorm food as it is me eating too much of it. Or not eating much of it and then pigging out on snacks afterward. I miss real food!

I also miss having a flat(ter) stomach. Time for me to hit the gym!
 
I'm in the "weigh yourself everyday" club.. and just wanted to announce a little achievement for myself. I weighed in at 129lbs! Something I haven't been at in about 3-4 years!!! So I am very excited.. and just wanted to let yall know that anyone can do it!! Just keep on keepin on.. 14 lbs to go!

Hello Everyone! :) I'm new here. Trying to loose 10lbs. I'm 5'6" and weight 140lbs right now. I've started to exercise last week:
*Walking 20 minutes/day
*Doing Pilates 20 minutes/day
*Weighlifting 10 minutes/day

I'm also trying to cut calories, by eating a healthy breakfast, going to Subway for lunch, and cutting soda (drink about 2-3 cans a day of Coke)

Should I be doing Pilates everyday? I've heard that it should be done every other day in order to be effective. Any thoughts?:confused:
