zoila diary

Ok, Zoila, where are you? No hiding, I know you posted in my diary, so post here too!
Can't wait to hear how your day went!

Haha Nothingtolose was trying to post but my computer froze on me and couldnt get back on for a while. Thanks though for keeping an eye on me, its nice to know you are there to give me a kick along lol.

Well, its friday and so far going ok. Got all my water in yesterday, and most of it today. The big acheivement for me is I have only had about two cans of diet drink. Usaly I drink the stuff like water so I am really happy and surprised I have manage to cut it down so well. Lol turns out when your drinking 2lts of water a day there is not a whole lot of room left for it.
The weekend will be the real challenge for me as it is usaly hard staying on tract when my hubby is home. But I am determined. Cant wait to weigh my self, hanging out for it. My friends have been cheating and weighing there selves at home, but I want to wait the full week. They have had reallly good results already though so it make me hopeful, for a good loss.

Zoila, good job on sticking to it and reducing the sodas and drinking water!
As for weekend, make a plan on when you're eating what. It will be easier to not think about it later and make good choices, because they are already pre-planned.

Really concentrate on staying on track this weekend. I know you can do it.

Hey Zoila! Great job on drinking all your water. It does help with the sodas though, doesnt it? I found the same thing. I used to drink tons of diet sodas, but now I dont drink as many. Like you said, after all that water there just isnt enough time or room for much else!

Keep up the great work. Look forward to hearing about your weigh in. You have some good will power to wait the entire week. I would probably be more like your friends and cheat myself. lol. Hang in there. Its always harder with hubby home, but I know you can do it! Have a great weekend!! :)

Hi guys, well sunday today so weekend is nearly over. Hubby and the kids had Macdonalds last night. But it was cool I didn't sway. I had grilled chicken and salad and an orange for dinner. Didnt get all my water in though hopefully will do better today.

Ok so I officaly survived the weekend. Not too bad but not as well as I hoped. Did pretty bad witht the water today and yesterday. I was sick most of Saturday and ended up in bed most of the day so not enough water was taken in plus I miss two meals which is not good I know but couldnt be helped. Today was going ok, we took the kids out to fun station for the day so I had time for my shakes but not the protein at lunch I am supose to have. Then Hubby cooked Lamb roast for dinner. ooh it smelt so good. We cook it on the rotisary (sp) so most of the fat drains off and I didnt eat any of the vegies as I know I am not allowed the faves such as potatoe and carrote not to meantion they were covered in fat. So Hubby had those and I made up a salad to go with the meat. Sounds weird combo I know but was quiet nice. Only problem was I took too much meat. Was planning on weighing out my 120gms but by the time we got home and put it on,mother inlaw droped around so we didnt get to eat till 8pm and I was starving. Plus as I missed out on my protein earlier in the day was hoping it would average out. I know it doesnt really work that way but its a once off, and better then I could have been. Not enough water today but I will get it all in tommorow. Hope everyone else had good weekend.

Weigh in day is tuesday morning.

Hi, Zoila,

Don't worry about little mishaps, things happen sometimes. The main thing is that you did well on McD trip - great accomplishment, AND you did not eat starches at dinner. Congratulations, this is a great job! You are working hard at it, and things will pay off for you! Just keep at it! Every day is a new day, remember?

Yes I rember everyday is a new day. Gee I love that saying. Well did well today with the eating, still strugling with the water. Weigh in day tomorow morning. I cant wait be hanging out for it. lol never thought I would say that before.

Sounds great! Good luck on the weigh in tomorrow. Keep drinking water, you're doing great. My water has not been so great lately either.

Let us know how it goes!

Hey Zoila! Sorry to hear you were sick. Glad you are feeling better! Good luck with your weigh in! I got my fingers crossed for ya, but I am sure it will go great! :)

Hope your week is starting off well! :) Keep up the great work!

Well after tripple checking with my friends on Friday what day we were going down to get weighed and buy our next week supply of shakes. They decided Tuesday which was cool since that was the day I started proply. My daughter was sick yesterday morning so I kept her home but wasnt too worried as I knew they were going down tuesday not monday. Turned up today droped daughter off and was ready to go only to be told that water arobics was cancled yesterday so they decided to go down then. They said they waited for me and I pointed out my daughter was sick, but a phone call would of been nice. Am a bit peeved but oh well, I went down on my own again today. Thought about it afterwards and decided its probably a could thing to ge use to in case they decide to quit at any stage I am use to going down and doing it in my own steam.

Saying all that I weighed in and I lost 3.7kilos which is 8.15pounds. Decided I like pounds better as it sounds like you lost more lol. I Know that is a really good weight loss but was a little bit disapointed. One of the testimonials had a woman losing 6kg in her first week. Now I know its just one woman but stupidly got my hopes up and set my aim a bit high. Plus when the woman weighed me she had this amazed expression and sound that I thought it was a really big number lol. I guess they dont get many geting that 6kg or she wouldnt of been so easily impressed. My two friends that were doing it as well, one of them lost 4kg, and as I am bigger then her I expected to lose a little bit more. 3.7 is good I know would of like to break the 4kg though. Anyway have more reasonable expectations for next week. I am happy though dont get me wrong. Plus she messured my waist again and have lost 5cm there. Guess thats why I havent been getting back aches this week. Funny always lose it off my waist first.

GOOD JOB!!!! WHOOO-HOOOO! ARE YOU KIDDING???? 3.7 kilos is GREAT!
I am so happy for you! What a wonderful result! If anyone looses 6 kilos in a week, it is mostly water loss anyway. When you start dieting and adjusting, your body looses water as well as fat. Some of your loss could be water as well, especially if you're drinking more water. That's ok, that's part of the weight loss process. I just want you to look at it realistically, because I don't want you to feel dissapointed because of unreasonable expectations. Please don't believe all the hype people play up for commercial diets.
Also, it is good (and normal) to be loosing 1-2 lbs per week, which is 0.5 - 1 kilos per week, so any loss you experience above it - just be happy!!! I think because your starting weight is high, it will be easier for you to loose more then 1 kilo per week, so I think you'll get your first 10 kilos off in no time!

Also what a great news on waist measurement! 5 cm is awesome!!! Hard to believe that it happened in a week!

Overall, I'm very happy with your success. You have to keep going girl!
Sorry about your friends - that's kind of annoying that they did not call you, but you're right, if you get in a habit driving there by yourself, then its going to be easier to stick with it.

Yeah, I totaly agree with you Nthtolose. As the day has gone on I have been a lot happier with the results. I think I just had really unrealistic expectations so initaly I was taken aback. But thinking on it I know its good. I also was surpised about the 5cm in only one week.

Eight pounds in one week is amazing!! You definitely should not feel disappointed at all! :) Congratulations! Its always so great to see all our efforts start to pay off. Sounds like you have found a program that is working well for you. How much weight a week does this diet suggest people will lose once they are past the first week?

Keep up the great work!! :)

Hey Girlfriend That Is A Great Loss Dont Be Disappointed Cause You Are Shrinking And That Is What Matters!!!! You Can Do It Keep Up The Good Work!

Thanks guys. I really do feel this diet is working for me. Fluff they say about a 1kg a week after the inital week, though they told me it might be slower for me because of my thyroid (though I am on tablets for it). Today I went and had a look at the testimonals from there web site and I had read it wrong the woman lost 6kg in 10days which is 3 more then 7 so I dont mind so much now lol.
I actualy feel really good in my self more importantly. I was thinking today how stable my moods have been lately, I havent lost my temper once, and been having more fun with the kids. I got to the end of the day yesterday, you know after the dinner, bath bedtime rush was over. Normaly I am gutted by then cause it just takes so much energy, that I dont normaly have. But I felt fine. I think it because the shakes have all the nutrients you need in them. Before my diet was really bad and I wasn't getting any of the good nutrients in, now I feel really alive I can see what an important difference it makes. Also I know cutting all that sugar out of my diet has helped my moods to stablize, instead of swinging all over the place. I cant wait to lose more weight cause I know this feeling is only goint to keep geting better.

Hi hope you dont mind, but I friend just sent me this story and I thought it was so nice and truthful that I would post it on here.:p

An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole

which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while
the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.
At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot
arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the
woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water.
Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor
cracked pot was ashamed of its own perfection, and miserable that it could
only do half of what it had been made to do.
After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the
woman one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in
my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house."
The old woman smiled, "Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of

the path, but not on the other pot's side?
That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower
seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water
them."
"For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate

the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this
beauty to grace the house".
Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each
have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've

just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in
them.
To all of my crackpot friends, have a great day and remember to smell the
flowers, on your side of the path.

FROM ONE CRACKED POT TO ANOTHER -------have a great day!!

You are sooo right!! I love losing weight.. I like to brag a bit about it, which is stupid, but the higher the number, the more I feel I DESERVE to brag, lol. 8 lbs is amazing! Your doing a great job, and don't ever be dissapointed in losing anything.
:)

Hey girl! Congratulations on losing 8 pounds! That is great! :D I tend to lose weight slowly because of my thyroid too. But losing is better than still gaining. That is a great story, Crack Pot! :D
