What I saw during my walk today

These pics are from Carlo Sandblow, I posted them in my diary as part of a hiking discussion, the blow in a 2k steep uphill walk from the carpark

Love the photos - the first one with the blue, blue sky, and indispensable corrugated iron, and the enticing winding track in the second one.
I like the good, clear signage, too. (Though maybe the colours might be a bit tricky for the visitor to assess? - I'm thinking fading over time, and how important it is for visitors to know exactly where the firing range is, to keep away from.)

This is the track used for Park Run, the shooting range has well marked warning signs along the fence line. I think a lot of people outside of Aus believe we don't have many guns, which is quite untrue, If you need a gun it is straight forward to get a licence and buy one. A lot of National Parks re-open today so more options for walking.

Ooooh I love this thread! Great photos, and I love seeing how everyone's walks are so unique and interesting!

for those who watch too much news... another day of no riots or looting in our neighborhood.

... and Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo appears to still be intact.

... though i'm sure he had his flaws, too.

i fear the Pier Cafe might be gone for good. before this they had just reopened a few months earlier having survived the pier being closed for ~6 months while it was being repaired from a winter storm.

no birds today, but plenty of bees....

Thanks for the photos, Flyer! :)
I came in here to just write words about what I saw on my walk today (with the neighbour's dog) - I wish now I'd taken some pictures - the scattering of almond blossom petals on the footpath, mimicked by the white rounds of a lichen in amongst them, wattle in glorious full bloom, an unexpected half-garden on an empty (ie unoccupied) block of land, ashes from a bonfire and two wiltjas made of branches on that same block of land (not meaning real Aboriginal wiltjas - more like passing teenagers camping the night).

bad timing...?
