What I saw during my walk today

I didn't take any photos on my walk today - but it is worthy of note...

After my normal daily walk it was sunny so we decided to take advantage of it and went out for the day. We used our HHA cards for the first time this year. We are members of HHA so we do not have to pay on entry to a lot of Historical Houses... We drove up to Kelso which is across the Scottish border 70 miles from our home and went walking in the grounds of Floors Castle.

It was well organised - we had to book online so they could ensure that there were not too many people there. Everyone kept their distance and all in all we were really pleased that we went.

"Scotland’s Largest Inhabited Castle"

who lives there? ... the Floors?

looking at the website... if you don't mind me saying.... OMG !! ... how could you not have taken a picture??

LOL I've been there tons of times... You get used to things with familiarity... My husband used to drive us there often when he was allowed to drive.
Its the first time I've driven there though... Its the furthest north that I have driven as I only started driving this summer.

the best way to enjoy Cap'n Crunch ... at a distance....

... i don't think they put anything other than cereal in the box anymore anyway.

too funny.... the tale of the wandering tennis ball continues....

it's been in that parking lot over a month now.
pretty sad this is the extent of my entertainment these days.

i'm seeing too much of this around town...

bad news ... no parking.

how amazing is the internet...

Lady Mary FitzRoy ... a slightly tragic story.

how on earth are people having a problem with home schooling?
almost every day i seem to learn something new without ever leaving home.
of course i forget most of it in a few days, but.... damn.

This is the Bronze statue mentioned in the link without a pic, I took this pic this morning outside the hairdresser, I feel a lot better without the long hair :)

cool... almost looks as though she is dipping her toes in the ... Mary River?

lol ... i'm going just the opposite way... i haven't been out to get a haircut in well over a year now.

Did the slowest and shortest walk ever today. I stayed within sight of home the whole time but walked some places I had not been before. Walking slow let me get lots of pictures. Things I had not noticed before, surprising what is out there so close to home.

The neighbors' yard art. Until recently all of this was farm land, much of this old equipment was just sitting around, people turned it into decoration.

The red roof house in the background is mine.

The fields with the hills in the background are gorgeous. The one before that is giving me horror movie vibes: the calm before the storm.

Sunrise Day 2

Home safe but so sore I can hardly move
