Hey Zoila! I know what you mean about the diet soda thing. I love them too. I could drink them all day. I have been better, and cut down to about three a day, sometimes four. When I started drinking more water, I natrually started drinking less soda. I dont know if I could completely give them up. They are kinda like my coffee, since I dont drink that. Good luck giving them up. I am sure you can do it!!
17 dollars a week does sound like a lot. The site I use to count calories is called Fitday.com. Its free, and the list of foods it has is pretty extensive. You can also use it to keep track of how many calories you are burning each day, and your exercise routine. It is a nice site.
Sorry about your son running off like that. Dont you wish we could get into the heads of our kids? What are they thinking half the time? I doubt there is a mom alive that hasn't had a similiar experience though, so take comfort in that. Kids will do the oddest things sometimes. The other week a friend and I met at the playground with our kids. Her son, for whatever reason stuck his head between some bars on the stair rail of the playground equipment. He was stuck! Could not get his head out. I thought we were going to have to call the fire department (can you imagine??). But luckily we freed his head. His mother was like "What were you thinking??" Of course, he didn't know. Sheeesh....kids. Mine have done crazy crazy stuff as well! All part of the Mom job!
Keep up the great work!! Let me know how giving up the sodas works out. Maybe you could give me some tips.
