Weight-Loss WLF Team Challenge - Team SUCCESS!

Weight-Loss
Good going everybody! I'm looking forward to this weekend. I only gained .3 lbs after yesterday's blunder.

I was also thinking that a challenge like this is great for beginners (like me) by incorporating each step (mini-challenge) one at a time and getting used to it. By doing a weight-loss plan like this, I find that I'm more likely to stick to all the elements (water, exercise, fruits, veggies, etc) even after the challenge will be over.

I got my two fruits (strawberries and a banana in my cereal) this morning. I'll be working on more of the water and my veggies now (lettuce, raw baby carrots and broccoli in a sizable salad for lunch). And be sure to get in that hour of exercise later this evening. I'm pumped about getting back on track!

Well done!

I have done my exercise - outdoor walking again. No zumba or aerobics today because of Easter. I'm over 15,000 steps so far.

I am still drinking my second litre of water... There is plenty time to get that all done...

I have had more than enough fruit - a tin of apricots, 6 clementine oranges and an apple so far

There is a big pan of vegetables cooking for our evening meal. We will be having roast turkey.
veg: swede, carrot, leek, red onion

Mands - that is excellent inspiration for SUCCESS!

You are right Belinda - challenges are brilliant for putting together a really healthy food plan and blueprint for a healthy lifestyle... I learned such a lot in the old challenges...

I am nervous for the weigh-in already. My last weigh-in was bigger than expected...(2.5lbs)...I am so nervous the scale was wrong or something!

Was/Is super cold here today so getting outside to workout is not going to happen. But I will definitely do some form of exercise later this evening. Unfortunately it is supposed to be near freezing temps until Thursday :( might need to modify!

Got all of my water and fruits/veggies points so far!

I think I want to plan one day a week from now on to have a really intense workout...really push myself. I am thinking that Thursdays might be a good day for that...I'll have stress from work built up by then but the week won't be completely over. Might be nice!

Happy Monday to you all!

Camilla - the scale does that to all of us... Many of us will be higher than a few days ago... I know that I have had a comparatively small amount of chocolate both yesterday and today - and a bit less rigid than normal so a gain is quite reasonable... If you look around the forum as a whole - a lot of people are saying that their weight is up today... The bank holiday is over tomorrow and people like me that have had a little splurge will get back to normal...

Well done on the max points.

I know what you mean about it being unpleasant to walk outdoors when it is very cold...

We had a drive out into the countryside today and we had intended to have a walk while we were out - but there was so much snow lying where we were that I did my walking after we got home... It has snowed most days for the last month - but luckily none of it is lying here...

I am on my third litre of water now - but I am confident that I will finish it before the end of the day.

I see that San has posted this in the other thread.

Right, the person with the highest weight loss, in %, from last week is.....drumroll.....Bundybrad19 with 1.94%!! :hurray:

That means that he's going to have to come up with the mini challenge for next week. The mini challenge can be pretty much anything, as long as it is somehow connected to weight loss. You can also determine how many points the challenge is worth.

Please let me know what you would like to challenge the teams with by Thursday noon at the latest (that would be....erhm.....Wednesday evening for you, I think), so we can put it up here. :)

Well done Brad, and well done everybody else, very good points all around! :))

Well done Brad. When you decide what you want everyone to do and the point structure - post it in the main challenge thread.

Thanks everyone we are all doing well, as much s I'm this to become healthier and loose weight, I am highly competitive so I'm aiming at wining, I have a few ideas in mind for the challenge should be good fun

LOL Brad - I think that we are all highly competitive... That is one reason why SUCCESS! was such a good name for our team. We are all doing brilliantly.

I notice that we all got excellent water and exercise points last week on the scores that San published. We are setting the pace for the other teams to keep up with. Our strategy is working well.

I finished off my third litre of water for Monday (as I predicted) so that means that Monday has been another maximum points day for me.

I finished my hour on the bike and also finished my 3rd liter of water at the same time. Max points for Monday!

I have had some fruit for my Tuesday breakfast. It was tropical fruit salad containing melon, pineapple, mango and kiwi fruit. I had 320g and the packaging said that this was equivalent to 4 of the 5-a-day portions... That's the fruit side of the challenge done already. I will get the veg in my main meal.

I'll be doing some walking soon. That should get me the exercise points...

Exercise would not be a problem even if I didnt go walking today. I am going out to salsa tonight. I will do three salsa classes so should add some good steps then...

Only about 6:30 AM here...almost done with my first Liter of water! I more than expect to get all of my points today...will report back if something goes wrong haha. Hopefully not!

Happy Tuesday, everyone!!!

First of all WAY TO GO BRAD..your an inspiration to us all..cant wait to see what mini challenge you have in store for us.
Sunday..we had a family day and went to a maple syrup farm..we were going for a hike but it was freezing rain and it was so cold.I did get my water points(3) in and my fruits and veges(5) and a half hour of exercise (1)My daughters and I are doing a 30 squat challenge .Never thought I could be in so much pain..lol.But it will be worth it .
Monday.. I went and got carrots, cucumber and celery sticks, cut them all up and put them in the fridge. Its so much easier to eat them when they are ready for you.plus I had a half container of raspberries and a banana so 5 points there. The water points as well.I went and got a 1.5 litre water bottle and just keep refilling it.(3) and half hour of execise not including the squats.
Tuesday..I am still drinking my morning coffee.I have the day off so it will be easier to get done what I need to get done.Everyone have a great day I will be posting periodically during the day.

Dont be nervous love..We all get on the scale when we see a loss and dont really believe it..The scales are are wrong or it needs new batteries..something.lol.If you or any of us gain a lb or 2 there is a reason for it.It doesnt mean we didnt do an awesome job.we just might have to tweek something
.I was 151 for 3 weeks.was getting really discouraged.ate EVERYTHING that was good for me.I dont know if you know but I am staying away from potatoes and was craving them severely. So not only did I have a scoop (not 3 like i normally would)of potatoes with gravy,Hadnt had gravey or potaotoes in 3 months. I had turkey and peas..It was so good.I felt soooo guilty I didnt weigh for 2 days petrified that I had gained 5 lbs..I had lost 1 lb. and I was thinking thats wrong ,but i didnt gain it back.I think I needed to shock my system or something.but i didnt gain it back.
I am also staying away from white rice and white bread,That being difficult.I have been making my own bread from scratch since i was 20,But my husband and kids have gotten accustomed to it so I cant stop making it..I just dont eat it lol.
Anyway Love,YOU ARE DOING GREAT!!
I am starting my water as we type lol.
Have a great day
Hope this helped:grouphug:

This team is powering ahead.

I've been out walking... LOL I walked into town and one of my friends was doing a street theatre show in the main shopping street so I stood with his girlfriend and watched the 25 minute show cheering them on... Then walked home... It was a nice trip out and with 16,000 steps on my pedometer I have got our exercise points sealed up.

I've had more fruit (2 tins apricots, 1 plum, 1 banana) in addition to the fruit I had this morning.

I have also had 400g vegetables (red onions, courgette, tomatoes, red pepper, yellow pepper).

I have also had my 3 litres of water and done plenty extra exercise. I did a further walk that was approximately 2 miles and 3 salsa classes plus some social salsa dancing.

That's another max points Tuesday for me. :biggrinjester:

Fruits (strawberries and a banana), veggies (corn and green beans) done.

30 mins of exercise and 1 liter left to go with plenty of time to finish.

Edit: Did an hour of exercise, bringing it up to 1 1/2 hours today. Drank another 1.5 liters of water. Maxed points for today :)
