Weight-Loss WL competition: TEAM PLATINUM

Weight-Loss
Good news, I think my weight gain was water retention. My new diet has me drinking a lot of fluids (swear I had to use the washroom every hour) and it must have flushed me out because I'm down 4.2lb (started the diet on Sunday).

I'm a little more optimistic now. :)

How is everyone else doing?

Loch - drinking plently of water is often a good idea. It sounds like your new food plan is really working well for you. Congratulations on 4.2 pounds. That is a wonderful loss.

Thanks Omega. It was a hard challenge to drink all that water last week, but I can definitely see the benefits so that's why I'm sticking to it ^^.

I'm sticking with it too... To be honest I know that I am so sodium sensitive that I gain silly amounts of weight if sodium gets near me - and water is the only way to cancel it out...
When you are running for the bathroom - think of me running to the bathroom too...

It is so worth it when you get results like you got. :)

San got the honour of setting the new mini challenge...

The new mini challenge which starts Friday is

mini challenge....

How about.....

'Include at least two portions of fruit and two portions of vegetables into your daily diet.'

I don't drink calories normally anyway, I may have a beer once every 6 months or so but water is normal, and shoveling mud during flood cleanup in town is good exercise. Was cleared of spinal injury last week after the car accident, it was just muscular injury. Although broken fingers mean I can't grip a bar for normal lifting, with propper strapping other exercises are ok including single arm pushups :D

Good habits does not always equal weight loss, No loss for me this week.

Feb. 1 271.2lbs (2.6lbs)
ex. points 12
mini chall. points 7

Now I can get back to my orange juice in mornings! :)

(Will update a bit better after work)

Steve

Steve

Feb. 22 263.4lbs (1.6lbs)
ex. points: 14
mini chall. points: 7

Pretty disappointed with that loss, but hopefully it's just water etc :( Think it's been my lowest so far, but hey it's still going down so can't complain I guess!

Just double checking...
The mini challenge was 1 point for 5 minutes meditation, 2 points for 10 minutes meditation...

You are claiming 7 points...
Did you not maximise the points - or have assumed that it is 1 point a day?

I don't want you missing out for work you may have done.

Even though I'll be talking to myself, guess I better remember to post here! :D

Points 0-3 - Replacing weekend shopping drive with walk. (You suddenly realise buying so much is bad when carrying it all back! :( )

Points 3-4 - Bought some Kiwi Berries (Never again! Yuck)

Points 4-6 - Food Log - Saturday aka Cheat day :)

Breakfast:
Bacon Sarnie
Smooth Orange Juice

Lunch:
Large Cheese & Onion Baguette
Alpen Lite Summer Fruits Cereal Bar

Dinner:
1/2 a Thin Crust Meat Feast Pizza
Kiwi Berries (ps Yuck!)

It's strange looking at a list of what is now my cheat day, and yet not long ago that would be a mere snack! (Thankfully no more!)

Steve

Well done on securing 6 points.

I don't need to tell you that you can secure the remaining 4 by a quick photo reveal of what you look like now...

See you can think that you are talking to yourself in your team thread - but I do not let people get away from me that easily...

I hope that your exercise is going well... Mine is going great (even my zumba/salsa teacher was stunned when he saw my step count for yesterday on my pedometer when step counts came up in conversation tonight)... I would hate to think that you were being out-exercised by this 53 year old...

You may be feeling lonely because some of your team-mates appear to have disappeared - but this means that your points will be magnified in the scaling process. If only one or two members remain and they earn maximum points - it will be like a whole team full of people had earned the maximum points... That very notion would certainly make me work extra hard and strive for the maximum...

Damn! :D Don't mind it being quiet as such, as I'm still reading everyone elses, just feels weird posting here when no-one else is :)

Points 7-10

460 lbs~ (Never weighed, but I know it's higher than my 440 one)

261 lbs~ (At last Saturdays Weight)
